Dream A Better Dream

In the past five months, there was an opportunity to be more in touch with your perception; to understand how it has (or has not) worked for you, and your sense of reality. During this period, you've slowly drifted away from the fantasies, the illusions and possibly the assumptions. As life and relationships started to become more crystal clear, a sense of uncomfortableness may have been stirred. And in this new light, perhaps an awareness may have been gained of the wreckage that you had once found comfort in.

This week, dreamy Neptune will station direct on Wednesday November 18. Through an eclectic source of sparkling insights and replenished hope, we’re sailing back into the ocean of possiblities, gently blended with muddled promises.

Welcome to my nightmare. I think you’re going to like it. There’ll be some more when you come down. Alice Cooper

In this Neptune’s mystical journey, vision will gradually soften and blur again. And while life can appear to be moving again, if you're contained like a goldfish in a small glass bowl – it can be difficult to understand what is reality, and what is life. Neptune’s fog is enchanting, tempting and easy to surrender to; with those iridescent bubbles of wanderlust and escapism.

Hope and imagination will seductively connect us with great aspirations, manipulative hallucinations or dark nightmares. What we choose to imagine, can conjure into psychic sensitivities, divine healing, dreamy romance and poweful creative forces – which can also siphon in guilt, blame, addictions and self-abuse. Whatever poison we choose, can seeming become our medicine too – reducing our suffering, hardships and responsibilities.

Nobody stopped thinking about those psychedelic experiences. Once you’ve been to some of those places, you think, ”How can I get back there again but make it a little easier on myself? Jerry Garcia

As we move toward into Neptune’s sparkling waters, we’ll pick up to where we last left off back in June – to dream a better dream. With Neptune transiting Pisces, dive into something creative; poetry, painting, writing, artistic pursuits, soul-reaching music, daydreaming, dance, meditation, spirituality and the divine. Design your own sacred space; in which you may comfortably let go, to forgive, accept and heal. Release to flow. Express the true colors in your heart.

Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life…You give them a piece of you. They didn’t ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn’t your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like ‘maybe we should be just friends’ turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It’s a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love. Neil Gaiman

From out of the intensely dark depths of Scorpio, Mercury (thoughts, communications) will enter philosophical Sagittarius on Friday November 20. Sun (ego, identity) will exit Scorpio on Sunday November 22, to rise into the fiery flames of Sagittarius. In the few weeks ahead, we’ll be looking for holes in broken fences – which will allow us to stray from what remains inconvenient, cramped and confined.

We’ll be seeking ways to escape from what we’ve already experienced, for something (or someone) that leads us to fun and excitement, with no strings attached. While traveling onto a different course can often feel like a ‘calling’… wise practical steps (Jupiter in Virgo) will teach us our magic, and help to solidify (Saturn in Sagittarius) the purpose of our direction.
