LaGreca will be on ABC's This Week with Christiane Amanpour on Sunday morning.

Interview with Jesse LaGreca, freelance writer for the Daily Kos under the name MinistryOfTruth, at the Oct. 5th Solidarity March with Occupy Wall Street. Jesse's interview with a Fox News Reporter has been exploding on the internet...but for some reason Fox never aired it. Hmmmmmm.

"What do we have in common? .. We're all getting screwed by the same people."

When will government of the people, by the politicians, for the corporations perish from this Earth?

Not soon enough!

There must be a lot of them getting screwed from behind because they don't seem to know who is screwing them.
Jesse, so that you can be sure of the reasons behind your dissention, here is a video for you to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTx6t3FUSkM

Thanks for that.

Good on ya, Jesse.

Before a republican president will be "elected" and puts everyone who dissents against corporate fascism into prison camps.

Dem fear mongering is sooooo last decade.

You guys need to amp up the claims, talk about the GOP eating babies or some cool. Need bigger shock value! And better CGI, like in the movies. Maybe you should get Michael Bay to consult for you guys?

They can't eat babies yet, there aren't enough cheap babies yet. They'll eat babies after a few years of anti-abortion measures will have ensured a steady supply, not before.

Aren't they doing that now?

What do you know? Amanpour (or whomever does the booking on her show) made an unconventionally wise decision. Kudos.

We must be careful lest we upset the rich, white 1% who are so under-represented in politics, business, news, and society. As they buy Washington influence to speed the transfer US Treasury funds to GOP PACs --the voices of decent are muffled by the the corporate news who do the bidding for the 1%. This is the new normal.

OWS

The Occupation Status Board in Liberty Plaza states:

Making “Demands” puts your happiness under someone elses control, and navigate by a point on the horizon. This is not a place to get to–but it will always steer your actions.

I asked one of the occupiers: “What is the navigation point by which you are guiding your actions?”

He said: “A society that values each human being.”

I then challenged the notion that they were speaking for or representing the 99%. I indicated that a significant portion of that 99% were vehemently opposed to socialist ideology and some of the signs held by the occupiers implied an adherence to socialist precepts.

After the briefest of nods he said: “We have to get past labels that make people angry, like socialism and capitalism. Nothing is that black and white.”

I could appreciate that. I have always been uncomfortable with other people categorizing my thoughts and actions. It’s a power move. If it can be labeled, it can be put in its proper place, like a pretty moth pinned for display…in a museum. Resistance to systematic branding can be thought of as struggling for life. Yet the inertia of the social order, manifest in the desire of the mainstream media to catalogue the story, is like gravity.

I asked him about the relationship between the more youthful occupiers and the veterans who most certainly were involved with struggles dating back to the ’60s.

He said: “The Underlying emotions are the same as the ’60s. There is a general recognition by people, that the system isn’t working for them and a hope that we can make a new system that does.”

The occupiers are navigating towards a society that values each human being in a vessel constructed of their hope.

Join the occupation! Bring the strength of your life. The movement, in its infancy, needs nothing more than support. The beginning of life is delicate and vulnerable to contagion. Simply come and nurture the kernel of optimism, and gently breathe into the embers of hope. Let it Grow!

. . . once in a while is only a minor set-back for the corporatists who's mission it is to rule America. Once the Tea Party folk figure out we're all getting screwed by the same people-- they will certainly join the OWS movement--when that happens the corporatists will need to create a new straw man to kill. You can only turn people against each other for a short time before they figure out who the real enemy of progress is--and it ain't poor people.

For the next straw man/shiny object I nominate the reappearance of Scary Muslim Terr'rists™.

Let's keep an eye on "Dick" Cheney, shall we?

funny how it was the cooperation of human beings that progressed our survival to today.
If the cave man had come out of the gate with 'capitalism'...we would not have made it.

Nothing is black and white for sure...as the free market...has never really been free.

...is something to get upset about when our "enemies" (e.g. Iran, Syria, Libya, even China) won't let their citizens have it--useful, even, in ginning up conflict.

But when our citizens want to exercise it, there are plenty of voices advocating herding them like cattle into "free speech zones" encircled by chain-link fence--you know, to protect the "good, decent, working taxpayers" from their foment.

I could never find the language in the constitution that said free speech is only allowed in isolated confined spaces under control of the police.

And it sure isn't allowed in jail either. ;)

The one-percenters are colonialists in their own country. All throughout history, certain unscrupulous businessmen have traveled to places like China, India, and Africa with their money, political power and promises and basically treated people like second-class citizens in their own land. That's what they are doing today, right here in our own backyard. And in almost every situation throughout history, these people end up getting kicked OUT via some sort of revolution because they refuse to budge in even the smallest way in their way of thinking.

About time someone who could string two coherent sentences together would finally have a chance to speak. I believe that this is just the start, and that it will be up to 'we the people' to make change happen.

I like this guy!

No wonder they didn't air the clip...FOX can't tolerate even the smallest sliver of truth being aired over their propaganda operation.

He is also know under the handle Ministry of Truth, runs his own blog, and was/is a contributor to Daily Kos. The guy really gets around. We need more people like him speaking up.

I was wondering where all the teabaggers are? With their organic, up-from-the-bottom, grassroots appeal, why are they at least counter-demonstrating? I mean, when they do spontaneously gather, they gather in their millions and millions. Don't ya think they could manage to get hundreds of thousands somewhere like right now?

What? You don't say? No buses, huh? OK, never mind.

Sums up the whole enchilada in one phrase. The 2 party division could be ended with this slogan. This is what the banksters are scared shit-less about.
