Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you another prime example of what magic can happen when a focused interviewer will not allow a liar to simply lie and get away with it.

MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle was not going to let RNC spokesman Sean Spicer wiggle out and away from Hillary Clinton's speech outlining and detailing how Donald Trump is mainstreaming and normalizing racism.

When Spicer called her speech and new ad a "desperate act," Ruhle cut in and asked him whether any of the things she laid out in her ad were incorrect.

He could not answer, whining instead that the video was "over the top" and claiming he could have found Democrats with crazy ideas in Philadelphia too.

Ruhle steered him back over and over again. As frustrating as his deflections were, it was refreshing to see her simply confront him with her question and bring him back around.

Spicer did finally admit that he wouldn't call her a bigot like Trump did, which is nice.

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle noted that prominent Republicans haven't stood up and defended Trump from Clinton's attacks on him as having a history of racism. "Why do you think that is?" she asked the RNC official.

"I don't know, Congress is on recess, it's August, there's a lot of reasons," Spicer said.

He argued that Republicans were being held to another standard.

"I didn't hear a ton of people coming out yesterday and saying, 'Hillary's right, Donald Trump is a racist,'" he said, calling her attack "desperate."
