Jesse Ventura on Palin: I Would Never Vote for Her Because if it Gets Too Hot in the Kitchen, She's Liable to Quit

The straight talking Jesse Ventura hits the nail directly on the head with the problem Sarah Palin's going to have if she aspires to run for higher office.
KING: All right. Let's move to Governor Palin, the former governor, soon to be former Governor Palin. What do you make of her resigning?
VENTURA: She's a quitter. Let me put it to you this way, Larry; by not being sexist, She could never make it as a Frog Man or Navy SEAL. Because if you utter the words in BUDS training, Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Training, I quit, you're gone.
I don't remember one person in my class that quit. I remember every person I graduated with. It offends me over the fact that she told the people of Alaska she wanted to be their governor. And she wanted -- and that's a four-year commitment. And now, right in the middle, she quits?
Well, if she's got plans of running for higher office, I would never vote for her, because if it gets too hot in the kitchen, she is liable to quit.
KING: Do you think there's an underlying reason maybe we don't know?
VENTURA: Well, I don't think she was put under anymore scrutiny with the media than I was as an independent. My children were attacked in Minnesota. Everything I did was put under the microscope.
But the point is, Larry, you don't quit. When you make an obligation and you take an oath, doesn't it mean anything anymore?

Her vision of herself is not the one we have of her. Her looks have brought her a long way, but that road is coming to an end. She refuses to see that. What worked in high school and college doesn't work later in life. Later in life you better have gained skills and some experience as a grown woman if you want to be taken seriously. Cute doesn't cut it your whole life.
And much to her upcoming surprise looks do not last forever.
Women who saw themselves as ordinary when they were young, turn out to be hot in later life. Women who saw themselves as hot in high school, never really get over it, and often become embarrassments to themselves (and other women). That's Palin.
When she started using winks to be flirty, it became apparent to all women and maybe a lot of men, that she was an air head. Think of some great women living and dead, and imagine them winking during one of their speeches. On second thought, don't try because you can't. Women who are to be taken seriously don't flirt because they are so much more than that. Winking and using cute phrasing ends with the last beauty pageant. After that it's time to grow up and grow wise.

One day, when she's old, and in one of her quiet moments, she'll see those videos of her, slightly past it, winkin' and blinkin' in a Vice Presidential debate and cringe in horror. How could anyone not, even Palin. If she doesn't...
Reading your comment almost made me cry because if that does happen to her and she realizes how she looked when she did those things, it will be one of the most embarrassing times or her life and only she will feel the pain.

As a Minnesotan, I'd like to remind Jesse that he is little better. Yeah, he served out his term, but towards the end he was holed up in the Governor's mansion clearly just waiting out the clock. And he didn't run for another term, which in political terms is quitting. I'm sure the Minnesota Independence Party sees it that way...
Palin? Yes, she's a typical crazy Republican, like Kathleen Harris and Michele Bachmann.
But don't go falling for Jesse Ventura. Yeah, he's plain-spoken and that's likable and refreshing. But as an executive he was thin-skinned and paranoid. Let him remain an entertaining talking head, he's good at that.
But not the same at all! His promise to the people was to serve a four-year term as governor, which he did. If he chose not to seek a second term he was well within his right not to! Also, in my mind, it doesn't matter how the Independence Party of Minnesota saw it. He worked for the people of the State of Minnesota and had every right not to "re-up" if that was not what he chose to do. He did, however, honor the commitment he made to the voters of the State.
As being from Mn myself, he gathered up the same voters that Palin brought in. I know, I lived in Bachmanns district which was Rod Grams turf before that. It is birfer country fer sure.
I used to love Jesse as Mayor of Brooklyn Park and used to go to quite a few of his rassling' matches back in the day, but I never voted for him for anything. I even had to vote for his opponent The Crusher in a pose down they had one time at the old auditorium.

She will never run for another office because it is too much work for too little money when all she has to do is talk in front of some crowd of people who will 100% agree with her. One very clear thing that shines through with ex Gov. Jesse Ventura, he has a mind and can hold his own in a multi faceted conversation.

SHE IS QUITTING FOR MONEY she can make in speaking deals and book, but in order for her to make money, she has to keep sad republicans thinking that she will run, that she is their hope, otherwise they won't give their money to her. It's a scam, people, wake up. She will try to make as much money as possible until the next presidential elections, because after that she is over with politically. But who cares? Conservatives don't serve to improve this country, they run to exploit it. She will be rich, that's all that matters to her.
