Former Fox News contributor Jane Hall says that her ex-colleagues at the conservative network have been "waging a campaign" to link the words "radical" and "Islam" following the bombings at the Boston Marathon earlier this month.

In a Sunday discussion on CNN, host Howard Kurtz noted that after briefly coming together in the aftermath of the tragedy in Boston, the media had returned to its "ideological sniping."

Current TV host Cenk Uygur told Kurtz that Fox News had led the charge in making the airwaves more vitriolic by "talking about Muslims, which is ironic because this is the same Bill O'Reilly who kept calling Dr. Tiller, "Dr. Tiller The Baby Killer," until Scott Roeder shot him."

"So here's a fundamentalist who's Christian worrying about fundamentalists who are Muslims, and driving people to violence," Uygur said.

From this Wednesday evening's The Daily Show, Jon Stewart took the bed-wetters over at Faux "News" to task for wanting to shred our Constitution and Bill of Rights, ever since the suspect was arrested for the Boston Marathon bombings.

As Stewart noted at the end of the segment, they're ready to rip just about every amendment to shreds, there is one of course that they're willing to defend -- the 2nd.

STEWART: God help us if the Muslims ever decide to form a well-regulated militia.

Fox faux outrage has been in overdrive since the release of a comedy video by actor Jim Carrey ("Cold Dead Hand") yesterday. Carrey's spoof of the NRA and Charlton Heston had The Five spitting nails, with Greg Gutfeld leading the charge, calling Carrey "a pathetic, sad, little freak" and "a modern bigot", among other epithets.

GUTFELD: “He is the most pathetic tool on the face of the earth. And I hope his career is dead, and he ends up sleeping in a car the way his life began. This video only made me want to go out and only buy a gun. He thinks this is biting satire and going after rural America and a dead man. Let’s talk about Charlton Heston. Charlton Heston was one of the first actors to be behind the civil rights movement and march. What did this jackass Jim Carrey do? He was behind the anti-vaccine panic. There are what, 165,000 people that died from measles last year, according to the World Health Organization.”

“Jim Carrey has killed more people than all the rifles combined,” Gutfeld continued. “He is a dirty, stinking coward. He is a moral coward. He did a video attacking rural America. But he wouldn’t do video about gangs, which kills way more people with handguns — he wouldn’t do that because he is worried about his career. Such a pathetic, sad, little freak. He is a jiberring mess. He is a modern bigot, he is a modern bigot. He is a bottomless pit of insecurity and the desire for acceptance is why he is doing this, because he knows in his heart he is a fraud.”

Dana Perino chirped in that Carrey was attacking rural America, while Eric Bolling saw it as self-promotion. Token liberal Bob Beckel wondered why "a foreigner" (Jim Carrey is Canadian) was commenting at all.

And on and on it went. This is just one of several more versions Fox has aired since, with Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham also giving their brand of faux outrage.

Someone must have gotten Sean Hannity's talking points cross wired this week, because for once he wasn't reading straight from the script the Republican leadership sends over to him every morning. He didn't seem to happy when Ann Coulter of all people challenged him after he complained about the Republicans unwillingness to shut down the government and instead pass another stopgap measure to keep the government funded.

Despite Hannity's apparent belief that the entire country hates President Obama as much as he does and that opposing everything he does is somehow a good governing philosophy, most of the country would not look kindly on Republicans for this sort of brinksmanship.

Coulter Clashes With Hannity Over The GOP: ‘Passion And Principle Is Great, But You Need To Win Elections’:

Sean Hannity tonight said Congress should not have passed a continuing resolution on the budget earlier today, arguing that the GOP needs to take a stand if it is going to successfully repeal Obamacare. Ann Coulter disagreed vehemently with Hannity, saying that the Republican party needs to prioritize winning elections over “passion and principle” until they have clear majorities in both the House and Senate. Coulter argued that the government shutdown under Bill Clinton actually hurt Republicans, but Hannity shot back by saying the GOP held onto the House after it. She rolled her eyes at the idea of shutting down the government just to spite the president, saying that the party runs the risk of looking “impotent.” Hannity said that once Obamacare is fully implemented, it will be even harder for the GOP to fight for repeal. Coulter agreed that the health care law is horrible, but said the GOP needs to win in 2014 and 2016 if it wants to be in a better position to deal with it.

