Apparently the GOP's favorite fake plumber Joe Wurzelbacher speaking about Nancy Pelosi and saying that "those kind of people I usually took behind the woodshed and beat the livin' tar out of" was a bit hit at Americans for Prosperity's right wing conference that they held as their alternative to Netroots Nation.
It's so nice to see these good self proclaimed Christians having no problem with advocating violence as a means to an end that they would prefer to use. I don't have a lot of use for Mrs. "Impeachment is Off the Table" Pelosi myself, but I find it extremely offensive that someone would even suggest that violence would be a suitable means to get that or any other point across to her.
I'm sure Mr. Wurzelbacher will feign ignorance once called out on this and say he wasn't actually calling for anyone to beat the crap out of Nancy Pelosi. Sorry Joe... or is it Sam? If you put the suggestion out there that this is acceptable behavior, you are advocating violence towards the Speaker. It's unacceptable and given the fringe that's been whipped up into a frenzy these days, it's dangerous. Shame on you.
If you're worried about responsibility, you'd better take some for the words that come out of your mouth.

Obama took office, the war in Afghanistan is escalating, and we're actually in worse shape economically then when Bush left office rather then better shape . . it makes one wonder.

..had we actually gone into Afghanistan to win almost 8 years ago, there's a chance we would've been home by now. If we hadn't gone into Iraq based on lies and innuendo, there's a chance we'd have a better economy than we do now. And most of all, if we actually allowed the military to prosecute wars and not the draft-dodging war criminals, maybe we wouldn't have taken so many casulties in both conflicts and wouldn't have to ramp up the war in Afghanistan at this point.
I would like to see Obama terminate Xe's contract today and then tell us who he'd like to see the DOJ appoint as Special Prosecutor for the War Crimes of the previous administration. But you know, that simple sentence takes SO MUCH energy and I don't know if Obama has the strength to speak those words with all the back-pedaling on the Public Option and all. However, when Bush left the mound there were no outs and three runners left on the bases. It's called a "jam" and the other team led by two runs.
It's not Obama's fault that there are three runners on the bases with no outs. That goes to Bush. If any of those runners come in, then those runs are counted against Bush's ERA. If Obama loses the game and gets out of office in 2012, it's still recorded as Bush's loss. If Obama wins, he'll get the win.
