By now you may have heard that the Dallas Morning News has made their endorsement for President of the United States:
The reaction from right-wing Twitter was swift, and followed a common trajectory.
And equally reliable was Trump national spokesperson Katrina Pierson, who insists that the Dallas newspaper, which has not endorsed a Democratic presidential candidate since FDR in 1944, is a liberal paper.
Maria Bartiromo asked Pierson what the campaign will do to counter this historic endorsement.
“Well, nothing. We just acknowledge that The Dallas Morning News is a liberal paper.”
“The reason why they have supported Republicans is because that’s the establishment in the state of Texas, and this is just an effort to continue to try to turn Texas blue. And it’s just not going to work.”
Because the Republican establishment in the state of Texas wants to turn Texas blue?
