During the second presidential debate, Donald Trump said he never acted out the words that he spoke in the 2005 sex tape.

That lie is coming back to bite him.

CNN host Alisyn Camerota had former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski floundering: how can he attack Bill and Hillary for events twenty years ago but excuse Trump from 2005?

The Trump camp has deliberately decided to dredge up Bill Clinton's past to attack Hillary.

Camerota asked, "What's the difference between these allegations and the allegations against Clinton?"

Corey had a difficult time trying to defend Donald Trump from recent sexual assault allegations and tried to turn it into a conspiracy by saying, "What I do find very interesting is the timing of this. We're now 26 days before the presidential election, we're talking about an incident that potentially took place 35 years ago or more."

Alisyn said, "Many instances." "Many instances that took place many decades ago..."

Lewandowski kept up the conspiracy and said, "If this incident had been so important to them, they could have - it could have talked about this many, many, many times, many opportunities."

After Camerota described the incident she asked, "What's the difference between these allegations and the old allegations against Clinton that he Trump campaign has fastened on?

Corey had no answer saying, "It's one person's word against another person's word."

She continued, "So why is Donald Trump going after Bill Clinton?"

Corey then shifted by attacking Hillary as a public defender since there is no defense for Trump's behavior and said, "What I think Donald Trump should be doing is going after Hillary Clinton's defense of a rapist."

Camerota said, "She was a public defender. This is what people do."

"Corey, You don't think lawyers should defend people accused of a crime?"

The Trump camp has been trying to turn defense attorneys into criminals for defending them -- ask Tim Kaine about their attempts to smear him with one of his cases.

Alisyn interrupted Corey's talking points and said, "...it is Donald Trump who has brought up Bill Clinton's past. what if all of this is true in his [Trump's] past?"

He continued to bash HRC for representing a man accused of raping a young girl, when she was a court-appointed attorney.

Trump surrogates are having a harder time lying and deflecting to protect their boss.
