WTOP:

Democrats in D.C. will head to the polls on Tuesday to choose their party’s nominee for president and for several District Council seats.

Republicans and the D.C. Statehood Green party will also hold a primary but have no contested races. D.C. Republicans will also choose ward chairs and national committee candidates.

Interestingly, when DC Republicans voted in March they gave zero delegates to Donald Trump. Rubio has 10 and Kasich has 9, and that's it.

The Nevada Democratic Party is expected to nominate Catherine Cortez Masto for the Senate today, to replace Harry Reid who is retiring. Cortez Masto is a former Nevada attorney general who is trying to become the country's first Latina senator. If nominated, she will face Joe Heck (R) in November.

Also in Nevada we hope to be watching Michele Fiore go down in flames for the Republican House nomination for NV-03.

Also there's a Trump supporter billionaire running for Governor of North Dakota and he might win the Republican primary today.

We'll publish results here as we have them.

Update 1: 5:30 PM

CNN has projected Hillary Clinton the winner of the Washington, D.C. primary after early voting counts show her with an 80-20 lead.

In Virginia, Rep. Randy Forbes has been defeated in his primary, which comes as a bit of a shocker. But then, it is Virginia.

Two years after Dave Brat shocked House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a 2014 GOP primary, another veteran of the Virginia congressional delegation went down to an upstart rival.

With nearly 89 percent of precincts reporting, Taylor had 52.88 percent of the vote to 40.18 percent for Forbes and 6.93 percent for Pat Cardwell, a Virginia Beach lawyer.

Forbes switched to run in the 2nd District, based in Virginia Beach after a three judge panel redrew his district as part of its effort to fix constitutional flaws with the 3rd District, represented by Rep. Robert C. "Bobby" Scott, D-3rd.

Let's hope Michele Fiore goes home with empty hands....more updates to come.

Update 2:

Fiore loses, after only getting about 18% of the vote. Bye Michele!

Sharron Angle also lost to Joe Heck, and sadly, Bernie Sanders-endorsed candidate Lucy Flores lost her primary as well.

Catherine Cortez Masto won her primary easily.
