Jon Stewart Knocks Mitt Romney For His Private Sector Job Credentials at Bain
Jon Stewart did what so few in our mainstream corporate media have been willing to do with Mitt Romney's so-called record on "job creation" and his time at Bain Capital and their leveraged buyouts of many of the companies they took over.
Here's Stewart explaining the kind of business Romney practiced in, in a manner most of our Villagers in the mainstream media are apparently incapable of.
STEWART: It's like putting ten percent down on a car, then using the value of that car to get another loan and repay yourself that ten percent and and maybe a little twenty percent... on top for your troubles and then walking away, leaving the car on the hook for the payments.
But, for Bain Capital to borrow money from other people, knowing that those debts might never be repaid, while still profiting themselves, I don't know. I don't know how I feel about that business practice. Does it make anyone else uneasy?
ROMNEY: I think it's simply immoral for us as a nation and as a generation, to keep spending more and more money, by borrowing money from other people knowing that those debts will never be repaid during our lifetimes.
STEWART: I don't know who that ruggedly handsome guy is but I agree one hundred percent. So there you go and his pitch to Americans seems to be, elect me as your president. I have twenty five years of business experience doing something I believe this country should never ever do.

..saw this segment & I was thinking how the American traditional media must hate Jon Stewart.
Jon Stewart performs under the guise of a comedian, yet Jon Stewart is literally the only authentic research, fact-based reporter who has access to TV air time.
The CEO's of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, etc. must bury their heads in hands everytime Jon Stewart does a expose' of this caliber; the aformentioned CEO's raise head slowly & glance around at their stables of pretty boy & pretty girl spokesmodels who couldn't do what Jon Stewart is doing if you paid them $100 million a year.
For all intents & purposes, this specific segment of the Daily Show should forever end any chance Mitt Romney has of being elected president.
But since Wall Street & trans-national corporations have so much money invested in their Mitt-bot, they'll go to great lengths to skewer what Jon Stewart has uncovered.
When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in excess body fat & carrying a misspelled sign.
Thank you!
I'm Boycotting NewsCorp! Heres what not to buy: http://www.cjr.org/resources/index.php?c=news...
night after night, Jon uncovers stuff like this that the MSM totally misses (or simply ignores). It's amazing.
And his delivery of these stories is more often than not hilarious.............
but the comedy is soooooo weak.
But they laugh at it and there are moments of brilliance in each show.
"Banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies." Thomas Jefferson
...at hypocrisy this overwhelming.
The truth is not always funny.
A Republican taking an indignant moral stand against .. something he himself has done !!
Just shocking !
Democracy is too important to be entrusted to politicians.
Rise Up!
Protest!
If we had a DOJ they would prosecute under rico.
...was actually even better, when he showed a clip of Pres. Obama speaking with a woman during a Google "townhall" (or "debate" of whatever it was phrased as) and was much more funny than the Romney clip. A woman told Pres. Obama her engineer hubby was unemployed, and Obama said "that sounds interesting, I'd like to see his resume', please send it to me") to which Jon said "Um...don't you have better things to do?" and called him Pres. Monsterdotcom, and the woman closed out her questions with "I have been told you can dance, I was wondering if" and Obama cut her off, saying, "sorry, no dancing", of which Jon says "The President of the United States just asked for your husbands resume', which you should have said "That's pretty fucking awesome!" but instead you say (twirls finger) "How about you do a little jig there for me?"
Radix Omnium Malorum Avaritia
Your definition of "better" is odd.
Then it would not be so odd
Radix Omnium Malorum Avaritia
He could quickly do a gig...........To which he should have replied "No dancing, I dance like a white boy.......... ...there's a freebee for ya newt, ya need all the help ya can get...........you're sure gonna get me lots of votes".
The first casualty of republicanism is the truth.
Party politics are not only undemocratic, they are antidemocratic.
Yet another prominent conservative throws his considerable weight behind Willard Romney. Priceless lead picture.

Jon didn't even have to rip that toad apart. All he had to do was ask a few questions and you learned all you need to know about fucked up companies like Bain and the damage they do.
Now didn't someone borrow a lot of money and pay it to their company to contract to do work in a war they started based upon stories they told. Now that would be Darth Cheney. The mind only boggles what that Carpet Bagger Romney will be able to when it comes to borrowing money, when he will be able to borrow trillions and give his company Bain Capital a share of the profits whilst of course the public gets to keep all of the debt.
Good segment on O'Donnell's show ( The Last Word ) tonight . American Airlines seeking bankruptcy protection , paying Bain big $ to advise them , trying to screw union workers out of their pensions , pilots , mechanics , the works . A federal agency protecting pensions and headed by an Obama appointee is stepping in saying not so fast , has put liens on American Airline assets not protected by US bankruptcy court to cover the pension $ AA owes it' current and former employees . If this agency were headed by a Republican under a Republicon President what do you think would happen ? As O'Donnell pointed out , this is another example of why voting matters , Presidents make appointments , important ones , we bitch about CU , rightfully so , the traitors on the US Supreme court responsible for citizens united are all Republicon / Reich wingers who were appointed by Republicon Presidents , life time appointments no less .Evidently this is just too complicated for those who say they aren't going to vote , it does not compute .
Kreskin. You are getting to know who is the real enemy.
.....is currently $26 billion in debt, but still guarantees bankrupt private pension obligations.

As stated above, it was the full interview on the show that was outstanding. The whole interview is great but it startings hitting the bone at around 1:40 in part two

Highly recommended
He belongs in prison, not in public life.
All the "financial news experts" who infest the airwaves and none of them could have explained Mitt Romney's vulture capitalism as well as Jon Stewart just did. That leads me to the conclusion that the "financial press" just doesn't want the average American to understand what is going on or how corrupted the system is. "Share prices are up, everything is fine. Nothing to worry about".
If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're gonna get selfish, ignorant leaders.
