It's been a while since I've given this album a listen, but, man, am I glad that I went back and did. This tune in itself was pretty progressive for the time, without even taking into account the rest of the album. It also showed underground bands that they were capable of creating intricate harmonic patterns and sonic textures without having a Beatles-sized budget, which really helped the underground music scene in England during the '60s. Not a lot of bands have a debut release like this.
