Former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz was booed off the stage this morning at the Florida Delegation Breakfast in the wake of the Wikileaks email dump over the weekend.

While I haven't had a lot of time to read through the entire email dump, it's clear some things were said that shouldn't have been in email for all to read, and clearer still that divisive forces are using those emails to disrupt this week's convention.

Politico reports that the Sanders campaign did not join the efforts to force Wasserman Schultz out, but that it was organized and executed outside of any official channels.

The move had to happen on Sunday, said a senior Democrat: Sanders-supporting delegates — without the buy-in of his campaign — had been organizing an effort over the preceding day to have state delegations vote to demand her resignation at the Monday morning caucus breakfasts. Given the number of delegations in which Sanders supporters are the majority, the movement would likely have spread, overtaking any other news on the convention’s opening day.

While I believe it is a good thing to replace Wasserman Schultz, I am not a huge fan of a display like this, which is based upon the fruits of what appears to be Russian intelligence services interfering in United States politics.

We have a fascist to crush, folks. Let's do it.
