Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) asserted on Tuesday that President Barack Obama "has rewritten the Constitution for himself" in an effort to transform the country.

In an interview with Fox News, the Minnesota Republican told host Martha MacCallum that the president's actions to delay certain parts of the Affordable Care Act were "clearly unconstitutional."

"You're not a king, you're not a dictator, you can't do whatever you want," she explained. "Our Constitution limits the president's power, even though President Obama doesn't act that way."

That's why she said House Republicans were considering a lawsuit to remind the president "he, too, must obey the law."

"He has rewritten the Constitution for himself as a part of his effort to fundamentally transform the United States of America," Bachmann declared. "But we are a constitutional republic and members like myself are going to fight to keep that, for the people, a constitutional republic."
