Chris Matthews brings on J.D. Hayworth and Harold Ford Jr. to talk about the stimulus bill. When Matthews pins down Hayworth on whether we want another eight years like what we had under Bush. Hayworth goes after him for potentially wanting to run for the Senate. Apparently even Matthews who routinely talks over his guests wasn't quite prepared for the thuggishness of J.D. Hayworth.
Apparently Mr. Hayworth's idea of bipartisanship is corporate Democrats voting with Republicans.

C&Ler JC emailed me after he saw this yesterday and said that Hayward must be on a straight diet of FOX News as he went off the rails trying to debate the stimulus plan.
I just watch former Republican Congressman JD Hayworth of Arizona blame the current economic mess on Sen. Chuck Schumer and George Soros. Chris Matthews tried to get him to admit that the Republican policies of the last eight years were responsible. It was like the crazy Minnesota Republican Michele Bachmann moment on Hardball. There is a reason that JD is a former congressman losing in a red state.
Hayworth, the EX-Congressman from AZ. is the perfect example of what the Republican party is. They're a party of insane people parading around with the American flag draped around their shoulders while James Dobson whispers in their ears that gays are trying to destroy the world. Let them obstruct and perform like the sideshow---circus acts that they've become. Bring it on JD, you are the perfect messenger for a message-less and dangerous ideology.

hell I lived in Az. McNut is the leader of the pack. when the officers from the state prison were called (the guard) they were told they would have to serve 1 year, they went to tranning for 4 or 5 months then sent ti Iraq. when they got there there were told there 1 year duty was 1 year in country. there equipment was OLD, they did not have flack vests. one of the officers wife called mcnut and it took about 4 more monthe to get to see him. in the mean time there husbands were getting shot at with crap for equipment. another co I knew told me about getting scrap steel to weld on there trucks because the trucks would not stop a 22cal round. when she finaley got to see mcnut he said he would look into it and the metting was OVER, lasted about 10 min. he had other things to look into, like not paying his taxes in one of his homes in cal.for the last 6 years. hey jd go back to sports, NOT you were not that good.....

The Republicans are hoping for a failure. It is the only way they can win. If this stim bill fails. That is just sick; hoping the country gets more fucked up just so your Party does better. Hayworth reminds me of another former (thankfully) representative, I believe from CA, Bob Dornan, who routinely paraded around the MSM spewing hatred, talking points, and brainless babble. These guys represent a certain "macho" type- obviously lacking in the cerebral department.
More often than not, politics around the world is not the domain of honorable, self-respecting people (with few exceptions). It is a highly lucrative theater for charlatans and rogues, occasionally, or maybe often, mixed with the court jesters and the Neros.
However, it must not be forgotten that Chris Matthews had a huge crush on the mass-murdering, clueless executioner that, over eight interminable years, has driven, with much help, this country and the world to the brink. Many like him are now playing revisionist- maybe for atonement, but more likely, to prevent becoming irrelevant.
I think Dornan eventually burned his bridges with the MSM because of too much hate and craziness. Hayworth hasn't gone that far (by MSM standards) yet.

My favorite part is when Matthews asks Hayworth the simple "yes or no" question of whether or not Hayworth would want to see the past 8 years of economic policies happen all over again. He can't simply say "yes," but rather goes into the previously highlighted accusations--including that of the billionaire, George Soros. After that, Hayworth loses all sight of the question. Thank goodness Harold Ford Jr. comes back to speak sensibly and remind Hayworth that both Republicans and Democrats should wish to see the bill succeed. This is especially true today, when the bill is now linked with this country's economic future.
