Mary Matalin on the Bush Years: We're Going To Look Back at a Pretty Remarkable Presidency
By Heather Tuesday Nov 04, 2008 9:00am
Lady MacCheney still lives in an alternate reality. One in which she hangs out at a saloon with John Hinderaker, who once called Bush a genius.
It must be very strange to be President Bush. A man of extraordinary vision and brilliance approaching to genius, he can’t get anyone to notice. He is like a great painter or musician who is ahead of his time, and who unveils one masterpiece after another to a reception that, when not bored, is hostile.
She's still defending Bush and Cheney for all she's worth and it's pretty sad that she never will come clean with the American people.
From Race to the White House Nov. 3, 2008.
Gregory: Do you think it's possible to overstate the impact of the President on this election? It's where a lot of the arguments started and where, it's where it ends. The shadow that the President and the Vice President for that matter have cast over the Republican ticket.
Matalin: I, to answer your question directly, I don't think it's possible. I think it's, the President's impact on this ticket has been grossly, grossly overstated.
{snip}
And I'll say this and you were there for eight years, we're going to look back at a pretty, really remarkable Presidency relative to national security and yes there is an un, ah unrecorded and unreported lately how long that recovery was that economic recovery right up to this last incident here which he warned against.
I think the Bush Presidency will be remembered as remarkable, but not for the same reasons as Matalin does. The word tragic comes to mind.

To say the least.
What's tragic is I can't get the good stuff that Matalin is smoking.
She should slap her plasic surgeon.
I think that the photo on the right is actually that of Prince Valiant.
Until Grendal's ma ripped his face off?
..
hairdresser tried (and succeeded, IMHO) to recreate the Vader helmet look using only the hairs poking out of that head.
Buster Brown
that bad plastic surgery and Botox, in the words of Robert DeNiro's Jimmy Conway character in "GoodFellas, has turned her mind to mush.
And I've used this one on this harpie many times here in the past. Morris from 'Slap Shot': "That C*#t is no good."
How do creepos like Hot Tub Tom Delay, Malkin, Matalin, Coulter, et al, continue to get their mugs on TV?
Simple, Fox news
Good one. Laughing my rear end off.

Hopefully, George W. Bush will be the first U.S. President to be indicted, arrested and turned over to the World Court to be tried and convicted as a war criminal and sentenced to life in prison.
I will stand guard pro bono.
and…
If they give me the key to his cell
hee hee
and I throw it away, er, I mean lose it,
well…
Maybe he could hang around like Saddam.
Let's do something that would make Conservatives and evangelicals heads explode...
If by some bizzare chance that Bush admits that he was wrong and that he did commit crimes against U.S. citizens... I vote that we take the Jesus route...
We forgive Bush for his wrongdoings.
.
This is NOT JesusLand...
.
Chimpy is responsible for over one million deaths of our fellow human beings. You don't forgive that.
Three nails and a cross would be more appropriate.
good for the birds and squirrels too
Won't happen. Bush will go back to Crawford, write his memiors and that will be that. Sad as it is.
NOT if Vermont votes correctly...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQxPDIyoMI4
So he'll have a ghostwriter.
A Fred Barnes reprise, maybe?
"OK, Georgie, tell me again how you courageously blew up frogs as a young boy ..."
He maybe, might, sort of have 100,000 acres of brush to clear down there.
Plenty of spots to dig spider-holes down there, eh? But seriously, he won't be prosecuted. He's already been marginalized, the quicker we move on, the better off we'll be.
Bush violated the sovereignty of a country and caused untold suffering to hundreds of thousands. You don't believe in punishing war crimes?
Prosecuting, convicting and sentencing of Bush and his minions is the ONLY way the U.S. can clear its name with the world community. Otherwise, we will remain the 21st century's Nazi Germany--and someone will punish...us.
Actually electing Obama, would go much further in repairing our reputation with the world.
Just like they punished Tricky Dick?
Yeah but Tricky Dicky didn't invade a country on false pretenses, order and approve torture, and shred the Constitution that he was sworn to uphold. BIG difference.
