MSNBC's irony alert button is broken. For some reason the producers of Morning Joe thought anyone should care what Rudy Giuliani thinks about Mark Sanford's marital problems. And they managed to make it through the entire segment while completely ignoring Giuliani's own affairs. Imagine that.

republicanism is a mental illness!

No.

Unless you consider standard human behavior a mental illness.

Just because someone may be selfish, close-minded, bratty, pious, ignorant, cowardly, bigoted and/or a homophobic closeted homosexual doesn't make them mentally ill. It just makes them a douchebag.

It makes them not willing to change, ie Conservative.

It's like bringing on Jeffrey Dahmer to discuss the problems of the BTK killer. Morning Joe is the Morning Joke. Minka actually called herself "as someone on the left" when discussing the health care debate. She's as far left as my right hand.

Or John Wayne Gacy to discuss balloon animals or DIY repairs on the front porch.

And discussing hands and Minka is one of those things that sounds dirty but isn't. "Yeah, Minka's my left hand when my right hands not looking."

I apologize. They adjusted my meds last week.

I swear--there is an executive in charge of talent at MSNBC that has a really wry sense of humor.

extramarital affairs better than Rudy. He could offer life coaching in how to do it. I'm pretty sure someone at MSNBC not only understood irony they probably forbade mentioning Rudy's own indiscretions. It would have spoiled the joke.

I mean, the true irony of Rudy being on the show is that this subject is probably the one and only he's qualified to provide any kind of information about at all. He's a total fucking expert.

MSNBC is in the pocket of liberal extremists!!!

They're partisan moonbats!!!

Liberal media bias at it's worst!!!

The left hand of MSNBC doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

They're not really partisan one way or the other - they're bipolar. Extreme mood swings from right to left.

whatever. they have a ratings niche. its paying the bills. left? scarborough?? please! ...and matthews was all about the neo con bandwagon, because he's a windflag. if it went right and the polls backed it up guess who matthews would cheer? you can toot your horn all day about olbermann and maddow being left, and a few others...

but as for the partisan finger pointing pissing contest, who watches one network? only an idiot would get their news from one source in this age, and its not hard to figure out those who do.

I should have mentioned the "snark" in my post.

tap! tap! take it back!

cool?

Msnbc is not a viable liberal alternative to faux crap as long as they keep that hack Scarbozo on every freaking morning. I'll stick to real news on the internet thank you.

Lately I've been tuning it all out, even though I pay for it!

Here's an interesting article, I love the title.

The TV Business Is Toast

I can see why Scarborough shuts her up. She is painful to listen to.

I did, however, get a kick out of Giuliani talking about "performing well". LOL!

Poor Rudy. Got in tons of hot water and had to go into hiding with his gay friends all for some fugly chick while Sanford got to go lounging in Argentina with a fairly attractive lady.

By the way, I wonder how many of Rudy's gay friends would let him crash on their sofa now days? My guess, is not many. Maybe Cheney's daughter and Larry Craig. But that's about it.

I wonder what Rudy's BFF Bernie Kerik is up to these days. What a bunch of losers!

I saw him on "Housewives of New Jersey" last week. He apparently is a "close personal friend" of the family that owns the Brownstone. He was doing something with training German Shepards. I don't watch the show, but I did catch him on screen as I was walking through the family room.

That's who Morning Schmo should've had on.

Quick! Get him on the phone! See if he's free to talk about extra-marital affairs. Or at least weigh in on whether or not Michael Jackson was really the king of pop.

Is that what Mika looks like? Usually all you see of her is the back of her head above the table directly in front of Scarborough's crotch. Actually, she can blow Joe just sitting there. And yes, she is painful to listen to.

I'm assuming the only reason "Three vowels and 9-11" is on the panel is that his ego needed some tube time as most of America is going out their way to avoid the dickhead.

so little airtime...

I don't think it's ironic at all. MSNBC is simply asking an expert in this particular field.

I thought they had already scraped the bottom of the barrel.........guess not..........:)

They got their barrel from Hogan's Heroes. There is no bottom, just a hole they keep digging out.

Pros: Cute little Frenchman in beret.

Cons: That dude from Family Feud.

I see nothing! NOTHING!

Sgt. Shultz was an honorable man.

.

Hell, they might as well bring Bill Clinton on. Seriously.

The problem is there were more than one or two people (I think there were three) conservative Republicans who actually thought Rudy was a viable "Family Values Guy". Seriously.

Even rethugs saw the uselessness of Rudy.

These are the same people who embrace Bristol Palin as the voice of abstinence without reservation.

The same people who believed Bush was a cowboy.

The same people who think Colbert is on their side.

We aren't talking about sharp critical thinking skills.

Funny, I have a certain relative who thinks Colbert is a total right winger. I refuse to correct him.

used to love Colbert and would even talk about certain segments and how he really took it to the libs. She finally caught on...and now finds his show "humorous."

Bring em *all* on. Rudy, Bubba, Larry Craig, Spitzer, Ensign, Edwards, McCain, Newter...they can have a panel discussion.