Hannity argued that “the single best thing” the Republican party can do to energize the base is to “take a stand against Obama,” citing the public response to Rand Paul over his drone filibuster. Coulter said that was more a consequence of the media happening to be in agreement with a Republican on something, though she admitted she personally loves drones.

Yeah, that nonexistent liberal media that's always beating up on Republicans. The only "principle" that the Republicans actually care about is not raising taxes on rich people and they don't care about deficits until there's a Democrat in the White House. Partial transcript below the fold.

The invitation of Ann Coulter to CPAC this year along with the rest of their guest list, continues to prove that they learned absolutely nothing from the last election. After making a weight joke about Gov. Chris Christie, who was shunned from the event, Coultergeist went on to explain that the reason Republicans lost the Senate is that some of their candidates, like Todd Akin, just failed to keep their mouths shut, and Democrats are supposedly the ones waging a war on women.

Ann Coulter spoke at the 2013 Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday, firing off an insult about New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's snub from the annual conference.

"Even CPAC had to cut back on its speakers this year about 300 pounds," Coulter said.

Christie wasn't he only target of Coulter's insults. She also criticized President Barack Obama and made eyebrow-raising remarks about Sandra Fluke's haircut while addressing birth control and the war on women.

"That haircut is birth control enough," Coulter said of Fluke.

Perhaps her most extreme criticism was directed at President Bill Clinton.

"The keynote speaker at the Democrat National Convention this year was forcible rapist, Bill Clinton," Coulter said.

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter is telling President Barack Obama, "Screw you!" because she says that his plan implement universal background checks for all gun purchases "means universal confiscation, universal extermination."

Following Obama's Monday speech in Minnesota calling on Congress to implement "real and lasting change" on gun control, Fox News host Sean Hannity blasted "The Anointed One" for being concerned with "accepting gay scout masters, gay marriage, gun control, watering down welfare requirements, abortion rights, war on women."

"Connecticut, Aurora, Tucson, these are crazy people," Coulter ranted in agreement. "That is the problem. Everything they are telling you about what they can do about guns is lie. The problem with universal background checks is we basically have universal backgrounds check now. Any licensed gun dealer is performing a background check."

"The only way to enforce a universal -- the last 0.1 percent of guns that are transferred by collectors and so on is to have universal gun registration," she added. "Universal background check means universal registration, universal registration means universal confiscation, universal extermination. That is how it goes in history. Do not fall for universal background checks."

In fact, the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence estimates that about 40 percent of gun purchasers do not go through background checks, but opponents of gun control dispute this claim.

"If Obama talks about gay rights, if Obama talks about guns, immigration and climate control, then the media race to every Republican, 'What do you think about what Obama said?,' and we don't focus on the economy," Hannity opined.

Coulter replied: "Not only that, just to follow up on your point right there, it's just that they are talking about it, they must demonize people that are legal gun owners and, 'Obama, look at him. He cares about the children.'"

"Screw you!" she exclaimed. "You think we don't care about the children? You're the one who won't do anything about the mentally ill."

Leave it to Coultergeist to inject a little race baiting into the gun control debate on Hannity's show. She just can't stop herself: Coulter On Gun Violence: ‘If You Compare White Populations, We Have The Same Murder Rate As Belgium’:

Ann Coulter visited Sean Hannity‘s show Monday night to discuss President Obama‘s recent cabinet picks, as well as his possible actions on gun control. Coulter said she had just come back from England where they have “not bought into” the “diversity enthusiasm” of the States. “The liberals,” Coulter claimed, are “pushing and pushing and pushing” to have more mass murderers of color.

“If you compare white populations, we have the same murder rate as Belgium,” Coulter said. “So perhaps it’s not a gun problem, it’s a demographic problem.”

"Demographic problem," huh? Perhaps it's a poverty problem, Annie. I'm not sure where she's getting her statistics, but I imagine it's her usual source: pulled out of her rear end.