I seem to remember something about a secret invasion of Cambodia.
I guess one man's atrocity is another man's misdomenor.
I guess that the Nuremburg trials were a waste of time, right?
Not at all, but that was an entirely different situation.
Look, if Bush were brought up on charges and tried before a world court, I would be Cheering as loudly as anyone else.
All I'm saying is,... It'll never happen.
growing the white powder plant.
And neighbors to Rev. Moon's million acres too.
You could grow a lot of interesting profitable stuff on 1.1 million acres.
I suggest the DEA immediately agent oranges the whole area in January, and bankrupts the criminals.
Does anyone other than me remember that when they gave his summer reading list in about 2005, he said that over the summer he was reading, "The Stranger", by Camus. I promise you that I am not making this up. I also promise you, as if I had been his constant companion that entire summer, he did not. He read instead, "Horton Hears a Who".
Unfortunately, for me an many other residents of the Dallas area, George is coming home to Dallas to live. Yuck! He even convinced a fine Methodist University to allow the "Bush Liberry" to be built on its campus. Guess the NCAA giving SMU the "death penalty" was not cruel enough punishment.
He Can WRITE????
Are they going to indict his co-conspirators too? Please say yes!
I also think Matalin may not be living in an alternative universe. She blinked an awful lot when stating Bush will be go down in history as a "remarkable" (yikes!!) President. I think she knows the truth and is lying because that's her job.
"there is an un, ah unrecorded and unreported lately how long that recovery was that economic recovery right up to this last incident here which he warned against."
Yeah, everything was just peachy fine, up until it all turned to s**t.
firesale everything and not expect it to take a while.
It was remarkable in it's corruption, incompetence, cronyism and arrogance.
Yessir, they certainly were memorable. I would pay to forget them.
"Homeland" is a Texas colloquism. But what a tacky, tacky name for a US agency. Anyone want to bet the first thing the new administration does is change that tacky name and redo that entire department? Any ideas for a new name?
I think the only thing you need to do is to try and think back and recall just one major achievement of the Bush Adminstration. Forget about all the bad stuff, just think about one major achievement?
I really cannot name one. The only thing Bush can say is that the U.S. has not been attacked in another major terrorist attack. I would say that is positive, but that may be more that the terrorists have not really tried, as opposed to Bush stopping them.
Other than that for the last 8 years I cannot think of one single achievement. Economic, foreign policy, environmental, healthcare, education...? None, zero!!!
They didn't need to. BushCo and CheneyDyne did all their work for them.
Look at the record, economy in shambles, world credibility at nil, ability to project power at nil. Let's face it, under Bush the terrorists did, in fact, win.
um, wasn't he the driving force behind.... Wasn't he the one that.... Ok, you win, just don't gloat.
Ok, gloat.
Peace,
John
Is because the terrorists got what THEY wanted. They brought the U. S. to it's knees and we've been paralyzed with fear to live our lives.
Other major cities have been subjected to terrorist attacks. They realize if they do major overhauls of their lives, the terrorists win. They prepare, not to try to prevent an attack, but how to mitigate and keep going.
We stopped living our lives on September 11, 2001, and have been paralyzed with fear ever since.
As the idiot Obama bemoaned in his closing statement in the first debate, shrubbie did drop the ball on the Monroe Doctrine and allowed Latin America some freedom to pursue self determination for once. Notice I said some freedom, I am aware of the shenanigans involving the attempted coup in Venezuela, but for the most part shrub actually was good for them, all of which Obama seems to be planning to undo. Other than that not much unless you are in his millionaires club, you did pretty well too.
Major accomplishments:
No Child Left Behind
Department of Homeland Security
PATRIOT Act
Color-coded terrorist warnings
Stole 2 elections
Initiated 2 wars of aggression
Violated Geneva Conventions
Guantanamo Bay
etc etc
need I say more?
Looking for positive achievements... zero!
Flew over N'Orleans during Katrina
Enriched Halliburton
Ignored the economy
Oversaw the loss of thousands of manufacturing jobs.
