Breath deep folks. The Atlantic has been unusually quiet this year.
The Pacific is on storm Olaf. That's not unusual.
The western Pacific has had 2 recent "super typhoons" in the Philippines. But they haven't really been that big. Winds gusting to 125. But they did carry massive amounts of rain. Hurricane Jimena in the eastern Pacific a short while ago had winds up to 155. He missed Cabo, went further north, came onshore with winds over 135 around Constitution, leveled entire communities there. Crossed over the Baja peninsula and dropped into Loreto, Mulege and Santa Rosalia, Causing massive damage. This was just a month or so ago.

Meanwhile, Calif still burns. Calif is still in a drought.
Georgia had it's drought broken with more rain in 1 day than anything in it's past causing massive flooding.

Recently 2 earthquakes rocked the south pacific and Indonesia.
One with another tidal wave leveling entire villages.

All the while China and Russia and many other countries keep on chugging along with no environmental standards.

What? Me Worry? The west coast of the US is rumored to going into a El Nino weather cycle. And with all the storm activity which started unusually early this year by the equator, I'd have to think that the west coast will get pounded this year. The storm cycle started in April, 2 months early. That's not to unusual. But it does make me think the central pacific's water temp has risen, which says El Nino is coming.
So, get ready folks. It's gonna be a long winter.
