Part of the panel discussion on Larry King Live March 3, 2009. I was really hoping I'd seen the last of former Koch Energy lobbyist and McCain campaign spokesperson Nancy Pfotenhauer when he lost the election, but sadly not. The discussion starts out with the topic du jour of whether it is effective or not for the Democrats to be tagging Rush Limbaugh as the leader of the Republican party and Arianna Huffington says the important thing to remember is how we got to where we are rather than focusing on Rush Limbaugh.

Pfotenhauer and Larson have their GOP talking points down as usual but this particular statement hit me as one our side needs to be challenging whenever they say it and that didn't happen here.

Pfotenhauer: Clearly we can debate and I would love to how we got to where we are and actually let me answer one of Arianna's earlier points and say that the thing that George Bush did wrong and that Republicans as well as Democrats did wrong is they spent the taxpayers' money carelessly. They were, they were, it was a taxpayer funded party for eight years.

Now my problem is that President Obama is George Bush on steroids when it comes to spending. He has met him and raised him and he's added like I said tax increases into the mix. If he were advocating economic policies that were good for this country I would support him. I supported him when he's talked about things like entitlement reform. But when he advocates things that are bad for Americans it's people's duty to challenge him. That's patriotic.

When any of these talking heads says something like this they need to immediately be called out and asked what Social Security would look like right now if the GOP had had their way and privatized it. How's that stock market looking to you right now Nancy? And they need to be told that NO, the GOP does not want to support anything that the Democrats are trying to do right now whether they think it is good for the country or not. They want Democrats to adopt Republican ideas or they're going to obstruct. And the only new ideas they have are the same ones they've had for thirty years or more.

Stephanie Miller reminds Pfotenhauer just who the tax cuts under Obama's plan will be going to.

Miller: Nancy, Barack Obama's doing the exact same thing he said during the campaign. 95% of Americans are getting a tax cut under this plan. It is the top 1% that's finally paying their fair share. You Larry.

Pfotenhauer: How can they pay more than the 70% they already pay?

It sure sounds like she's trying to leave the impression that there is someone out there in a 70% tax bracket while leaving herself some wiggle room if she's challenged on it later.

Where's she been keeping herself????

The shot of Pfotenhauer should be entitled: "Whistle While you Screech". Or maybe, "Guess What Else I Can Do With This Mouth?".

Oh and hey Pfotie? It's OK if I call you "Pfotie", isn't it?

Arianna and Stephanie are so far out of your league that it's almost painful to watch. Almost.

That's the new GOP look. Ready at any moment to kiss Rush's butt.

Run!

It's the Return of Pfartenhuffer!

(Can she REALLY eat corn off the cob through a picket fence?)

Pluffenheffer

Well, well ... look at what the cat dragged in.

Another day, another reThug SOCIOPATH.
*

I'm confused. Does the link refer to Pfotie, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, Coulter, Eric Cantor, etc, etc, etc...?

She does have summer teeth....summer here, summer there...

Not sure about that, but the photo would suggest that she can give Bill Orally a run for his loofah money...

I think the Democrats are doing it for purely practical reasons, not for any emotional reason. I do think it could be effective though.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist!

LOL!

Pfotenhauer, jackass of the usual variety.

that sounds like a great idea. i submit that the super-rich, the CEOs, the hedge fund mgrs, and all others making more money than god, should be in the 70% tax level. afterall, it is still 20 odd percentage points less than under the eisenhower admin.

thanks for the good idea pffptotenhauer!

"...of whether it is affective or not..." affective: I do not think that word means what you think that it means. Try effective.

repukes are not the enemy...they are just evil shits

ooh...lars larson cares about poor people....hahahahahahahaha

and there is a difference in how obama is spending compared to bush

obama's budget is about investment in our future

bush's spending was all about making sure his buds got rich

They seem to be quite enemy-like to me...

" Id support Nancy if she only had a brain."

You want obnoxious? You want to wake up next to this every morning? Obviously I can't stand her.

Onwards: "Pfotenhauer: How can they pay more than the 70% they already pay?"
Your interpretation:
"I sure sounds like she's trying to leave the impression that there is someone out there in a 70% tax bracket while leaving herself some wiggle room if she's challenged on it later."