Broke the unions
Ignored the Iraq Commission
Dismantled constitutional protections for all citizens
Divided, divided, divided
..is that he did exactly what he and his neo-con friends set out to do:
- Consolidate the wealth and power of this nation in the very few,
- spread hegemony, steal important resources (Oil), and construct
more permanent military bases in the ME
- decimate the middle and lower classes, limit civil liberties and
exert more government control over everyone (FISA, NSA, HSA)
- and not go to jail for doing any of it!!!!
Dont forget that little incident of UNSOLVED domestic bio terrorism.
Over seven years later and still the US Gov still dont know (or care) who did it.
Or wont admit who did it.
Two failed expensive wars, one case of domestic economic terrorism, ie the collapsed US economy.
Oh and OBL is still running around on the loose.
heckvajob Chimpy.
The best possible vantage point I would like have would be the Nuremburg court room where the last war criminals were judged rather harshly. This administration flunks the Nuremburg test completely.
After Matalin's delusional defense of the Bush Administration Gregory can't bring himself to argue with her. She is yesterday's tragic news.
Matalin, Buchanan, Bachmann, Karen(big foot)Hughes, etc. have simply forgotten how to tell the truth. I will truly enjoy every second of these people's misery tonight. I'm off to Indiana....see you folks tonight.
for entering into matrimony with this 'ho.
You forgot Ann Coulter and my favorite Katherine Harris. One more you might not know but she's as wingnutty if not more, Virginia Foxx from NC's fifth district.
Gregory said to Matalin, "I'M COMING." Aarrgh, scarey.
Apparently both Gregory and Carville have a thing for bonking NUTCASES! I'm pretty sure that's what keeps Carville interested.
I don't know how Carville can stand to be with this woman(?).
I wouldn't be in the same room with her unless I was armed with a wooden stake and a hammer. Oh, and a crucifix on a garlic necklace too.
she has to be with him too~! I would say they deserve eachother, if only in a Halloweeny kind of way.
Even the ugliest man in the GOP still has a choice of good-looking women. Whereas Carville has slim pickings because the women in the Democratic Party have far more options.
One of the best things about the end of this presidential campaign will be that Carville/Matlin won't be appearing on my TV screen for a while.
She is the worse of the two, however. Remember, she made the book deal for the Smear Job on Obama called "Obamanation."
She's an absolute disgrace.
...that one should never underestimate the power of the pussy. I wouldn't do a gooper with someone else's snappah, myself. The thought makes me ill.
when did Mary go Goth?
http://quizfarm.com/images/114855357510981126...
at least find a lumpy chunky bride of frankenstein goth
one that isnt cute
Remarkable for it's complete INCOMPETENCY.
I saw the movie "Boogieman" last weekend, a movie about the life of Lee Atwater and the despicable things he did while working on Republican campaigns. If you have the chance, go see it.
Matalin is in the movie, and comes across as the only person who is completely removed from reality. She would not veer off of her talking points. Not even about a guy who died quite awhile back or about events that happened over 20 years ago! Even Ed Rollins managed a few moments of humanity, but not Matalin - she won't face reality or say an honest word - EVER.
She has to say something, after all, no matter how stupid or delusional. If she says nothing, they won't bring her back and she might have to get a real job.
The entire planet [and I can say that without hyperbole] wants the chimp's head on a platter. The only people still left in his corner are delusional morons like yourself and... well ok it's just the delusional moron crowd.
The sooner the chimp goes into hiding and takes the fascist freak show with him the sooner the rest of the world can get on with the business of moving forward.
It's time to evolve. Sorry, no chimps or chimp cheerleaders allowed on the bus. But hey there's a puddle of mud over there for you to play in.
See ya, wouldn't want to be ya.

What a fucking waste Gregory is. He just let that crazy woman spew lie after lie.
he just grinned and traded salutations
that deserves a 'sheesh!'
He never does.
He had a decent mini run when he covered the White House during the McClellan years, but now? Just a chicken shit shill.
Leads one to become delusional. You cannot stop telling lies since once you understand that the past 8 years have been based on lies your world will fall apart.