Never mind that the better part of these mass murderers we've seen lately were committed by white males, or that we might have more crime where most of the people actually live in the cities as opposed to rural areas, or in poverty-stricken inner cities as opposed to wealthy suburban areas. No, Ann would rather blame the homicide rates on the color of someone's skin and pretend that white people never commit murder. It's really disgusting, the things they'll resort to on Fox in order to carry water for the gun manufacturers and their lobbyists at the NRA.

Now that all of the neocons are worked up over the possibility that former Sen. Chuck Hagel might be nominated to be our next Sec. of Defense, it seems there's a little dust up going on between documentary film maker Michael Moore and Iraq war cheerleader, Bloody Bill Kristol.

I just sent this to Bill Kristol, the editor of the Weekly Standard magazine and one of the most influential advocates of our invasion of Iraq. He posted something this morning about my post where I found an old quote from Chuck Hagel about how the Iraq War is all about the oil. I'll let you know when Bill gets back to me. Since you feel so strongly about this, I wanted to make sure you heard about four other prominent people who've said the same thing. (I should have mentioned them yesterday with the Chuck Hagel stuff, I apologize.)

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter says that if newspapers are going to publish the names of people who have gun permits then they should also publish the names of women who had abortions because "mothers might want to know what other women on their street might be willing to murder a child."

New York newspaper The Journal News earlier this week said that it would hire armed guards after receiving threats -- including an envelope of "suspicious white powder" -- that could have been retaliation for publishing the names of gun permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties. The newspaper has defended its decision by insisting that readers had a right to know who owned guns in their area in light of the recent mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

Fox News host Sean Hannity, however, told Coulter that the situation was "really dangerous" because criminal who wanted to "rape, rob and steal" could find out which residents did not own guns.

"This is a wake up call to New York state," Coulter agreed. "To make these a public record has got to be changed."

"Why aren't we getting the names of recently paroled criminals?" she wondered. "People with gun permits, by definition, do not have criminal records. Why can't we get the criminal records?"

Coulter continued: "Why can't we get a record of women who have had abortions? They get money from Planned Parenthood, they get money from Medicare, from Medicaid. Much of this is tax subsidies. I think mothers might want to know what other women on their street might be willing to murder a child."

The conservative columnist went on to call for the names of people living in rent-controlled apartments and the names of "rich liberals" who had bodyguards with guns.

"They will not release the names of people who have been convicted of crimes, they will not be doing anything about manifestly crazy people. No, no, no. We have to let Billy Bob walk the streets of Manhattan, defecate in the street. You have the ACLU defending crazy people. All of these shoot ups, these precious protections for obviously mentally disturbed individuals. There is certainly no effort to reduce single motherhood, something that is also a contributing factor in many of these cases."

"Liberals won't let us go after the criminals," she added. "No, they specifically try to harm people who by definition do not have criminal records so that their guns can be stolen by criminals!"

Two Kansas abortion clinics in 2009 asked the state Supreme Court to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Attorney General Phill Kline after Fox News host Bill O'Reilly said that he had obtained the names of women who had abortions in the state.

Advocates say that leaking patients records violates the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which requires that medical providers get permission before disclosing medical history.

Looks like Annie's got a new book to sell, so naturally Sean Hannity was happy to welcome her back onto his show for some race-baiting and liberal-bashing. From this Monday's show on Fox -- Coulter: It was ‘paradise’ after O.J. got off because ‘white guilt’ was over:

Ann Coulter on Monday suggested that “we had paradise for a dozen years” after O.J. Simpson was acquitted for murder because African Americans stopped making white people feel guilty for racial unfairness.

During an interview on Fox News, Coulter told host Sean Hannity that her new book “Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama” proved that “everyone — blacks especially — are better off when the white guilt bank is shut down as it was for more than a decade after the O.J. verdict.”

“Liberals kept trying to push the racial narrative in their newspapers and on TV, but Americans just weren’t buying it,” she explained. “After Oct. 3, 1994 when they heard the verdict and saw black law students at Howard University cheering it, that was it.”

“And for a dozen years, we had paradise. Suddenly, people weren’t walking on eggshells, you could have [then-New York City Mayor Rudy] Giuliani enforcing sane criminal laws in New York and not caring that we was constantly being called a racist by liberals and Al Sharpton, the Clinton administration. And look what it did, it transformed the city and it saved — because the policies were continued — tens of thousands of black lives.” Read on...
