The guitar work is impeccable as usual for a Hendrix tune, owing to his unique playing style and experimentation with then-new timbres on the electric guitar. There isn't so much a rhythm guitar track on this song as much as there is some chords played as accents that accompany what is essentially a solo throughout the entire song. Couple that with some nigh-endless sustain thanks to some controlled feedback and you've got yourself a real psychedelic rocker. However, its important to remember that he had a solid rhythm section backing him up too, the likes of which included drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding.
