Trump's Ex-Butler Still Wants Obama Dead After Secret Service Chat?
May 17, 2016

Trump's crazy butler hasn't changed his mind about death to Obama.

Yep, turns out you can't fix crazy, but you can keep spewing it, even after the Secret Service has The Talk with you. Talking Points Memo:

“I think they (Secret Service) wanted to make sure I wasn't going to go there with a rifle," Senecal told the newspaper. "I told them it was too far to drive. I lived in Washington and hated it. I'm glad I got the hell out of there."

In a statement posted on his public Facebook page, Trump called Senecal’s comments “disgusting.”

“Mr. Senecal is obviously a very troubled man,” Trump wrote.

Senecal told the Journal that a Secret Service official asked about his mental health and whether he owned a firearm in an interview that lasted about 15 minutes. He dismissed the questions as “kind of silly.”

I don't think giving this guy much more attention is warranted, but I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention for a very important reason. Senecal may be "troubled," but he's not alone. The Secret Service does not release statistics on threats to the President, fearing copycats, but they do indicate that 75% of the threats directed at protectees come from those who are "mentally ill."

The Republican party has three specific policy problems that contribute to endangering political figures protected by the Secret Service, including Republicans. One, their NRA-pushed policy of maximizing access to guns. Second, their consistent de-funding of mental health agencies, and finally, their dependence on a media that de-legitimizes and villain-izes government, especially President Obama.

Nuts like Senecal are small potatoes compared to the Republican policies that make protecting government officials from violence that much harder.
