Jon Stewart on The O'Reilly Factor Round Two
From The O'Reilly Factor, the second half of Jon Stewart's interview with Bill O'Reilly. Topics ranged from global warming, to Iran, to terrorism trials, to whether we should close Guantanamo Bay to Sarah Palin. Stewart didn't do ClusterFox any favors with this half of the interview any more than he did the first half Bill-O aired.

Not that I don't see heavy editing on the interviews on the Daily Show, but it looked like the whole thing was edited question by question, and at least the Daily Show interviews seem to get to some sort of a volley.
(That shouldn't imply that the content was manipulated--the questions and responses themselves seemed to be unedited, though sometimes truncated)
At the end of the first half, OReilly cut away from Stewart disputing that Glenn Beck is the 'everyman'.
Stewart drilled FOX on being FAUX. Bill showed only the lightest stuff on the show.

Goodnight, Frau Blücher
I'm still pondering the moment in the last part of this interview where Jon Stewart was saying that Fox News cut away from Obama's conference with Republicans because it wasn't advancing Fox's narrative. . and then O'Reilly said:
"But how about when we covered ALL of the speech by the Republican winner of the Senate race in Mass when the rest of the media didn't.. HAH! GOT YA. . I REST MY CASE. . ."
LOL. . what case is he arguing? Jon Stewarts?
Furthering the "Brown is the President of the US and all the members of Congress" argument.
Feb. 5: When Bill O’Reilly aired his interview with Jon Stewart, he included several exchanges in which The Daily Show host slammed Fox News for its bias and lack of credibility. Countdown’s Keith Olbermann reveals parts of the interview that didn’t air in which Stewart won arguments with a great deal cogent analysis.

Some stuff you can't make up!
Why would Stewart lend creendence to this clown by appearing with him. His a lying fool and will always deny anything he's ever done. Didn't watch it, don't watch.
And show the Faux Noise viewers, who hear very, very few voices diverging from the GOP-right wing lockstep line, that not only are there other opinions out there, but that the people who hold those opinions are more intelligent than any Faux broadcaster.
It's because Jon Stewart Knows BillO's M.O., and is smart, witty, and quick enough to jujitsu his ass in real time. Notice the heavy editing Fox needed to do before airing this piece. Nobody steamrolls Jon Stewart, and steamrolling is BillO's bread and butter.
It's because we need to take the game to the opponent while the numbers are on our side. In football terms, we need to play field position until we can get schmucks like Reid and Emanuel off the field.
Hey! Great Headline! very informative
and where is the video that Jon "destroyed" Crooksandliars and other blogs.
[Right here-Sitemonitor]
other that I thought jon and bill interview was good and civil
[Here's a link to The Daily Show site for our Canadian readers]
...FOX zombies or anyone else not see through the baseless unsupported ideology of O'Reilly vs the sound logic of Stewart? This will forever mystify me until the day I die. Are wingnuts really this stupid or just living in total denial? Why do these Neanderthals refuse to evolve?
LimpBalls
Stewart kicked his ass but you would never know it the way Fox does propaganda.
Gawker actually compared what Fox shows you to what they cut.
http://gawker.com/5465299/im-not-saying-your-...
After viewing you will understand why they cut some parts out.
on their website
im not gonna hold my breath
Fox posted the real teabagger party footage instead of Professor Beck's 912 wingnut fest.
Because most Fox viewers probably don't understand how to use the intertubes, so it's safer there than on the idiot box.
Jon did well, as usual. O'Reilly, as usual, tried to talk and walk over his guest, barely allowing him to answer the questions. All I can say is, after listening to people like O'Reilly on any given issue, it's clear that right wingers are so WRONG on every issue.
How is it to have someone on your show that is smart and funny? You missed with Dennis Miller. I'm sure BillO will scold his interns for laughing at Jon's jokes.
I am always drawn to the fact of how many things they are missing.
They are always missing the fact that these countries have people in them, people that just want a chance to live and love, maybe raise a family. Some of them want to be doctors, lawyers, teachers, bakers, candle stick makers. We have let greed control every aspect of American life. We have bought into the bullshit, the lies and deceit. America the country that won't admit all the things we have done wrong all the people we have killed and wounded.
Do you realize that we have spent more money protecting the big oil interests in the middle east, then all the oil they have is worth!
We have to empty washington of all but those that are willing to work for the people. But more then that we need to do the job ourselves, like it was intended to be before it was high jacked by the big money boys that have totally fucked up everything they have toughed in the last thirty years.
There can be no excuses these people have to go and never be allowed into government again,
republicanism/conservatism is a mental illness!
which is why he was on
other than for ratings...which for 2 nights finally brought down the avg age of fux viewers below 100, fux can now say that they happily allow on those that will criticize them
which of course isnt true
OH MY GOD SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!!! (the be all end all of debates for conservative)
which as a former native is a great thing
you see, part of any tourism draw is people wanting to go to see what all the fuss is about
so the people of sf would like to thank loofa boy for all the free pub
as for the avg citizen of sf...no, aint much diff between them and someone from charleston (which is not only colbert's home town, but has a ton of other libs residing in it)
I live in SF and my neighbors range from Chinese immigrants to Bob the Plumber with his chevy truck up on cinder blocks in his driveway (no joke). Granted I don't live in the richest part of the city but this is SF, and O'Reilly is IGNORANT (and prides himself in it)
$1000 of my money says that neither Stewart nor OReilly know who Mordechai Vanunu is.
When OReilly pulled out the Jon-is-a-Jew-card to get him to support unethical action against Iran (whether a coup or bombings or sanctions, etc), Jon should have reminded O Reilly that Israel has the fourth most powerful military in the world, after England and China. Iran's got nothing on Israel.
I am glad to see Stewart mention the self-preservation streak in every State.
jon is an american
why should he remind loofa boy about israel's strength?
oh i get it...you think all jews have dual loyalty
so tell me, what is the diff between you and loofa boy
he plays racialism from the right....you do it from the left
and pray tell...how exactly are sanctions unethical?
if the united states started sanctioning israel...why do i have the feeling you would support that 100 percent
One of my dreams has been to engage in a dialogue with Mr. Bill, regarding the Christian Exodus from the so called holy land and Vanunu's FREEDOM OF SPEECH Trial which began 25 Jan. 2006, but so far, i remain the ONLY US media who has bothered to follow it.
However, The Daily Show Correspondents have been a major inspiration for me-so much so, that after traveling to Israel Palestine 7 times since 2005, I finally realized:
We The People must be The Media!
So, tomorrow on You Tube, i will be debuting the first edition of:

I have no clue what you're talking about, keesler. Please rephrase that in a way that makes sense and doesn't sound like it's coming out of Bill's or Cheney's ass.
Stewart was very good....
http://video.foxnews.com/v/4003531/entire-jon...
As long as he doesn't openly support Israel.I've seen the response that gets around here.It would be ironic if some of the same people who post remarks bordering on anti semetic in Israel stories are also fans of Stewart.
I was raised in rural Eastern Oregon. after a long life full of a variety of great opportunities (afforded by our awesome melting pot free market society) I eventually wound up one night in a fancy San Francisco hotel room overlooking the city lights as they bobbed and weaved over the surrounding hills. - I was there to fix corporate bank computers. it was fun.
I have met many, many great Americans to travel that life path.
of course I believe there are humongous differences between residents of Wasilla, Alaska - and San Francisco, California.
however.
there are also many differences in the many cultures comprising the path between Wasilla and SF.
* I * believe ... that as long as those people love their country then *none* of those people ... are "more", or "less", American.
I believe there are differences between Wasilla and SF but I don't believe any of those differences can be used to measure one's "American-ness"
and I think thats where Sarah Palin and Mr. Stewart .. and I *KNOW* thats where Sarah Palin and I .. disagree.
if billo understood any of Jon's jokes. along with being totally shameless you lose your sense of humor when you become a republican.
Dennis Miller is a perfect example, when he was on SNL, he had some funny parts. He had at least one I think it was HBO comedy special that I thought had some funny stuff in it. No Rodney Dangerfield, or Richard Pryor, But he had a few funny moments. But what a change! After he became a fox bot he lost it. But I think it's what I have been saying for a while. Maybe he went off his medication or perhaps the fearmongering after 911 brought out his inner coward? What ever it is he lost his sense of humor and replaced it with the rightwing hatred for the people of America. I think he bought into the greed and then it is only a few short steps and you are over the edge.
republicanism/conservatism is a mental illness!
It's simple really. The powerful making fun of the weak is not funny. It's just being a bully. That in a nut shell is why the right fails at humor.
so CHILL people!! These guys both are profitting from being the select few viewers listen to(not that that's a bad thing)~it does not give them 100% credibility though. I have ALWAYS enjoyed both guys points of view-go figure!!! SO CHILL! PEACE OUT!!!
Choppity-chop-chop-chop!!!
Fair and balanced MY ASS.
way to sweep it under the rug, o'reilly.
first he pumps up the volume, then
ignores it ever happened.
meh, it was a mistake, now, moving on...