I think this is the wrong translation of what she is trying to say. She is using the Repug talking point, circa 2002, about what a high Percentage of total income taxes that are paid by the top 1% of taxpayers. What these pathetic Repugs don't seem to want to admit is that the top 1% make soooo much MORE than the rest of America, that it does produce that much income taxes.

REMEMBER: Republicans are the party of ME; what can government do for ME. The Democratic Party is the party of WE; what can government do to help as many people as possible, so WE can all do better.

I'll bet dollars to donuts that her 70% figure of total taxes is wayy high.
Also, dollars for donuts use to mean i will bet something more valuable than you have to I feel so sure I am right. In today's economy, it might be the donuts that are now worth more than the dollar. LOL

a cup of phone call?

..includes two wars Nancy! That's something W didn't do you know, include the costs of the wars.

Why yes, what a great point you have there. 56% of our tax paying dollars has gone to fund this black hole known as the military industrial complex.

Why aren't people screaming in the streets about this?

We spend an obscene amount of our own money occupying 128 countries and being at war with 2 currently. But standby! that may escalate to three very soon. After all, we are EMPIRE and very busy trying to "secure the realm."

The soldiers and their families don't get paid anything to be ordered around to kill people they never ever met.

It's the corporate industrialists who contract out on the kill trade that need to be drop kicked to the moon, Alice! And that's where over half of our money is going, people.

Exactly. Defense spending at these levels would make Eisenhower throw up.

clearly this last time was OFFENCE

Eisenhower warns us of the military industrial complex.

Every word will ring true. Especially NOW. Truer than he could have ever imagined because ,I'm sure, before the man died he had no idea the depravity and unconstiutional law breaking that would allow the Corporations to become the shadow government, that hidden hand that has run this and other nations into the ground with no regard to patriotism: only to their one god: GREED.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y06NSBBRtY

..evil. We need to re-learn how to wage it effectively. Not going into countries that are not a threat to us is good for a start (Iraq). Really, really going after the people who want to do us harm is also a good idea provided we don't try to do it on the cheap (Rumsfeld). Its also a good idea to use our allies and not go it alone (W).

We just figure out who wants to do us harm and kill them! And be sure to spend a lot of money doing it, too?

Seriously, WTF is this sh!t? Is this a joke, because goddamn.

looks like an alien life form who subsists on coke/coffee/redbull..coke.. as she heads toward the desirable ematiation look that is so tres chic.

She's a malnutrioned newsbot just reading her lines.

I would support Nancy Pfotenhauer if she just wasn't so equivocated.

Do some of these pundits even take a minute to listen to what they actually say?

"It would be day, if it wasn't night"

Wow... truly visionary types we're dealing with here....

Ha,ha. Exactly.

Has anyone seen ysb around lately? I'm beginning to worry about him.

As for Nancy, whose idea was it to drag her back on the screen again? Didn't care for her during the campaign and I still don't.

Yeah, if Pres. Obama would do everything the republican way, they would probably all support him. But he's not and that's why he beat her old mavrick John.

Worried, too.

As for Nancy, she'll never be Anne Coulter.

I hope he's ok.

Obama cannot work miracles. Perhaps he is just still in line. I hope.

I hope, too.

What? President Obama hasn't totally overhauled the VA system yet? Okay, that's it! Time to impeach! ;)

Ysb

I hope he'll be ok!

[I just finished swapping e-mails with him. He's just taking a break and he seems to be doing swell! Site Monitor]

Nancy Pfotenhauer has banged her maidenhead so hard it's
stuck in her throat as a dental dam.

that was nasty...clever and sophisticated...but nasty.

the 13 year old kid everyone was ragging on a few posts back look smarter and more mature than ever.

Preaching supply side economics should be right up there with preaching that the earth is the center of the universe and stationary and the sun, moon, and stars revolve around us. It really is not funny any more, putting more money in the hands of the well off has been proved beyond a doubt only moves money from the lower and middle classes to the upper classes. Government infrastructure and entitlement spending has not caused the economic crises and I am really sick of the right wing insulating this. They need to be shouted down before they have a chance to start. They have been wrong about everything, not just some things but everything for years and years and its time we stop hearing from them.