All these wingnuts, Bush included, cannot give up on the lie.
But tomorrow morning they will have the hard slap of reality.
Ms. Matalin.
In what universe?
In a parallel universe, he had twin sons!
Aghhhhh!
.
... That a sitting President can Lie to Congress about WMD's.
... That a sitting President can Lie about ties to al-CIA-duh.
... That a sitting President can Lie about an imminent threats.
... That a sitting President can Lie about smoking guns and mushroom clouds.
... That a sitting President can Lie about following Congressional intent on legislation.
... That a sitting President can Lie about warrants for wiretapping Americans.
... That a sitting President can Lie about TORTURE, RENDITIONS, ILLEGAL DETENTIONS.
... That a sitting President can Lie about false patriotism.
Yep, pretty remarkable, I have to agree.
Even more remarkable is how he's been supported by the likes of Mary and the MSM and Congress...
.
The hijacking of the DOJ.
the NEOCONs will try to influence history. the conflict in iraq was in the works before 9-11. if done properly as the military experts/models suggested the war should have been over a few years ago.consider how troops are treated when they complete their tour. then you look at Katrina/Rita. look at how the
executive branch treated the legislative branch(filibuster/signing statements). look at the BUSH tax cuts. look at the continuation of financial deregulation. look at the MEDICARE drug bill with NO competitive price bidding. look at theDOJ. look at the manipulation of 'global warming' data. look at TORTURE. look
at the great influx of CHEAP labor. look at the tax cuts for owning a gas guzzling SUV. look at the BAILOUT. manipulation of the elections.
BUSH was a failure for most of us. mary can spin it how she wants. we all know the truth.
I'll be more worried about them NOT being in power, not being in the spotlight. These scurrilous fuckers need to be put down. For GOOD.
The fight will never end to keep corporate media from rewriting history. The country simply cannot afford for Bush's legacy of corruption and evil to be 'massaged' the way Raygun's abysmal record was. Push back. Speak out at every opportunity or we'll face some rethug in 10 years lauding the 'successes' of the Bush years.
.
R E M E M B E R:
Mary Matalin collects a paycheck to cheerlead!
.
Then shouldn't she be braless?
At her age, NO!!!!!!!
It would certainly prove the theory of gravity,
Since after all,
Gravity is ONLY a theory.
these people, though entirely discredited, just keep getting called on to continue to lie to our faces.
of course, Gregory or Hannity would have to be the ones to bring her sorry ass out. mary the madwoman and her hubby, carville the betrayor, should come out as a tandem to reveal the subteranean elements behind the worst of the Dems and repugs.
it would be so much easier.
owed you Heather for all your fine video work. How many h/t's have you received? Re Matalin. She really does believe that George Bush is a great president. This is an illusion so fragile that it must invitably result in a complete emotional breakdown by about 9 o'clock this evening
What kind of mushrooms does she eat? This idiot is an escapee from the insane asylum!
Watch out for revisionist history it never matches reality and memory.
.
... That Corporate MSM hearts bad Government.
.
I had tuned in a little early to catch Matthews and caught this exchange. It made me ill when Matalin invited Gregory "down to the farm." I wonder if David will go with his favorite dance partner, Karl Rove.
I wonder if Walter Cronkite, who turns 92 today, ever got invited to spend time with republican spin-meisters?
His job as an objective journalist was far more important in terms of maintaining objectivity of the people he had to cover.
In other words, Cronkite was a journalist with INTEGRITY. People like David Gregory and the whole gang at Fox Noise cut class the day integrity was being taught.
Uncle Walt would bitch-slap em.
Please. McCain's campaign of running against Bush's record was his only hope. That's precisely why he's losing right now, because he's seen as the heir to Bush. Please.
Bush will go down as the most ineffective, corrupt, clueless POTUS we've ever had. He's worse than Nixon in that at least Nixon was fairly smart and knew what he was doing. Bush's great legacy will be his astounding cluelessness. Dumbest. President. Ever.
Our long, pathetic 8 years is almost over. Thank God.
What happened to this curious creature?
