And finally New Rule, now that you've lost Republicans have to agree not to waste everyone's time spending the next four years screaming for investigations of Barack Obama over made up bulls#*t. Let's not kid ourselves. The hard core Republican base is like a stalker. Rejection just makes them crazier. You think Matt Drudge was a vindictive p#%ck before. His headline Wednesday morning was Senior Citizen and Woman Beaten By Black Man. [...] And wait till you see Ann Coulter's new book How to Field Dress a Liberal.
You know there's loyal opposition and then there's just opposition. Let's not do the 90's again except for the part where we have peace and prosperity. You know there was an entire industry back then dedicated to making Bill Clinton's life miserable over expensive hair cuts and old land deals and the Lincoln Bedroom and getting blown. But this ain't the 90's.
We've got two wars, a melting planet and the only thing keeping the economy from total collapse is Sarah Palin's shopping sprees. But you know what phrase I don't want to hear used frivolously for the next four years whenever Barack Obama forgets to put the kids in the car seat? Disrespect for the rule of law. Dick Cheney ordered prisoners tortured by name. That ship has sailed.
I don't want to hear Sean Hannity say that "Barack Obama announced that his daughters will be getting a puppy. A puppy from where? Probably a chihuahua that came in from Mexico illegally. And how do we know this isn't a dog that pals around with terriers?
You know when Obama starts a preemptive war and then f%#ks it up and makes torture our official policy and outs a CIA agent and purges US Attorneys and tries to put his cleaning lady on the Supreme Court and doesn't act on global warming and appoints at the head of FEMA an ex-d*#do salesman who was his college roommate, you know, that kind of stuff, believe me I'll be with you.
But until then I don't want to see Republicans freaking out if Obama isn't singing the National Anthem loud enough or they find out he gets his suits made in France. If he puts a moon roof in the Presidential limo, he's not making himself Fuehrer. He's just trying to get the smell of stupidity out of the seats. And mostly I don't want to hear about ACORN. Your guy lost by eight million votes. Just because you don't know any black people doesn't mean they don't exist.
So that's it. No Special Prosecutors. No trumped up investigations. If Republicans who really want to look into something for the next four years, my suggestion, try a mirror.

When he gave one of his ignorant rants he ended by telling the listeners he was imparting this information to you with superior intelligence on loan from GOD!

When I see homeless vets I give them money - I take food to the homeless shelter. I have a brother - deeply depressed, indigent and homeless living in my house and it's no picnic and also very expensive. We need to help each other in times like this. We could lose our own home in the next few months. Perhaps I misunderstood your use of the word peasants - I'd like to think so - but we need to help where we can - respectfully.

After howling about ideological litmus tests for judicial nominations for the last eight years, Republicans are promising their own and Obama and the new Congress haven't even assumed power yet.
No more gentlemen's filibusters! Come on, Harry Reid, if the fuckers want to play this way, force them to talk 'til they drop. Make them go on record, and talk for hours and hours and hours about how they hate freedom and unenumerated rights. When they fall over, vote.

Arrest Karl Rove for contempt of Congress. Convict him and jail him.

I voted for Barack Obama. I was seriously considering Brian Moore (Socialist), but I always said if it looked close I'd go for the Democrat, whoever it was.
I was for Edwards, because I liked his old school populism, and being Southern seems to help in elections (Carter and Clinton were both southerners, but it didn't seem to help Gore.) Then I was for Hillary, because her health plan was to cover everyone, whilst Obama's was children only.
Now with the Viagra needing economy that may be sacrificed.

I've never liked the idea the Dems are the "mommy" or female party and right wingers get to be the masculine or "daddy party". Whoever decided that must have been a conservative, pretty clever but total bullshit. I hope this stereotype can be broken with a strong Democrat as president who will offer masculine but thoughtful leadership founded on democratic principles that predate any "conservative" rethug ideas.
It was about the klan. Very interesting. One part in particular was how the klan got into politics using the republican party, the party more in line with their beliefs, in the 1920s. They basically took over the state of Indiana even managing to take the governor's office. They made their republican candidates sign loyalty oaths to the klan, sound familiar? They were eventually brought down because their governor basically kidnapped and raped a woman who then later died because of the ordeal. Before she died though, she wrote and signed an affidavit of what happened to her. And to think the republicans are still trying to say MLK was a republican and the republicans are the ones to thank for civil rights for blacks.
Did they mention that the Klan started as a college party prank? Some southern fraternity got drunk, dressed up as ghosts to scare the newly freed blacks. From all accounts it worked, although masked strangers on your property would spook anyone.

Where he came from the klan practically ran the town, so he joined out of practicality for his career. I used to work in broadcasting... back when there really WAS a federal Fairness doctrine. The strongest effect that I can remember was that if you interviewed one candidate at length on your local news program... you better interview the others too. Also, if you AGVE free airtime to one party or candidate... you better give equal airtime to the other(s.)
