As Jon Stewart noted in the opening segment of The Daily Show this Thursday evening, the week before the general election, the people of New York might have it rough right now in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, but they can be grateful for one thing -- that they're not living in "swing state hell" like the residents of Ohio are now.

As Stewart joked, between all the political ads, robocalls and politicians on the campaign trail that are inundating the voters in the state, they're going to need their electricity turned off to get some relief. Daily Show regular Wyatt Cenac "reported" from an "undisclosed bunker," since there was no where else to go to escape the ads, not even the neighboring states.

From Monday night's The Daily Show, Jon Stewart went after Mitt Romney and his fellow right-wingers like Lou Dobbs, for their priorities on deficit reduction where PBS, which is a minute portion of the budget would get slashed, but heaven forbid we can't touch those subsidies for the oil companies, because those amounts would be almost meaningless -- or so says Dobbs and his faulty math.

After pointing out the obvious and that it really can't be the deficit they're concerned about, Stewart made a mockery of the talking heads over at Fox for their attacks on Sesame Street as some kind of evil socialist indoctrination program that's harming our children by teaching them things like how to share.

Jon and his Daily Show senior correspondents, Wyatt Cenac and John Oliver had some suggestions for how to make Sesame Street more palatable to conservatives, like putting Ayn Rand on the recommended reading list for the kids.

This Wednesday evening's The Daily Show was recorded before the first presidential debate and rather than focus on what was depressing a lot of us with the sheer volume of lies Mitt Romney was allowed to get away with that night, they were still talking about the previous day's drummed up non-controversy over at Fox.

Jon Stewart and his "great American black panel" did a really good job of making a mockery of Hannity, Carlson and Drudge for their over the top, naked race-baiting and the treating five year old footage of President Obama like it's "breaking news."

As Stewart noted, President Obama was just echoing the same sentiments of the "notorious black liberation theologist George W. Bush" when it came to his remarks on the response to the hurricane in New Orleans they were freaking out about.

I'll just add one last note and that is thank you to The Daily Show and your panel for calling Hannity and Carlson out in no uncertain terms for being exactly what they are:

STEWART: Watching that Hannity piece, watching that Hannity, it's almost unbelievable to see such naked race-baiting on television. Black people talk wierd. What is that?

CENAC: It's some bulls**t.

WILLIAMS: Yeah, f**k Hannity. Your October surprise is that the President is black?

WILMORE: They are some desperate mother f**kers.

Desperate about sums it up with that clown show.

Indecision 2012 - Newt Gingrich - Black to the Future

From this Thursday night's The Daily Show, Jon Stewart slams Newton Leroy Gingrich's not so thinly veiled racism:

Some may quibble with the idea that Newt Gingrich must enter into the bowels of the inner city to explain to black people the power of the paycheck.

And here's part two.

Wyatt Cenac analyzes why it took Newt Gingrich so long to be condescending and dickish to African Americans.

Jon Stewart skewered Donald Trump this Wednesday for accusing him of racism after, as most of are all too well aware of, "The Donald" made the statement that "he has a great relationship with the blacks" a while back. He also took poor little old I'm desperately still trying to be the biggest flame thrower so people pay attention to me Ann Coulter to task for her "our blacks are so much better than their blacks" nonsense while defending Herman Cain after the charges of sexual harassment came out this week.

Samantha Bee, Wyatt Cenac and John Oliver followed suit with The Daily Show's Best F*#king Round Table to discuss the "inherent superiority of conservative minority figures."

Jon Stewart took John McCain to task for his ever evolving stance on repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell.

STEWART: It's the maverick way. Spend a year studying whether soldiers deserve full civil rights and a half an hour deciding who will be your presidential running mate.

From the Nov. 15, 2010 edition of The Daily Show.

The Daily Show; Law & Border

From The Daily Show April 26, 2010. Arizona passes an immigration law that's too extreme for Tom Tancredo.

From The Daily Show April 15, 2010 - Tea America:

Instead of reporting on facts and tax policy, Wyatt Cenac searches for the racist, homophobic members of the Tea Party movement.

Bernard Goldberg isn't going to be happy with the end of this segment. I await him running back to Bill-O to complain about Stewart again next week.
