The lawsuit, according to Reuters, said that Twitter laid off roughly 3,700 employees, of which 57% were female, compared to 47% men.

The gender disparity was more stark for engineering roles, where 63% of women lost their jobs compared to 48% of men, according to the new lawsuit.

The lawsuit filed by two women who were laid off by Twitter last month accuses the company of violating federal and California laws banning workplace sex discrimination.

This is far from the only lawsuit to target Elon Musk’s sinking ship of right-wing extremism, otherwise known as Twitter. In November, Musk was hit with a lawsuit alleging that Musk violated California and federal laws requiring at least 60 days of notice for mass layoffs. Another lawsuit accuses the company of discriminating against workers with disabilities. There’s also a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board by an engineer who claims he was fired in retaliation for developing and sharing a tool with colleagues allowing them to save documents in advance of anticipated layoffs.