Dropped on her head as a child? Exposed to a particularly twisted Republican professor in college? Given John Birch literature as a teen?
Utterly amazing.
Bush is toxic. A loser. An abomination. And, most of all, a gross historical aberration.
So Bush chewed free from the straps that secured him to the bed at the mental ward to endorse McShame
Iraq has never attacked America, nor has ever threatened to attack America. Yet, we have attacked and utterly destroyed a sovereign nation in an ILLEGAL war never sanctioned by the United Nations.
I have spoken with several people living outside the U.S. and believe me, they are very angry at the United States. Sadly so. It makes me frustrated that the rest of the world hates me and my family because of the evil my government has done WITHOUT my permission. How many American citizens were given a chance to approve or disapprove this bloodbath in Iraq? That's right, NO ONE! It's called "tyranny." America's government is out of control, recklessly spending and borrowing, attacking innocent nations, murdering millions of people, lying and betraying the American people.
Where are all those weapon's of MASS DESTRUCTION anyway? Hmmm.
Our troops were sent into an illegal war, a war built on lies of the greatest magnitude. Weapons of mass destruction, chemical weapons, links to Al Qaeda, imminent threat to homeland America – ALL LIES!They were sent there against the wishes and opinions of the majority of the citizens of the world. Mr. Bush brings our loved ones home in “transport tubes” in the dark of night. He has not attended a single service for those he has sent to their deaths. We need Mr. Bush to know that he will be held accountable for the reasons for which he sent our children to war.
He should be in jail- ASAP-for war crimes, war profiteering, torture, illegal spying and on and on and on. He has no decency, no moral, remorse or a heart. McNasty is the same -
I am not sure what I am missing but exactly what economy were we recoving from? The Clinton years? He warned aginst this milt down? OMG amazing. I just want to scream.
In the sense that Nero's time as Emperor was remarkable.
strung tighter than shrink wrap over a hot bowl of soup!
And that tool, Gregory, first apologizing to her that he had to do a bit on Obama's grandmother dying first (did anyone else cathch that?) then boot licking for an invite to their Louisiana mansion.
She's giving Joan risvers a run for her money but her lips barely move.
Absolutely incredible. It reminds me of Harriet Miers saying that George Bush was "the most brilliant man" she's ever met. If anything sunk her nomination as a Supreme Court Justice, it wasn't the fact that she was a Bush hack who had never even held the post of judge at a frikking DOG SHOW...it was the fact that she clearly had no "judgement" abilities at all.
Do you remember when the dot-com bubble burst, and all of those highly paid dot-com executives went from being millionaires back to being regular people overnight? The shrinks had a field day with it, holding group therapy sessions on how to deal with no longer being a powerful millionaire, and how to accept the reality that you're not really special, exceptional, or extraordinary at all. Well...I think there are going to be a lot of Republicans signing up for those sessions starting next week.
.....It reminds me of Harriet Miers saying that George Bush was "the most brilliant man" she's ever met. If anything sunk her nomination as a Supreme Court Justice,.....
Harriet's best friend from Austin, Priscilla Owen, IS on the Texas Supreme Court. In Texas, they refer to Judge Priscilla as Boogie Woman, apparently because she was the other half of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Might still be, for that matter, considering they are such a secretive bunch.
I guess they will all be folding up the Stars and Stripes now -- and putting up their Lonestar flag.
I'm pretty sure they'll be inviting The First Dude of Alaska to come and give the keynote speech at the first convention of The Texas Independence Party.
Clever, arn't they? Trying to escape the indictments, LOL.
The woman is demented.
Aside from her hair something looks very different about her.
that meth was great shit!huh mary?
GOP:
Redefining words through action. "Remarkable" apparently now means galactically criminal incompetent boobery.
I don't know how James Carville taps that nightly...Aargh!!
He's not the only one. Gregory said, "I'm Coming."
With the lights out, shades drawn and blindfolds in place. Applys equally as well to Mary as it does James.
And throw in a fifth of Jack Daniels to boot
It takes a special kind of delusion to believe any of that. It makes me wonder if any of them are headed for a "I'm sick of carrying their water" Limbaugh moment after the election.
