Coburn: Because we know a larger percentage of the emotional attraction has to do with those things associated with women. So we pounded our chest and passed the Mikulski bill for preventative care for women and we ignored the preventative requirements of everybody else in this country.
Fail. They passed the Mikulski amendment because the media and the GOP decided to make an issue out of the findings from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force that said women didn't need to get screened for breast cancer in their forties, not because anyone's "more emotional" about issues relating to women.
this country and in the world, and this dick reduces us and our health concerns to something getting in the way of caring for "everyone else" (i.e. red-blooded Repug men). And on top of that the suggestion that people care about women because of sentiment, not because we're human beings too.

That's shades of my father and father-in-law. I remember both of them telling their wives to vote republican but my mother and mother-in-law both told me they voted Democratic because they knew repugs don't care about women. This was over 30 years ago and nothing changed their minds over the years.

My physician wife tells me that it is now exceptionally rare for men to become Ob/Gyn's because they will find it hard to get patients. If you imagine that for years Med schools were turning out bozos like this it is easy to understand how male Ob/Gyns got that reputation.

When my wife was in medical school, she had a very strange classmate who was a fundie through and through. When he was unable to insert an IV under supervision, in front of the patient, fellow students, and the clinical faculty, he fell to his knees and prayed aloud for divine help. My wife was incredulous. I can't imagine having been that patient.
