The Fox and Friends Weekend curvy couch took on the post-debate discussion that consisted mainly of outrage that the CNBC moderators could actually ask real questions. First we see Ted Cruz fervently demanding that future debate hosts must be required to have a record of voting in Republican Primaries, who called this past debate a 'cage match.' Then, he suggested the Utopian GOP Debate would have Sean Klannity, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin as the hosts. Meanwhile, Mike Huckabee backhandedly praised CNBC for bringing the Republican candidates together in solidarity, and must have soiled his whiny baby diapers after that outburst.
Trying to inject a little less GOP self-congratulating over the candidates' survival of such an unfair onslaught, Clayton Morris brings up a point we've yet to hear on Fox 'News.'
'At what point does it start to edge into the point of whining, right? It's been almost a week now.'
He thinks that Christie and Trump were different critics of the Boulder debate than Huckabee and Cruz because they refused to play victims, even though Chris Christie claims that
'the media tries to divide us, tries to get us to kill each other, and when they're with Hillary Clinton, it's a lovefest.'
Tucker Carlson, after calling NBC 'disgracefully left wing,' said that a Facebook debate would be way worse. Clayton Morris asks him if they want their best friends to moderate the next debate, which he seems to think is absurd. But then, Tucker twisted that premise around by praising the way that the Republicans handled themselves with class and dignity on stage, throughout the whole ugly ordeal of being asked semi-substantive questions. He thinks that this debate was better for Republicans than any other debate because they looked "so good."
What a difference perspective makes, as I identify so much more with this rendition of the debate; much more than the fictional praise that Tucker Carlson heaps upon the whiny diaper babies of the GOP. Perhaps Shep Smith isn't the only one with sensibility at Fox 'News?'