This woman, like the great majority of right-wing, self-centered, war and violence-loving ideologues, is an absolute lunatic.
The repulsive chimpanzee (no offense to that species) that slithered into the WH (this is almost literally true- note the disgustingly secretive manner in which this nefarious criminal and his murderous gang were "inaugurated" each time, in 2000 and 2004. Those were pathetic and disgraceful spectacles- like a mafia/mob installation. Hardly the stuff worthy of a large, "democratic" country) since the "Felonious 5" of the Supreme Court (I use Vincent Bugliosi's words) slapped an entire nation and its Constitution by subverting the national election- has destroyed economies, shredded the Constitution, slimed civil rights, tortured and terrorized human beings, made the U.S. an absolute laughing stock and a deeply hated nation before the world, and, most of all, killed more than a million innocent human beings.
This monster is a killer of a very high magnitude, comparable only to the worst in history. It is only deeply tragic that there seems to be no accountability for crimes of such mind-boggling magnitude. The Jeffrey Dahmers and other run-of-the-mill killers cannot hold a candle to this arrogant, sadistic, heartless killer.
Remarkable "Prezduncy," indeed! Only the completely irredeemable fools- the kind that showed up at the McCain-Palin rallies and spouted unimaginable racist and bigoted hatred towards people of color, women, the poor and the old- would see this massive worldwide disaster as remarkable.
The collective curse of reviled humanity should befall these rogues, and give them endless nightmares the rest of their blighted lives.
Hahahahahah....oh god that's too funny...hahahahaha..ohhh my stomach hurts. Matalin....hahahahahaha...oh god make it stop.....hahahahahaha....Bush's presidency...hahahahahahahaha....hoo hoo hoo hoo...oh!!! ouch it hurts make it stop!
Methinks her choo-choo hath jumped the track.
Professor of History and Art at Colombia University, Simon Schama has a different opinion:
Nowhere man: a farewell to Dubya, all-time loser in presidential history
Take a good look, this is what republican brain lock looks like..very sad. She's given her brain and thinking to the repub.party. No hope for her and her kind...but!....they are dying out fast.
Matalin will never change. For her, its always about the man in office. Never the principle for which the nation stands. She is like a peasent loyal to a king.
This is admittedly a difficult concept to grasp, but she is being 100% sincere. You have to look at it from the neocon viewpoint. Bush and his family and their friends and cronies and all the other rich bastards benefitted wildly from the last eight years. Tax cuts for the rich, tax cuts for oil companies, slashed environmental & safety enforcement, the creation of a national police agency (DHS/TSA). They were successful beyond their wildest dreams, and Bush's work on their behalf was masterful. Ayn Rand is probably having orgasms in her grave wishing she were alive to see it. Hitler's ghost is taking notes in case he's ever reincarnated.
That's what we're fighting against. Until we all understand that, we cannot fight effectively.
Zach,
I beg to differ.
She is not being sincere.
She is being disingenuous.
She does not grasp the fact that we know she is being insincere.
If anything she is fooling herself about our awareness,
but not about George W. Bush being a “pretty remarkable candidate”. She knows this to be false.
Yet... for her next book deal or paid appearance she must bow to the powers that pay her to be disingenuous.
I meant "president" not candidate...yikes!
republicans rule NOT govern. more of a authoritarian rule. BUSH would NOT listen to the legislative
branch and they would NOT listen to the military on how to invade/take Iraq. WHY? it's occupation for
resources and POWER in the region. the NEOCONs want to be their for 100 years.
i'll remember BUSH for SIGNING STATEMENTS more than any administration.
i'll remember BUSH for BUSH TAX CUTS that mccain opposed before accepting.
i'll remember BUSH for veto and pushing for filibuster.
i'll remember BUSH for his ongoing defensive posture and terrible syntax.
i'll remember BUSH for allowing huge influx of cheap labor.
i'll remember BUSH for gitmo and TORTURE
i'll remember after the bush administration came OBAMA
one should never underestimate the power of the pussy. I wouldn't do a gooper with someone else's snappah, myself. The thought makes me ill. - MsJoanne
Ok...I had to go out and have a smoke after reading that one.
matalin is one f#cked up C # N T
So, most historians usually agree that Warren G. Harding was the worst President ever; however, after GWB, they are going to have to revise this list. GWB definitely is the worst. President. ever.
