I definitely appreciate the symbol used at the end-- it's the perfect symbol for those condemned to die in war. Although the warrior culture demands that there be certainty in death, that sacrifice mean something, that soldiers be revered-- war creates nothing and has always served the interests of the powerful. War is a racket.
