During the Wednesday night edition of CNN's AC360, hosted by Anderson Cooper, Gloria Borger made an incredibly ignorant statement when she said that the "bar is even lower for Donald Trump" in the second presidential debate because he was so poor in the first.

During the segment, Former Trump campaign manager and surrogate suck up Corey Lewandowski said that the Town Hall format will be much easier for Donald and he said he advised Trump to speak directly to the people asking the questions and said, "My recommendation to Donald Trump, to talk to the person who has asked you the question. answer their question."

CNN analyst Gloria Borger was up next and she said, "We're in a situation now too where the bar is even lower for Donald Trump than it was at the first debate."

Why is that Gloria? Shouldn't Donald Trump be held to a higher standard after his horrendous performance in the first debate?

Why are you rewarding his failed effort to try and present himself as a viable President of the United States by making it even easier for him the second time?

When is Donald Trump going to be judged like every other candidate running for the presidency?

Borger continued, "Because of his performance at the first debate for the last hour of it - I think now people are sort of going to say, well if he doesn't trip, he's done well."

If people [beltway journalists] think that then they should resign from their jobs. Borger made the same basic argument before the first debate and she was wrong then and she's doubly wrong now.

"And I think that the challenge for Hillary Clinton here is very different. Hillary Clinton did really well at that debate. She has to show her humanity here. Donald Trump has to show how substantive he is."

Donald Trump announced his candidacy on June, 16, 2015, and has participated in at least thirteen separate presidential debates. I think he's had enough time to present himself to the country in a presidential manner.

He should not be considered a beginner any longer. And even if one feels he is a beginner still, he's running for the highest office in the world and should not be allowed to under perform so miserably and then be allowed to skate away.

The minimum requirement for any presidential candidate is that when they show up, they appear dignified and at least have a basic understanding of the ideas they are supporting and can explain those ideas in a cogent fashion.
