The Muppets Hit Back at Fox News
I'm not sure "hit back" is the right phrase. More like gave a straightforward assessment of the horse's patoots employed by Fox News. Rupert Murdoch's influence is no less pernicious in Great Britain so the assembled reporters all had a hearty laugh.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy hit back at Fox News during a UK press conference following the London Premiere of their new film. Fox had publically criticized the film for supposedly pushing a 'dangerous liberal agenda' at kids.
Kermit mocks their blatant and pointless fear mongering before Miss Piggy offers her own opinion on Fox News.
Here is part of what was said when business anchor Eric Bolling asked "Are 'The Muppets' brainwashing our kids?"

"What's actually going on here?" Bolling asked commentator Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center. "Is liberal Hollywood using class warfare to brainwash our kids?"
"Yes, absolutely, and they've been doing it for decades," replied Gainor. "Hollywood, the Left, the media, they hate the oil industry. They hate corporate America."
Gainor later added, "It's amazing how far the left will go just to stoop, to manipulate your kids, to convince them, to give [them] an anti-corporate message."
Bolling asked "Are there any Occupy Wallstreet Muppets?"

As most of my republican friends seem impervious to logic, I have begun blaming anything and everything on Obama, no matter how trivial. The silliness of this seems to strike home with them far more than my explaining how silly are the fact-defying conservative viewpoints they've adopted.

I was so stunned, I asked her if she actually believed the president set our fuel prices. At least she had to stop and think before she could answer truthfully that no, she didn't suppose so, but he must have something to do with it!

He obviously didn't allow them to DRILL.
But of course he did -- he just asked for Congress to open up 75% of leased lands for drilling. They can't magically put more holes in the ground and there is no INCENTIVE for anyone but the smaller independent oil companies to try and get more oil.
Every time a refining plant burns down, their profit margin increases -- and we are supposed to believe that Green Peace is the reason no new plants have been built in 25 years? The Libertarians like to blame environmentalism and NIMBY laws (Not in My Back Yard; because apparently ever Libertarian wants a Clean Coal plant by their golf course), for the lack of new refining.
The US is exporting record amounts of gasoline right now -- the price is entirely due to Future's contract manipulation. That $120 a barrel price is sometimes AFTER the Oil Companies already bought the barrel. People act like a dozen players cannot manipulate the price of oil when half the time they own the outfit that pulls it out of the ground. So I suddenly have to pay myself MORE for each barrel coming off of a tanker -- oh shucks!
Class warfare might as well be "the sun is getting hotter" -- it's the explanation meme of the week. Just pull one from a hat, and then set up the telephone tree so that all the pundits echo the same thing.
They have ten replies to every crisis and they just pull it out of a hat which is THE EXPLANATION this week -- see is you've seen these Mad Libs before (no relation to Liberals);
[The Economy/American Power/Family Values/USA] took a Nose Dive because [George Soros/Michael Moore/Al Gore/Liberal Extremist/Poor/Illegal Immigrant] has [Raised Taxes/Socialized/Desecrated/Regulated] the X Y or Z [Corporation/Military/Misunderstood Rich].
The only time creativity comes into play is finding a good excuse for X Y or Z corporation that has; [poisoned/stolen/ruined] the [environment/people/economy]. I'm mean, it takes a LOOONG convoluted theory to excuse some things and then tack on "personal responsibility." Apparently, if you've got a hierarchy of people who have a full time job to cross "i"s and dot "t"s it's perfectly fine to have no responsibility at all.
If miss Piggy ever loses her job on PBS she could go to work at Fox news as a news chick. She already has the hair and the looks.

Hell yes. Kids are going to be stuck living with the damages foisted on them by behemoth corporations, they ought to learn that behind all of it are people that will poison the air and water for short-lived monetary gain.