Honestly. Can we put that whole, "lower taxes on the wealthy and let them create jobs to encourage growth" bullshit to rest?

I suspect Nonsense Pfluffernutter was actually referring to the right-wing meme that the rich are so rich, their taxes comprise 70% of the government's annual tax revenues.

I assumed that as well but she didnt add that the top 10% income is about 95% of the total and are only paying 70% of the taxes.

or the lie, why include the invonvenient little buggers?

A CNN poll yesterday showed that 84% of Americans believe that this present economic crisis isn't Obama's fault. No one's buying your bullshit, Nancy...and please eat a sandwich.

The term Republican liar is - as you suggest - an oxymoron.
*

that means mutually contradictory terms. "Republican liar" is a redundancy.

Thanks, Chris.

Is this Nancy's polite way of hinting that she too wants the president to fail?

when there was a 90% tax bracket.

It was only when the rich started to be able to avoid taxes that the economy began to head into the shitter.

There was a NYTimes story the other day, iirc...

for doing to Obama what they screamed about Democrats not doing to Bush? Just asking those who might be inconsistent.

married couples who claim combined earnings of $300,000 per year wind up paying about 33% of their income. after they whittle down property taxes, deductions for charitable contributions, etc - they wind up owing about $48,000. the bulk of that is already taken out over the course of the year as long as they filled out their W2's correctly.

Obama wants to raise this to somewhere between 35% and 36%. or about $52,000.

a difference of about $4000. for couples who gross about $300,000/year. boo frickin hoo.

70% ??!!!!??

who the hell gives the IRS 70% of their personal income every year? nobody, thats who.

*****
I really wish journalists would challenge the mathematical lies submitted by right wing pundits more often.

autoworkers do not earn $70/hour on average.
millionaires don't cough up 70% of their income to the IRS every year.
and the earth is older than 7000 years old.

if I caught his drift correctly, she is alleging that the people whose taxess are going up pay 70% of income taxes collected. He points out they make 90% of the money. I don't know if either figure is accurate. I do know that a 70% rate has been exceeded under that flaming lib commie Dwight D. Eisenhower ( which rhymes with Pfotenhauer).

And the earth is not 7,000 years old, it is only 6,000.

Why doesn't anyone remember to pull this rabbit out of the hat? -- Bush himself famously said, "... the rich don't pay any taxes anyway."

What re-Thugs are ignoring is the fact that the election was completely about the re-Thuglic's failed policies. The American people said "no more" -- they wanted change.

Sorry Nancy - and all the rest of you reich-wing wackos -- but ignoring the simple truth will not bring you back into power. The American people are at least paying a little bit of attention right now. And that's because of the economic rock the re-Thuglics dropped on them.

I don't know if there is any creature as stupid as a reich-wing lunatic.
*

"But when he advocates things that are bad for Americans it's people's duty to challenge him. That's patriotic."

Except for Bush, right?

Why

don't more democrats bring up the social security issue. It's the perfect example of how republican policies don't work when you imagine what would have happened had social security been privatized.

for a good idea what would have happened to Social Security.

"Pfotenhauer: How can they pay more than the 70% they already pay?"

Easy - raise their taxes some more.

Effective....

hurts my eyes...

Get ready for it. Today Rush invited Pres. Obama to come on his show and debate him. If you think the right wingers were screaming before, just wait until they start calling the Pres. a coward for not doing what Rush is asking.

I'm not sure anyone is paying attention to Nancy right now, her 15 minutes may have been up back in November. She can talk, but who's going to listen?

Obama should one-up him.

He should offer to debate him in a one-on-one in a different - neutral - public venue in prime time. He should pick one of the major corporate media treasonous outfits - I don't care which, but not Faux Noise though (not neutral).

Get a bigger audience and get a moderator. Not a usual re-Thug flunky.
*

America's Biggest Loser.

