Well, no one could have seen this coming, right? Or really, we all saw it coming. Rudy Giuliani has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after a judge ruled he must pay Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss immediately.

In a statement, spokesman Ted Goodman said, "“The filing should be a surprise to no one. No person could have reasonably believed that Mayor Rudy Giuliani would be able to pay such a high punitive amount.”

Actually, Ted, none of us thought he would deign to pay one cent to the two Black women he so viciously defamed.

According to MSNBC, Giuliani filed documents in connection with the criminal case indicating that his fortunes dwindled after he started working with Donald Trump. Who could have guessed?

He also has to know that filing for bankruptcy doesn't get rid of the judgment, which cannot be discharged in bankruptcy. For the rest of his life, however long that is, this judgment will follow him. And it looks as if it will follow him straight to jail, now that it's established that his lies about election fraud were false and defamatory.

What a nice holiday gift. Rudy bankrupt and facing jail while Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman settle in and wait for the payments to start.
