If we truly lived in a "post-racial" world, George Zimmerman would be in jail. In a just world, once found not guilty, he would live out his days in infamy and ignominy.

By his own admission, George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin. In a court of law he was found Not Guilty of outright murder.

That's the racist world we live in. It's still quite acceptable for white people to fear black people and kill them in cold blood because of their fear of a different skin color. Whether the fear is reasonable or not really doesn't matter. Whether the black person is doing anything to invoke that fear doesn't matter.

If you are black you can be walking as Trayvon Martin was. You could be, asleep, in your own home or on your own property. Or maybe even in need of help. Or maybe they suspected you of stealing something. Anything black people do may enough to engage white fear enough to kill. If you are black you can be murdered for doing any of these things and your killer, particularly law enforcement, will be celebrated and deemed justified.

George Zimmerman is a hero to many. This is evidenced by the fact that many people felt his fear was understandable and that his story resonated with many of them, to the point where individual donations combined to a total of over $314,000 for his legal defense fund.

His post-trial paintings have garnered cash on Ebay and admiration from his followers, despite Zimmerman's history of violence and racism. Even his most recent displays of violence and gun-play are matters to be overlooked by Zimmerman's supporters.

George Zimmerman is being given yet another shot to revel in the "celebrity" of his infamy.

George Zimmerman is not only an artist, apparently he's an amateur boxer as well. Zimmerman agreed to enter a celebrity boxing match, he confirmed on his Twitter account

.
If we truly lived in a "post-racial" world, George Zimmerman would be in jail. In a just world, once found not guilty by a patently racist and biased system, he would live out his days in infamy and ignominy.

George Zimmerman has yet to express an inkling of regret for killing Trayvon Martin. For Zimmerman and his supporters, killing black people out of fear is a necessary evil.

The celebration of George Zimmerman and elevating him to celebrity status on any platform is a white supremacist display to equal any neo-nazi salute or kkk rally.

It serves no other purpose than to let black people know that they can be killed, they will be killed, and their killers will not only be exonerated but honored.