1. There isn't a 70% bracket.

2. There once was a 94% bracket in the 1940's, which did not get reduced below 80% until the mid-1960's.

There is precedent for far higher taxes on the wealthy, and the world not coming to an end.

even when there was a 94% bracket...no one paid that rate.

The GOP doesn't want to talk effective tax rates.

Even when this tax rate existed, I believe it was only income over a certain level that was taxed at 94%. (i.e. Everything you make over 250,000$ for example, is taxed at that rate.)

Not to defend pfotenhauer but I don't think she was implying that the top 1% are taxed at 70%. I think she's saying they pay a 70% of all the income tax that is collected. That may be about right but they control about 90% of the wealth so it seems to me like they're still getting a bargain.

Dear Nancy ~~

As a taxpayer - I'm interested in where the money we pay goes. As far as I can tell - the money we pay to the US Government goes to pay the salaries of congress peoples and their lavish, wonderful healthcare programs and pensions and perks. I don't see where I'm benefiting in any real way frankly.

I think it's time the government invested in the people who are investing in them. Obama is spending the money on us - the American people - and this is how I want my tax dollars spent. Fuck off.
*

With a dumb blonde Reslug like her running his campaign it's no wonder McBush lost and lost big.

Republican talking heads and lawmakers are all narcissits. I mean they'd have to be, since they were soundly defeated in the last two elections and yet they still act like they have the best ideas.

And when they trash Obama for spending so much, they need to remember that he's working on cleaning up the mess left by their glorious leader, King George the Lesser.

Consider the fact that they may all be sociopaths.
*

It came as a surprise when Pfotenhauer mentioned that challenging the President was patriotic. Whatever happened to "you are either with us, or against us", and what was that whole thing that happened to The Dixie Chicks?

Poor little Georgie Boy had self-esteem issues, so Republicans cut him some slack.

The way to shut up Republicans on this is to say Bush and the Republicans used debt to invest billions in the destruction and reconstruction of Iraq, while Obama is forced to use debt -- because it's the only strategy left to him after the Republicans wrecked the economy -- to invest in America.

we are using what they left us with.

is abandoning people to the street while they buddy up and provide each other with refuge that none of the rest of us are able to use. and this is all they can come up with, over and over again.

Hmmm, one just has to think: if the Republicans ever enacted a HUMANE policy or one that allowed the nation as a whole to benefit . . .they might get support from the voters that have more than one tooth and a double-wide.

more of an eye catcher, if it went like this instead.

"Nancy Pfotenhauer would eat live babies if they were dipped in caramel."

See what I mean?

became about being the opposition party. They're at war with Obama and company mainly and probably even only because of that reason.

I was watching Make 'Em Laugh on PBS the other night and the played a song Groucho Marx sang in one of the Marx Brothers movies: 'Whatever It Is, I'm Against It'. Summed up the current Republican party line perfectly.

I swear that the Phout's perma-grin blocks her hearing so she can't hear what others are saying. Condescending grins like hers send me out to get sunglasses.

She's a loser who should just go away....or be kept away by MSNBC!

Does anyone else see the folly of giving this cretins a pay check via face time on da teevee???

I AM so sick of these bush afterbirths....smelly, distasteful, and bad actors, the lot of them.

Fuckin', stupid-ass people who give them attention, regardless the medium, DO NOT DESERVE RESPECT.

QUIT GIVING THEM A PAYCHECK.......AND FUCK 'EM ALL......ROVE, LIMPBALLS, and all the other cling-ons...........JESUS H. Christ on a popcicle stick.....I've just about stopped reading blogs because of it. Get them the fuck off your sites.....or at least limit it to one post per day.

WTF is going on with enabling these mother fuckers??? I am mad as hell, and usually a refined lady......but this is an orgy of stupid. QUIT IT RIGHT NOW.

"I am mad as hell, and usually a refined lady..."

Really? You could have fooled me.

You mean I didn't sound mad enough? I could use a bit more spicy lingo if you insist.

Swearing is nothing compared to the damage the GOP has visited on our country, so put your big boy pants on, and spare me the synthetic snark. Thanks.

