This Throwback Thursday, from the 2012 Republican National Convention, is worth the click, today of all days.

Coverage from MSNBC following Chris Christie's Keynote Address, which Rachel Maddow calls "an act of political selfishness" in that he hardly mentions Mitt Romney at all.

Keep watching. Chris Matthews:

"I still go back to something that may be painful for Republicans. But I saw a candidate for President tonight, wheeled out as if he were a statue in the Hall of Presidents, in nearby Orlando [Disney World]."

"I don't even think his wife warmed him up tonight, because it's too hard to do."

Howard Fineman points out how angry the Texas delegation (Ron Paul delegates) is about the whole power grab for Romney votes in the rules committee . Prescient? Ya think?

It's a beautiful moment in television that proves Romney's influence in the GOP was remarkably low even as his party finally gave up and nominated him for President of the United States.
