Lindsey Graham Wants Some "Action" From President Obama on Iran and North Korea

From Fox News Sunday April 19, 2009. After being shown a group of highly edited clips of President Obama talking about, as Chris Wallace puts it, "apologizing" for previous Presidents, he asks if reaching out to other countries is constructive or just "pandering".
Graham: Well I tell you the fruits of this effort will determine how successful that it is. It doesn't set well with me but he is now my President. The key is can he rally the world to stop the Iranians from producing nuclear weapons? Can he rally the world to do something about the North Korean missile program that is moving forward? Can he rally the world to impose sanctions on North Korea after they kick out the weapons inspectors?
If talking poorly about the past and the United States can do that..uh..good. I don't believe it will. We're looking now for action, not just rhetoric, not political rhetoric. He has a chance and an opportunity and a requirement to do something about Iran and North Korea by getting the world involved, China and Russia particularly. We'll see if he's able to do, to perform that task. That is his job now.
How'd that "action" work out from your buddy G.W. Bush, Senator? Just what type of "action" are you talking about now? We don't need any more cowboy diplomacy from our President. Senator McCaskill points out that the U.S. has been arrogant and she's right. Heaven forbid it offends poor Lindsey Graham's sensibilities. Although he really didn't look like his heart was in it today. Usually he's so animated he looks like he's ready to jump out of his chair. Maybe repeating all those talking points day in and day out is finally starting to wear on him.

I would also like for the world to pull together in support of President Obama's effort to stop Iran and North Korea from developing nuclear weapons. But there are several factors that need to be considered:
Iran is run by a reactionary theocracy that to this day,( and very probably always will,) very much bears a grudge against the United States for meddling in its internal affairs by assassinating Mossadegh in the 50s and putting the Shah in power in his place. That was an inexcusable offense, and one that the Iranian mullahs and many of its people will never forgive. And that currently, the maniacal, fire-breathing Ahmadinejadh, is the elected President of the sovereign nation of Iran. Ahmadinejadh, as you may recall is the guy who casually stated that Israel is to be wiped off the map and who today caused European members to exit the UN chamber where he was attacking Israel as being racist. The Europeans chose not to listen to him and walked out on him rather than stay and support what he was saying which was racist itself, something that the conference was intended to find ways to dismantle. Iran is the country whose mosques all have banners of "Death to Israel" and "Death to the United States" in them. It's just the picture of a fine, Holy country it is! Yes, Mr. Graham, I would like for all the world to stand up to Iran and North Korea and prevent those countries from developing nuclear weapons but what if support by the world at large continues to make significant gains and even attracts the likes of heavy weights like Russia and China, and then Iran and North Korea still continue on their present paths? So, what then, Mr. Graham? We are dealing with some maniacal and unstable personalities and they exercise a lot of political force in their countries. As long as their people continue to support them, they will continue along the paths that they have been on unless there is incentive for them to change directions. But that will have to come from within and trying to force it from without will probably not change anything at all in this case. World opposition against Nazi buildup and aggression didn't prevail until Germany was completely militarily and physically and economically subdued. This time, the tableau is very different and the world has evolved so that the change will need to happen in Iran and North Korea themselves for there to be significant and lasting change and peace may become possible. Mr. Graham, you may state that the matter has to be forced, but the change of Iran and North Korea's politics will have to come from within somehow. I'm not just talking about their pursuit of nuclear capability. I'm talking about their position vis-a-vis their neighbors and the world at large. When will they join the rest of the world in dialogue and start acting like responsible parties? That, hopefully, is what diplomacy may help to encourage. That's really the only way to engender international change and cooperation. President Obama is the first and only American President so far to attempt to solve some of the world's horrible and possibly catastrophhic problems with diplomacy, by attempting to start some kind of a dialogue. Sure, nothing is "off the table:", but at least President Obama is trying to start some kind of dialogue which is always the first necessary step in any conflict resolution.
The man was a 'tea-baggers' before FOX ever heard the term and what it meant. You'd think that he'd have 'twittered' one of 'em to let 'em know.
The politicians who propose these slaughters will be required to be commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the first combat troops deployed.

But of course this Corporate Empire has it's feet planted in all foreign countries and can survive after they have destroy our country and stolen all our wealth.. They are now finishing their thief of our wealth by given our money to the Global Empire and putting it on a credit card in our children's name.
By sending our manufacturing plants , jobs overseas and stealing our wealth & resources they have received every dream this Global Empire has been asking for many years. They no longer pay their taxes , they keep their wealth in foreign banks to conceal , they not longer have to pay for their employees benefits , but in fact they are given their workers money back which the workers have worked for.
This is by our government demanding that we place our wages into their 401 plans under their control and we now see how this have turn out..
So now they pay no money for their worker's retirement and health benefits. They are now eyeing up our our road system for to own and we pay them a toll to use our roads.. They also are eyeing up our social security funds as well as the Medicare which is the only safety net our workers have. If we really believe they can do a better job then our government has done in the past,,, then just look at the stock market disaster , the price of gas , price of insurance of any type we pay now. Look what they have done to the price of our food.. Not only have they cut the amount of their product , but they price has over double in the past years.
We need control of our jobs , social programs and control of our lives back and The Global Empire & our government should get the h... out..
We also need ?our? government to start being an open and transparent government and give the control of our governments actions and policies back to the people and not the Global Empire and the military....
We give our military 54% of our taxes a years and the military receives as much as all other countries combine..