...we've ever had, but it isn't entirely true to say that he and the Republicans got us to where we are today. They were certainly the proximate causes of our current difficulties, but it is time that Americans admitted that our entire economic model has been irresponsible and unsustainable for many, many decades. I would say forever, but it doesn't seem fair to blame the founders for failing to understand what they had no hope of understanding.

Of course, we can't place the blame where it belongs -- on American style laissez-faire capitalism -- because we have nothing to put in its place. Economically, the only beverage that has ever been available in quantity in this country is Capitalism Kool-Aid. Our economic foundations are built on short-term thinking, short-term profits, and corporate supremacy. It's no surprise that many of the proposed solutions to our current situation are simply ways to re-inflate one bubble or another. Those economists who have recognized the inherent flaws in our system and who have tried to offer alternatives are largely marginal figures who are generally unknown and virtually never appear in any of the mainstream media.

Of course Bush was grossly incompetent. Of course Republicans are hopelessly hypocritical and have nothing constructive to offer. Unfortunately, even in the best cases, all the Democrats have to offer are band aids that may or may not help in the short run, but which almost certainly won't help fix -- really fix -- what ails us.

The fact that the public discourse is dominated by personalities rather than thinkers is revealing. The further fact that MSM programming continues to roll out idiots like Lars Larson and Nancy Pfotenhauer to speak for the utterly bankrupt Right is a sure sign this crisis is having no positive effect on our ability to deal with critical issues. That isn't to say that Huffington and Miller are really the people we need to hear from, they may be right on the facts in this case, but they're just playing the same trite roles that get filled on both sides of any issue in this country.

My expectation is that if you listen to the most pessimistic commenters out there (excluding the reflexive morons on the Right), and assume that the situation is significantly worse than they say, you'll still not grasp just how dire things are. Every step of the way in this unfolding disaster, we've been assured that things are better than they really are or will not get worse or will start to improve soon. I don't believe any of these people a) understand the depth of the problem, b) have the knowledge necessary to mitigate the damage or fix what's wrong, or c) are capable, given the constraints of the intellectual straitjackets they wear, of offering anything constructive in the future.

On a more positive note, the sun is out and Daylight Saving Time begins in a few days.

and ending with the promise of an extra hour of sleep was a nice touch.

:)

We have the government stepping in the way of that damned capitalism every step of the way. That same capitalism that gave this country wealth, secured our way of life and puts food on the table is evil and bad. The government should make sure we all have jobs, fair pay, healthcare and whatever else it deems the public good. Until you realize only the people with government connections can get anything done.

Freedom and capitalism work. It just takes retard politicians and central bankers decades to realize it... decades after they propped up bad investment, home prices and the lot. Cause hyper-inflation and dollar bubble.. oh.. and expand spending and the war in Afghanistan.

To blame capitalism for our current state of affairs is hallucinogenic.

actually it's realistic.
The founders of this nation were very concerned with the effects of unfettered capitalism on a democracy. To make believe that the two systems do not interact is idiocy.
Capitalism corrupts democracy because capitalism is essentially about each person fighting for their own personal best interest. Which is the opposite of what the socialist idea of democracy is about.
Capitalism fails when no one has the balls to point out that it's a very, very dangerous economic system. You know, like in the last 30 years, when capitalism has been held out by the right as a religion that can and will cure any problem, if only the poor, dumb, stupid bastards who are getting assraped by it don't use their voting rights to fuck it up.

...is delusional. Your problem may be that you can't differentiate between unfettered, unregulated, irresponsible capitalism and a sane mixed economy that adopts the best features of various systems depending on which ones work in different circumstances.

The only health care system that will be just, comprehensive, and affordable is a single-payer universal system, but it will be extremely expensive and require choices among priorities. There are a number of variations possible, only one of which is pure socialism. The profit motive is antithetical to a workable heath care system, but those of you whose ideological straitjackets are two sizes too small, will never accept that no matter how badly capitalism fails.

"Freedom and capitalism work."