:)

LOL

Who better to discuss adultery than a several time adulterer?

BTW...... I couldn't watch the clip (Nausea!) but how many times did rotten Rudy mention 911?

That's Funny.

I only got about half way through it myself. Then the nausea set in.

If 9/11 had not been so tramatic probably none of these assholes would have been forced to cheat on their wives.

If Mark Sanford were a Democrat 9ui11iani would be calling for his head the way Sanford called for Clinton's. Funny how the GOP always conveniently overlooks the blatant hypocrisy point.

The same douchebags who railed against Clinton for his affairs and Kerry for marrying up voted for McCain who did both.

You want to blow a conservative's mind? Tell them you voted for Obama because of his traditional family values. Then lay out the case against McCain. They go nutz!

Oh, come on now. Don't forget how forgiving they were of Eliot Spitzer. Oh wait, that was Vitter they treated with kid gloves.

An egomaniacal adulterer whose own kids don't even want to know his name. Yep, just the guy to have on to discuss another GOP freak's marital failures. I think the caption should read "Rudy Giuliani - Another GOP apologist"

...I can't begin to say how ironic this is. You can almost straighten out the wrinkles on your shirt with it.

Almost.

If watching Rudy being an expert about marital (in)fidelity can iron my clothes for me, I'm all for it.

Rudy will do or say anything to/about anyone, any time, anywhere, to make a buck!

And, maybe I give him to much credit, no?

If anyone knows the ins and outs (pardon the pun) of an adulterous affair and it's effects upon a political career, it's Rudy G. Maybe tomorrow they could have a roundtable panel of Rudy, Newt, Larry Craig, and Vitter (and maybe Joe Scarborough himself!).

Yeah, rudy's a good one to go to for answers on ethics and morals. How many wives has he had now? Is this the same dolt that tried to run for president because he happened to be the mayor of NYC when the WTC was hit with the emergency hqtrs in the basement? This the same pimple that parrots every talking point the right wing has ever put out there?

Give me a break. What a hoax this show is.

What? Newt Gingrich wasn't available???
*

He was in confession at his newly found church.

Our Lady of Rejuvenated Hooters?

"our lady of the head-bobbing under the desk because it ain't intercourse".

rudy is a pig

and i wish the msm would stop framing sanford's problem as one of infidelity

the best pols fucked everything that walked....kept them from fucking the country

his prob was leaving the country on the taxpayer dime, not telling anyone where he was going...and disapearing for 5 days

he should be fired

btw, i wont include obama in that first comment, cuz look who he gets to go home too

and if he did eff around...she would cut his balls off

This network also spent the better part of the noon (Pacific time) hour showing its nationwide audience a freeway car chase in Dallas. I have no idea why.

OK

So, that made me laugh. Funny image.

"Honey, where the hell is this going on? WHERE? Dallas, what? Texas? What the hell...what, are they headed this way or something?"

...to get through taping the rudy segment without using a laugh track is beyond me.

MSNBC is to FOX NEWS as Left is to Right.

They are one in the same, the faster you people realize this, the faster we can get this Country back on track.

There is a huge difference between FOX, O'Reilly, Beck and MSNBC, Olberman, Maddow, etc. The difference is that FOX lies all the time and clearly has a very strong right-wing agenda driven by Roger Ailes and his morning talking points to the troops.

Sure MSNBC leans left with some of there shows, but they are not a direct mouth piece of the Democratic party in the same way FOX is to the Republicans. MSNBC also actually have some legitimate right-leaning shows like Scarborough (can't find one left leaning show on FOX) and the number of times you can find MSNBC misleading the public can be counted on one hand versus 1,000s of times on FOX. Do a Google search under MSNBC lies versus FOX lies.

Odd, how they avoided raising the "Family Values" campaaigning?

The, " I am better than the other guy because I am looked on with favor from God, thing."

You know, Libuls are Godless? And Republicans as S.C Governor Sanford and Nev Senator Ensign. Who are big on God, Family values, do as I say and condemn anyone that does as I do?

Republicans who viciously promote themselves as cleaner than the other person. As mark Foley and Larry Craig from the party that owns Family Values?

And as far as Rudi complaining about losing too many public servants because of these human things. Funny, that Bill Clinton wasn't human? Elliot Spitzer wasn't human either. Some sort of Martians from Mars I guess that didn't deserve their privacy in personal matters.

How about if the DNC sends Bubba to do a TV ad poking fun at the GOP family values parade of sluts? He could do it with humor, from somebody who's been there. Most Americans don't know about Rudi and Newt, etc; especially with Faux lying about the perp's party i-d.

WOW

Great Idea!!

Joe Scarborough himself cheated with a congressional aid and eventually left his wife of many years. Same time as he and others were screaming at Clinton.

Both of these guys (Scarborough and Giulianni) have very good perspectives on how to be scumbags and screw your family.

Giulianni's kids hate him.

was just one of the reasons NYers wanted Rude-y out.

I guess this is similar to when cops asked Ted Bundy to help catch the Green River Killer...
