New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, today on Keith Olbermann's Countdown spared no punches in his scathing criticism of the debt deal and the misguided thinking behind it. Despite the silly and stupid comment by Newt Gingrich on the O'Reilly show the other night ("This is a Paul Krugman presidency"), it seems unlikely Krugman will be getting any White House invitations in the near future.

Ouch.

That's going to leave a mark.

Why this man isn't the Secretary of the Treasury is beyond me.

Obama ignores Krugman. This is the presidency of advisors from Wall Street - Paul O'Neill and Timothy Geithner.

Gingrich slimes Krugman, because Krugman is right. It's a way to get 40-50% of the US to discount what Krugman says.

Krugman is right! Unfortunately we progressives fell for the Trojan Horse which is Obama. As to Gingrich; how can people even remotely consider this pedantic cracker "intellectual"? The man is nothing more than a glib purveyor of meanigless inanities geared to the ignorant throngs wallowing in the confederate backwaters!