I know this will come as a huge shock to you, but freedom and capitalism are not the same thing. Freedom is not a single thing only achieved through one economic (or political) system. The freedom to die because of poor or no health care is not a freedom most sane people would favor. It isn't irrational to accept that one kind of freedom may require giving up a little of another kind. Today's Republicans seem to favor the "freedom from taxes" above all else, except that freedom from taxes also means freedom from countless services that save lives and make other lives worth living. Freedom from bankruptcy due to medical bills -- and thus the ability to carry on a productive, fulfilling life -- is taken for granted by other wealthy countries, but until you face losing your home, the ability to send your children to college, and everything else that is lost in bankruptcy, you'll undoubtedly continue to believe that it only happens to bad, lazy people.

I'm not much of a fan of Obama. I think he is wearing a straitjacket of his own; one that limits him to conventional thinking and conventional policies -- policies that are not adequate to the problems they are meant to address. Republicans and conservatives like to believe that if Obama's stimulus package doesn't lead to a successful recovery that will prove that their proposals (mostly an array of tax cuts) were correct. That's utter nonsense. It could mean that Obama did too little, too late -- i.e., it should have been a more aggressive package and it should have begun under Bush. And his failure says nothing about the likelihood of success of policies that have already proved themselves to be inadequate and misguided.

Someone in chronic pain needs relief. Taking opioids may be the only thing that helps, but because 60mg of morphine relieves some of the pain, it doesn't mean that 6000mg will be better. Like most medications, opioids can be beneficial if taken in a well-regulated manner; take too much or take them inappropriately (e.g., mixed with alcohol) and the results can be disastrous. Capitalism, free enterprise, the profit motive, etc. all have their place. In this country we've been unable to find the level of regulation that prevents the worst abuses while still taking advantage of the things that do work. The reason for this failure is, I believe, fairly simple: We value the ability of a small number of people to become fabulously wealthy over the ability of all citizens to provide for the basic necessities and a few of the "finer things" of life. We've created an unjust system where having money passes for virtue, gives one an advantage in the justice system and other aspects of life, and results in what we have today -- a huge mess in which the wealthy will still come out ahead and everyone else will suffer.

last night and saw Ms Phuffenstuff and immediately changed the channel
to Rachel. Nancy had nothing of consequence to say during the election - I seriously doubt she has anything useful to add now.

If she were a 'real person' (I'm not sure that she is - as her head never seems to move - just her lips), she'd donate every penny she gets from her "appearances" to her local food bank.

..she takes from the Koch Brothers, one of the main driving forces behind the explosion of conservative "think tanks" in the 80's and since. also some of the most egregious polluters this country has ever seen. Good lord but these people are insidious. These guys were right there with Scaife in terms of the money they have poured into muddying the waters for our country.

Republicans seem to be living in denial- they are not in charge anymore, McCain lost the election- why can't they see this?

That is some serious denial. The Republicans have gone nuts and are doing their best to forget what happened in November. You know, when people were out in the street CHEERING :-D

Pfotenhauer? Isn't that a fart in a wind storm?

...whatshername, Frau GOoPer, grinned like a leering skull, interrupted, lied, obfuscated the real subject, avoided anwering questions by spouting tired conservative talking points, and filibustered with pure, undiluted condescension in an effort to just make the entire segment useless to anyone watching who wanted to learn some, oh I don't know, FACTS, right?

I don't even have to watch this clip to know what this stepford wife rattled on about yet again.

i sure did. mcStain's spokeskank could not get a logical fallacy in edgewise against rachel. it was f'in beautiful!

Look, here's how they come up with that "70%" number. Since there's a tax included in utility bills, ALL their utility bills are counted as a tax. Tires over a certain size are subject to an excise tax - therefore money spent on ANY tire is counted as a tax. Sales tax on groceries - ALL of what is spent on food is counted as a tax. Simple!

70%

It's the other way, actually. The top 5% of income earners pays 70% of the entire revenue brought in by income tax. They pay a much smaller percentage of total revenue, brought in by payroll taxes, sales tax, property tax, etc.

But when he advocates things that are bad for Americans it's people's duty to challenge him. That's patriotic.

All of the sudden, apparently, Repubes think that dissent is again patriotic. Disingenuous tools.

Sit down. Shut up.

That's right Steele, only Rush is the "talking head media star"!

hand pfotie her ass on a platter.
:<[)

Another Nasty Fartinwhore classic!

