Doctor Ben Carson went on The Today Show, this morning to explain why he chose to endorse Donald Trump and then to speak up on the recent violence that has taken place during Trump's campaign rallies.

When a politician's campaign is defined by oppressing either a religion or entire swaths of minorities, usually protests will began to show up. But Carson laid all the blame on the protesters for the violence that has began.

When he was asked by Matt Lauer how he could support a man that is so diametrically different from himself, Ben said he spent some quality time with him and realized that Donald really loves America. Yea, he said that.

And then he went on to not fully understand what the first amendment protects citizens from in the Constitution.

Carson said, "The problem is that there are those who are being taught that if someone disagrees with you, you have the right to interfere with their First Amendment rights, their ability to express themselves, their freedom of speech. That's where the emphasis needs to be."

People aren't being taught that, Ben, they are upset of the way Trump has run his bigoted campaign. The first Amendment protects Americans from being silenced by the government.

Then Carson was asked if there will be more violence erupting at future Trump rallies by Matt Lauer, "do you see a general election season with escalating violence and words being used that are inflammatory like this?

Carson replied, " if the protesters continue with their Alinskyite tactics, there is a real possibility of escalation, because those who are the victims of them have two choices, they can submit to them and meekly do whatever those protestors want them to do, or they can fight back. And if they decide to fight back, there could be an escalation."

I haven't seen protesters demanding Trump supporters do anything at all. Did they ask them to turn over their wallets?

Ambien Ben continues to roll on...
