Laura Ingraham and Fox's Dr. Siegel Paint Bachmann Migraine Story as Left Wing Attack
Laura Ingraham, filling in for Bill O'Reilly along with one of their pundits, Dr. Marc Siegel painted the attacks on Michele Bachmann as being sexist and that it's just that evil nonexistent "liberal media" and the left wing that are going after her for her problem with having migraine headaches, although Ingraham did bring up what a shame it was that the "very nice" Tim Pawlenty was using it as a campaign issue.
Somehow they both forgot to mention that the story originated on their fellow Fox contributor Tucker Carlson's rag, the Daily Caller. Imagine that? Before either of these two hypocrites go asking why liberal women aren't more outraged at this low blow going after Bachmann, maybe they should give their buddy Tucker a call and ask him who told him to run the story so we can find out who really wanted to undermine her. As Susie already noted here, it's more likely Karl Rove and his organization than the "liberal media" that doesn't want to see her nominated.

Unbelievable. Its like they are the ultimate in spin recycle. Not only do they intend to destroy Bachmann on their own with BS that has nothing to do with questioning her method, but they also turn around and use that stick to beat the democrats and the mythical liberal press.
The difference is the Russians knew that Pravda was propaganda. In the US they make up a scary liberal media to fight and call the strawman the propaganda.
If you watch you will see that noting is discussed but from the starting point of a right wing frame. The big discussion now is ONLY about no taxes and spending cuts.

I have seen your comments on this blog and a number of others I visit. I would say I largely agree with you on vast swaths.
However, in this particular case I must say I relate to milquetoast.
I believe in social programs so I couldn't be a libertarian.
I do believe that big money running the show is our primary problem, worldwide. A problem that goes beyond left and right. Does that make me a non liberal? What am I?
I've watched much Alex Jones. I think much of what he says is verifiable with watching the news and daily life.
I do find his perspective of fear today and things to fear tomorrow not useful so I quit watching. I do think he has some valid points though. I think too many people are stuck thinking inside their particular box.
I was thinking true openmindedness and being willing to step outside the box was a liberal trait but maybe I am wrong.

First to the guy about the attacks abroad. This is not really a straight news site. Though through exposing lies and other bull they do cover some news, that is not really the sites mission. I would suggest NYT or even Huffpo if you can read that silly site (it is just bogged down with adds and the such since it was bought)
Now on to the current issue. Mrs. Bachmann should be attacked for 50 million different reasons, her headaches are not one of them. And truth be told, I have heard more defense of her in "liberal main stream media" than i have on fox. The people i have seen defend her on this issue are Maddow, Olbermann, The loud fat guy who comes on after Maddow. Heck even Bill Maher (the sexist woman hater *rolls eyes*) defended her on last nights show.
This laura Ingram is awful. She has been trying to become the female Rush and Hannity for so long its sad. Her fake christianity is gross her voice is even worse. To say that i dislike this woman would not go far enough. But i guess that just makes me sexist eh Fox?

Whew, at least they haven't stumbled onto the real truth - Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin are androids created in Bill Clinton's secret underground laboratory. They were programmed with the most bizarre combination of political views and historical knowledge that could be devised. The left jumped on the story , true , but so did Karl Rove and many on the Reich who realize that Bachman will ruin their chances in 2012 .

Fox and The Daily Caller are working in concert if not in collaboration. The goal is to unseat the President next year, and to that end they are making sure that a candidate is NOT nominated to the Republican Party that cannot defeat Obama.
The Daily Caller decided to smear or expose (depending upon the actual facts about her migraines) Bachmann to lower her chances of winning the Republican nomination. They know that the Obama campaign would air thousands of commercials of Bachmann being Bachmann (extremist religunut), and she'd lose no matter what shape the economy is in.
My theory is that Beck was pushed out of Fox long before his contract was up because they did not want him using his Fox stage to promote someone like Bachmann and getting her the nomination. Ailes did not want Fox to get blamed for helping nominate Bachmann (or another extremist like Cain) and handing Obama electoral victory on a platter.
It may well have been Karl Rove who did the convincing to Ailes since Rove's adviser, Peter Wehner has been claiming Beck to be bad for the conservative movement for many months.

I wouldn't be surprised if the release of Beck was, in fact, a long-term strategy. After all, we now know due to the inquiry in the UK, that News Corpse was directly involved in the election of the UK MP.

Yet Laura didn't feel the need to point that out or issue a correction. There's also a reluctance by the MSM to use the word "terror" in relation to the Oslo attacks despite the political motivation. I bet if the guy was named "Omar", there would be a flood of terror labels.

Tucker's internet imitation of a yellow journalism rag is responsible for this story. Sure he might have gotten the information whispered in his ear in a public toilet but that's his own business. Karl Rove seems to be the likely source. Let's face it migraines are the least of America's worries if Michele" I've got God on hold" Bachmann gets elected. Can this country handle two first ladies? I'm sure Tim "Gomer" Pylenty is also pushing the migraine story. I even liked Michele back in the day when she tried to give Shrub a tonsillectomy on live TV. Sexytime.
I suffer from migraine headaches. It is a lie to say she can function when she is suffering an attack. If she has migraine headaches she can do nothing. NOTHING! until it passes. And there is no way to force it to pass.