Yes Nasty and most of us would have supported Bush if he would have enacted Democratic / Liberal policies...........JEEEEE SUS

This is what passes for Intellectual discussion on TV.

When you remember that Fartinwhore was the CEO of Hewlett Packard (She tanked the stock) it's not hard to understand why the economy is in the sorry state we find it in today!

Reminds me of Edvard Munch's "the Scream." After listening to her inane drivel you would scream too.

The false testimony of the Bush Adm is a very critical point they made. This is what absolutely has to be confronted. Not hunted down and executed. Confronted and exposed for the deceit it truly is, danger it poses and the damage it does to those that get influenced by lies as many did by preditory lending in the housing bust.

Pfotenhauer: How can they pay more than the 70% they already pay?

It sure sounds like she's trying to leave the impression that there is someone out there in a 70% tax bracket while leaving herself some wiggle room if she's challenged on it later.
......

That the wealthy put in more money than the rest of us in personal income taxes. Ask Britany Spears, Al Pacino or a guy who owns his own business and profits about a million yearly, how much money they have to cough up.

Then look at middle class people and lower class. The real earners are taxed to hell and back, where as the people at the lower end of the totem poll get alot of their money back.. especially if they have kids.

Im not sticking up for the neo con... Its just a fact.

Many of those 'poor', 'middle class', and 'rich' people are the same exact people, only at different points in their lives. People with kids who are paying off their mortgage often go on to save and invest later in their lives, and end up in a higher bracket. Shouldn't they have to 'pay up' for the breaks they got earlier in life?
As for multi-millionaires and billionaires; most have never held a real job and earn their money leeching off the 'earned' income of working people.
Fuck them. They set up this bust-out so they could steal the income of the emerging Eastern nations and the American baby-boomers. They saw it coming, and rigged the game so they could steal with both hands and leave the working chumps with the bill.
Fuck them, let them pay up.

Nancy, you ignorant slut, it doesn't work that way.
Bush spent FOUR trillion dollars to kill 4200 American soldiers.

Obama is spending ONE trillion dollars to save 10 million homes from foreclosure.

It's not the same..

Obama is keeping most of Bush and the Global Empire's policies.. He is giving them our tax money on a silver platter , while letting them outsource their jobs and manufacturing plant as fast as they can..

Obama is starting to sound like Pelosi ,, stating that if there was nothing to be gain by prosecuting Bush and his criminal mob so he wants to move on... (Pelosi show me a crime that Bush/Cheney has committed and I will start impeachment else it is a waste of our time)... Yes there is something to gain by this prosecution of these criminals which have destroy our constitution , laws , honor and economy.. It called justice and with out it we are a lawless nation and this practice will continue in the future and how knows at some point Obama might think it is in his best interest. He is now still using the illegal spying that Bush has set in place... Once a person in power take or receives greater power it will never be purged but made stronger in the future..

The Iraq war is still kicking along , while Afghanistan and Pakistan is turning into a raging forest fire... Obama keep trying to find an out for Bush and companies' war crimes and other corruption... Obama is keeping Bush's illegal spying in place (for him to use??). Obama is not going to renegotiate the free trade bill will has killed our manufacturing plants , wages and jobs.. I do not see any transparent in our government's giving of our money to Global Financial Empires and where they are giving it to foreign nations and what they are doing with it..

Obama's gift to GM and the auto industrial has been used by GM and others to farther build the plants and jobs overseas while firing workers in America and cut the wages and benefits..

I funded , supported and voted for Obama and by his turn a round in his campaign policies I am mad a h... and I thing Obama is working for the same organization or group in which Bush did.. The only change I see is the BS we are feed and the bones he throws in order to pacify us while they continue to transfer all our wealth and power to the Global Empire...

Where are the Jobs and who is going to build the manufacturing plants in order for us to self support ourselves and make us independent and our economy flowing for the working class...

We are being feed a snow job if not why are we "giving everything' or better yet why is everything "taken" from us while the Global Empire plants itself in all the foreign countries while our economy , jobs and lives are being stolen from us...
