McCain Continues Fear Mongering About Violence on Arizona Border
John McCain is still insisting that President Obama come visit the Arizona border and that he's ignoring the violence there being caused by the drug cartels. Chris Wallace points out to McCain that despite his criticism of the Obama administration, the annual flow of illegals into the U.S. is 2/3 smaller than it was in 2005 and the total number of illegals into the U.S. is down 8% from 2007 and asks if they deserve any credit for having done something right? McCain goes on and all but ignores the statistics cited to him by Wallace other than to acknowledge that finally that there has been some improvement.
Wallace should have also pointed out to him that not only are the immigration numbers down, but he's lying about the violence increasing as well. While crime has increased on the Mexican side of the border it is not "spilling onto our side" as McCain claims here.

Some measures on illegal immigration to the United States have improved, but the Obama administration is ignoring violence spilling into the U.S. from Mexico, Arizona Sen. John McCain said Sunday.
The 2008 Republican presidential candidate noted that 28,000 Mexican citizens have been murdered in the drug war in Mexico, with 72 individuals, including 14 women, killed in one attack just last week. That violence is a threat to U.S. security, McCain said.
"The people who live in the southern part of my state do not have a secure environment. To wit, there are signs that the government put up that say, 'Warning. You are in a drug smuggling area and a human smuggling area,'" McCain "Fox News Sunday." [...]
Anybody who "hasn't seen what's going on south of our border, they have been oblivious to the terrible, terrible struggle that's going on down there," McCain said. "The incredible violence down there is spilling over onto our side of the border if we don't get our border secured."
McCain said President Obama needs to walk the Arizona-Mexico border and see for himself the destruction caused by an explosion in drug and human trafficking.
"Unfortunately, he hasn't had time to do so," he said.
Rumor has it that the only headless body found along the border was McCains.

While the predominant number of deaths and violence associated with the drug cartels occurs south of the USA-Mexican border, these drug cartels have a strong presence in over 200 USA cities nation-wide, official crime statistics report. Many localities fail to publicly report illegal alien and drug cartel violence, for fear of further alienating these communities from LEO criminal investigations. Tacit acceptance of the illegal hiring of illegal nonresident aliens by employers fosters further lawless activity, and the drug cartels are the sharks swimming in the seas of the illegal alien communities.
Building border fences alone to deal with the illegal or unauthorized migration of people across borders is ineffective and wasteful of taxpayer monies. Senator John McCain already knows this, but refuses to publicly address the core of the actual solution -- provide a means for otherwise illegal aliens to normalize their existence in the USA short of providing a path toward citizenship, while also pursuing criminal employers who willfully and repeatedly hire illegal aliens to treat as chattel slaves.
Perhaps federal law needs to be changed to force employers to pay illegal aliens $2.00 to $3.00 more per hour than American citizens, in order to compensate these workers' loss of future access to their FICA contributions. Employers in violation should be subject to criminal prosecution and long prison sentences.
There is nothing quite like the government encouraging the hiring of American workers, while also recognizing the contributions made by illegal alien workers. Employer exploitation should not be tolerated.

?How is he even still around. how do you get demolished in two presidential racs and still find a way to get on sunday talk shows as a expert on anything? Hes not in a single leadership position, and every 3 weeks hes talking about how violent things are but he cant show any evidence of it. Something I left on the DMN blog site, some goober was trying to blame the "Death Tax" for the death of the family farm and hurting small businesses:
The biggest killer of the family farm was ronald reagan.
The few who survived was due to finding debt relief from groups like Archer Daniel Midlands and Monsanto, or one of their subsidiaries. They find themselves working as the modern equivalent of indentured servants, where they have to follow policies and procedures of ADM and Monsanto, whether they agreed with them or not, or lose their debt relief and their farms. Then when their farms go on the auction block, they're sold to the highest bidders, usually ADM or Monsanto.
Every week during his time it seemed more and more farms were going on the auction block regardless of the farmer's intention. The farmer was inevitably alive and losing his place primarily to debt as they tried to keep up with technological and output costs. They had no farm in most places to leave after they died.
And the farmer doesn't pay the estate tax twice, the father did as income, and the beneficiary as gift. In most places, they were exempted if the property was worth under a certain amount of money, which due to bank debt they almost always were.
Small businesses on the other hand are also usually exempted, and because they're small they also qualify for the middle-class relief that President Obama is offering. What's hurting them is the Walmarts who will go into a neighborhood and suck up all the local businesses, everything from watch repair, shoes, clothes, household goods, durable goods etc, driving the original stores out of business, because Wallmart gets their stuff cheaply made in China. Then if the Walmart leaves the area it leaves devastation in it's wake, not only of Main Street, but also local factories whose work was outsourced to Asia.
And other large corporate stores followed the Walmart example of outsourcing to Asia to remain competitive, and buying more of their goods there raising the problems exponentially.
The few workers left in an industry are then expected to work far harder, often without any cost of living increases, and you can forget about bonuses. They have to work harder, often on reduced pay, to make up for the lost hands in a state of panic for fear they would lost their job. Then they have to watch as their tax dollars go to bail out failed corporations and banks, because the "relief" the republicans offer is usually to those last institutions. But relief to the workers? Oh that's the evil "Socialism."
Never mind that without consumers a consumption based economy crashes.
Meanwhile we have our cheap Chinese made garbage, but only if we have a job so we can afford it.

Has anyone ever bothered to look at a map? Yes AZs southern border is with Mexico, but on the west they are bordered with California and on the east with New Mexico. Both of those states also border with Mexico. Utah is directly North of AZ, Colorado North East, borders with Utah and New Mexico. Texas borders New Mexico to the south and east.
Are they going to build walls around AZ to prevent Mexicans from crossing the borders at California, New Mexico and Texas, traveling through other states to get to AZ? Or do Mexicans who cross other state borders into AZ get a pass as legal citizens?
Then if you "listen", if you can stomach him, to McSenile, everytime he mentions "violence" it is "South of our border" not on "our side of the border".
I'll tell you what. The GOD these "people" are always whining about would have never allowed these people to be born. They would have been "spontaniously" aborted or their mothers would have been.
