Rep. Anthony Weiner Rips into Republicans for Blocking the 9-11 First Responders Bill

I don't think I ever want to cross Anthony Weiner after watching this. He lets the Republicans have it on the House Floor and rightfully so. I feel the same way about the Republicans doing this.
House GOP leaders: 9/11 first responders aid bill 'a massive new entitlement program':
House Republican leadership is advising its members to vote against a bipartisan bill that would, among other things, bolster medical support to Sept. 11 victims.
The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2009, sponsored by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.), would provide medical monitoring to those exposed to toxins at ground zero, bolster treatment at specialized centers for those afflicted by toxins on Sept. 11 and reopen a compensation fund to provide for the economic loss of victims.
And it’s all paid for by closing a tax loophole on foreign companies with U.S. subsidiaries, Democrats said.
But according to Republicans, it’s a job-killing growth of government that would create a new entitlement and waste taxpayer dollars.
The bill, if passed, would reopen the Victims Compensation Fund until 2031 — instead of litigation, victims could try to get money from the fund. Republicans are calling the extension “well beyond what is needed to take care of latent claims,” according to a policy statement from the GOP.
If republicans don't want to do the work they were elected to do, then by God, get the hell out of the way and let the Democrats govern. Thank God for Congressman Weiner's passion and courage to stand on the floor of Congress and tell it like it is. The republicans also need to return their salaries. You have to work to earn a salary and they have certainly proved they don't work.
Pure, unadulterated scum!
This should be the campaign ad for every Democrat seeking re-election. More importantly, it should be the attitude of every Democrat in office.
Hopefully humanity will one day learn to be humane.

The behavior, hypocricy and, mean-spiritedness of the cancervatives AKA republicans is not at all surprising. What is, and most disturbing, is that there are many so-called "great Americans" (like Sean) that are so ignorant, bigoted, greedy, and just plain stupid who cannot see thru these self-serving,elitist, corporate toadies and blindly re-elect these creatures to office under the delusion thatthey give a damn for their individual or collective welfare! It would be just retribution for those intolerant and oh so self-righteous citizens of this nation if they should fall on hard times only to be told by their favorite elected public servants that there is no help available and that we all must bear our own "personal responsibility"!
keep saying they care so much about the American people...yet voted against this bill. The truth came out and it hurt so good. If the Rethugs want to sit around, stall progress and DO NOTHING, then they should quit their damn positions and get the fuck out of the way. The adults are in charge now.
