Glenn Beck Admits to Making Crap Up
Mr. Beck owned up to embellishing the truth just a wee little bit. You know, for flavor.
I sense an opening. Like the witch-burning scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, what comes next is Glenn Beck admitting that he smeared a junior-high school step dance troupe because they looked militant.
Perhaps we should all encourage this new attitude from Beck. Maybe the media should conspire to ask him if he maybe, possibly embellished the truth a little bit there. And maybe they should follow up on that whole "white culture" remark while they're at it.

Since everything coming out of a conservative republicans' mouth is lies, it only stands to reason that they were "made up."

His flip attitude on the video is esp. amusing considering his impassioned "Tell the Truth" rant during his Restore Honor rally:
"Tell the truth. Tell the truth. And it only matters when you tell the truth and you know it’s going hurt you. You know that it’s not going to help your side. Tell the truth. America is crying out for the truth! Tell the truth in your own life and then expect it from others."
But, hey, people adore him and are lining up behind him. Fools.

...Beck reacts to having been caught in a lie. He makes it into a joke and ridicules the whole event and the person who called him out.
And his explanation is utter nonsense. He pretends that he would have had to have substituted a long laborious account of the document viewing if he hadn't said he "held" it. But all he would have had to say was that he "saw" it.
I notice that he didn't even bother to explain away his lie about the Washington Monument.
Difficult to describe? Please. "And their I saw (beheld, viewed, looked upon, etc) with my own eyes one of the most important documents in history." Done.

And John Kerry lied/embelleshed? Hey, it just made the story easier to tell.

He left me scratching my head when he described obama as a social communist. Sounds like something "ol drecky" might say.

Beck also screwed up the Washington Monument story, and he used a quotation from Jefferson that was modified to suit Beck's (not Jefferson's) understanding of God's embrace of reason (as opposed to "honest questioning"). The lies in that speech, especially in THAT speech, in THAT location on THAT national stage reveals Beck's hypocrisy in such a bright light that all but his ardent supporters can see it.