Matalin is drinking the kool-aid. I wonder if she has a pair of black Nikes ready to be worn tonight.
she does have three inch black nipples
from self-abuse
Nipple-clamps?
Woodrow Wilson was a disaster as President yet he has been anointed by historians as great.
So I worry that future historians will listen to Matalin and not to the truth.
Because it features the spewing of Lady MacCheney.
And other Bush idiots.
not a bit of it! marys the bread winner now in the family tomorow baldy will take over paying the bills in the carville team!
Bush was such a bad president that a black guy has a serious chance at the presidency.
In just eight short years we have slaughtered 10s of thousands.
We have lost our constitutional rights to privacy.
We have lost our constitutional rights to justice.
We have lost our ability to speak freely.
We have lost our homes and our jobs.
Many Americans lost their lives.
All Americans have lost their nerve.
Our press has become emasculated.
Yes.
Remarkable.
If you think about it, we've lost most of those things a long time ago. The real achievement of the bush admin was that they did these things openly or got caught doing them and there were no consequences.
The real hallmark of the bush years will be to mark when there was OPENLY no more accountability for the rich or powerful enough.
It does not surprise me at all this comment. There is such an extraordinary disconnect between these folk and any semblance of reality (and it's not based on any lack of biological intelligence).
They don’t do evidence. It isn’t who they are. They prefer faith to reasoned thought; binary fairy tails to complicated scenarios; insular aggrandizement to planetary curiosity of any type.
It’s all very surreal….
After watching that clip my first thought was how does carville sleep with this and then it was very evident.
What we have today in our pollitical system are a majority of people that are only there for the money.
They have spent their whole life studying about working in and around the pollitical arena and all for one end? The money. They are willing to say anything spin anything in a matter to either make themselves look good, or someone else look bad.
It is the main reason we are where we are right now.
With influence peddeling by lobbyests and the big money shake down of the people, in everything from jobs, the stock market or as I like to call it the ponzi scheme, to this war, to the war on terror, I would say that 95 % of the work done by our so called government has been to benifit the fewest number of people. It is this type of influence we must remove from pollitics if our country is to survive!
How does your idiocy grow?
With broken bells and cockamamie sells
And hideous lies all in a row.
So what kind of "remarkable" are we talking here? Hoover-like remarkably bad, or Eisenhower-like remarkably good?
However, looking at her decrepit face, wrenched soul and penchant for propaganda... I am confused, I was under the impression that all the Goebbels' kids died in the bunker in 1945. She is clearly her fathers' daughter...
It takes a very hateful and delusional soul to say Bush was a 'remarkable president'. At one point his approval rating was lower than Nixon's, at 19%. I can't imagine the level of hatred this woman must have to reject the truth, the facts over all these years, and the vast majority of fellow citizens, who can plainly see he was a very bad president, and say something as outrageous as that.
Mary Matalin doesn't drink the Kool Aid...she MAKES it.
My favorite has always been fruit punch...
Why is Matalin still carrying sewer water for Dumbya? She moans like she really wanted to bed Dumbya badly.
Y'know in Iran they just impeached one of their ministers because he had an unqualified doctor.
We can't impeach anyone unless they get a blowjob in the oval office.
Drop dead, asshole.
Mary, you are correct. We were all "there" for eight years...so ask us what we think about Bush's presidency, not some "journalist" who danced with Rove, you silly twit!
I'm glad to see that Mary's knees have healed up to a point where she can walk into the studio to appear, and that her jaw finally loosened up enough that she can speak sentences again.
It's been a long 8 years.
She still seems to be taking it rather hard.
Remarkable is one word for it. I can think of a few others too. And a few for Mary.
We will be looking back at a remarkable presidency...a remarkably horrible presidency.
