If anyone needed any more proof that the butthurt Rep. Keith Ellison administered to Sean Hannity still smarts, here you go. After having his ass handed to him Tuesday evening by Ellison, Hannity decided for the third night in a row to attack Ellison, and for the second night in a row to hide behind black conservatives to go after Ellison for him.

This Friday, Hannity's guests were David Webb, who is one of Fox's favorites that you can read more about here, and another Astroturf "tea partier" Niger Innis, who again attacked Ellison for daring to attend the Million Man March, and played the guilt by association game we saw from his other two black conservative guests the previous evening.

If Hannity had an ounce of courage or integrity, of which he has neither, he'd allow Ellison back on his show so he could respond to these drummed-up allegations. But he's probably afraid of being made to look like an ass if he allowed Ellison to speak freely.

I really thought I'd seen the worst from Hannity when he went on his months-long attack on President Obama for his association with his former preacher Rev. Wright, but I was wrong in that assumption. With his continued attacks on Rep. Keith Ellison, simply because he dared to let Hannity know to his face what he thought of him, is right up there with that same racial hatred and disgusting flame-throwing we saw over and over from him back then.

After Sean Hannity spent the opening of his show talking to Tucker Carlson about the right's latest drummed up non-controversy, Hannity brought on Fox regular Juan Williams and "tea partier" and one of Fox's favorite conservative African American "designated black attackers" David Webb, to discuss the old recordings of President Obama they were pretending is breaking news.

And lo and behold Hannity's race baiting was finally even too much for Williams, who called Hannity out for throwing dirt at President Obama to see what will stick and constantly pushing one ridiculous "conspiracy theory" after another to score cheap political points.

Of course Williams barely got to make his points, because if he wasn't being interrupted by Webb talking over him, he was being interrupted by Hannity screaming over him. If Hannity gets much more worked up while attacking President Obama, we're going to see both the seat of his pants and his hair literally light on fire on the set.

I don't know if Hannity and Drudge and Carlson honestly thought this latest stunt was going to help Mitt Romney, or if they just don't care because of their blind hatred of President Obama, but I think this is going to backfire on them, big time. When you can't even get your generally compliant Fox faux-liberal to go along with you and they inadvertently let the audience know how desperate you look , you've got problems.

I think we will never have an honest discussion about race or about whether gestures -- verbal, images and physical -- imply white superiority over people of color. I just don't think it's possible because no matter how hard one might try to keep the discussion neutral, it just degenerates into a defensive, angry pile on the floor.

Megyn Kelly was just breathless and wider-eyed than ever on Monday over the mere suggestion that anyone could possibly think Arizona governor Jan Brewer's finger in the face of the President and disrespect shown to the office, much less the man, could possibly be construed by anyone as racist.

Enter David Webb, creator of Tea Party 365 and BigGovernment.com contributor, who takes a dim view of anyone calling Brewer's contrived gesturing racist. Jehmu Greene rounds out the panel for Megyn, where they hash out the issues.

Greene has a strong point when she points out that whether or not it was overt racism (she doesn't believe Brewer is racist), it had racial undertones that played out for people viewing that image. Combined with Brewer's claim that the conversation left her feeling 'intimidated', there's no question that the dog whistles were sounding loud.

David Webb is Andrew Breitbart in the body of an African-American man. He loves meanness, just like Breitbart does. It's not enough to dislike someone if you're Webb. Dislike is too kind. It must be hateful and mean, spewed with sneer and squinty eyes. I saw him give Sally Kohn a hard time last week, and today he actually managed to get the usually unflappable Jehmu Green close to livid with his repeated references to the "black mafia" and denial that there could possibly be racist overtones to the Brewer incident.

Webb leads off his argument with this question: "Did Jan Brewer's finger have the N-word written on it? That would have made it racist." He follows that up with this: "Or is this a case where the President and his acolytes need to call out the Black Mafia, which is what they are, to turn it into racism?"

I understand the need on these 24/7 networks to be outrageous in order to garner attention, but these comments were stomach-turning to me, not only for their obtuseness, but for the sheer joy he gets in trying to criminalize President Obama and other respected members of the black community like Greene. The fact that he, too, is black doesn't give him free license to spew racism on the airwaves, even if he thinks it does.

This exchange is particularly difficult, starting at about 3 minutes in.

The president of the NAACP condemned the New Black Panther Party Sunday but said there was really no comparison with the Tea Party.

On Tuesday, the NAACP voted to approve a resolution calling for the Tea Party to repudiate racist elements within their movement.

Since then, the nations's oldest civil rights group has been criticized for ignoring the racism exhibited by a small group called the New Black Panther Party. Conservative outlets like Fox News have pointed to a video where a member of the New Black Panther Party called for African-Americans to "kill cracker babies."

David Webb, co-founder of Tea Party 365, confronted NAACP president Ben Jealous about the New Black Panther Party Sunday on CBS' Face the Nation.

"I have a serious objection with is his selective condemnation of racism when he will not condemn the New Black Panther Party for saying that they want to kill crackers and kill cracker babies, whereas he would condemn the KKK or any element that shows up in and claims that they are a part of the Tea Party," said Webb.

"The reality here is that the New Black Panther Party is like 12 people, 13 people," responded Jealous. "They don't say these things at the NAACP. If they did, we would take them on."

"I said three times on a show with you last week so hear me this time. You know, bigots come in all colors. We absolutely denounce the New Black Panther Party. But they aren't in our group. These folks are in your groups," said Jealous.
