Let the abortion fear mongering from the GOP begin on the Nelson compromise. From The Hill -- Coburn: Nelson agreement with leaders 'threw unborn babies under the bus':

A number of Republican senators attacked an agreement reached between Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) and Senate Democratic leaders Saturday, saying it would lead to the eventual reversal of more than 30 years of federal law banning abortion funding.

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Oka.) said it is “absolutely fictitious” that there is an anti-abortion provision in the Senate Democrats’ reworked healthcare reform bill.

“The negotiations, whoever did them, threw unborn babies under the bus,” Coburn said.

[...]

“The abortion language in this bill funds abortion for the first time since 1977,” said Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kansas). “We are told this is a pro-life bill. It is not.”

The agreement reached between Nelson and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will give states the choice to ban abortion coverage or not in the insurance exchanges the legislation creates. The deal will also separate premiums from insurance plans that pay for abortion from federal money.

I'm curious how they get those "unborn babies" under a moving bus while they're still in the womb.

heh

Even if possible or accurate,I assume it would serve primarily to keep said "bus" from rolling down the hill and winding up in a cataclysmic explosion of justifiable feminist ire.

"To me, truth is not some vague, foggy notion. Truth is real. And,
at the same time, unreal. Fiction and fact and everything in between,
plus some things I can't remember, all rolled into one big "thing."
This is truth, to me. "

Well, you can use babies for planes as well.
They are multiple usable. Hell, you can use them for so many things it's mind boggling.

Republicants have been using them to prop up their platform for decades.

Let's see how far to the right they go before they fall off of the edge of this flat world.

Isn't it funny how when these assholes had control of all three branches of gov't and were ramming all their crap through against the will of the people, the GOP never seemed to get around to that nasty abortion issue.

Of course if they did anything to "fix" the abortion issue then they would have nothing to bitch about now. So, as usual, the people who vote for republicans: Your votes are being wasted and your leaders do not care about the issues that you vote for, they only use you long enough to get elected and then they give you (the voter) the finger.

So the next time someone tell you to support a republican, you right wingers should tell them to go jump in a lake...except you people don't know how to read so I don't expect you to be on this blog, learning anything.

You don't make any money without enemies. The GOP Doctrine.

"National Security" information is really political information about Cabalist activities and frauds and corruption schemes.

It's really very simple. In order to hide behind the National Security Act, the United States must have an enemy.

In eight years they never passed a single bill that helped anybody earning less than 200k a year. They are the most worthless people in the country.

From the mixture of their comments and accusations.

-The latest reason to do what republicans demand is abortion now.
That only republicans are "pro life"?

-Tax dollars going to kill the unborn?
How much tax dollars went to killing acceptable casualties of the unborn in Iraq? Why did my tax dollars fund it?

--Lindsey said they have no place to raise their issues or opposition? FOX News which won't give me air time but will give the GOP 24/7. And it was republican Senator Orrin Hatch that was asked to the initial committeee and refused to particpate at all.

--For the opposition/minority party to expect that they should be at the wheel of this legislation, can they think back at the Medicare part D with doughnut hole and the participation they allowed of the opposing minority party? HMMMM?

--When they yap about where tax payers money is going why don't the republicans consider how many Americans wanted their tax payer dollars to go to Wall Street under the GOP T.A.R.P. ?? And why did they do that when Americans did not want it done?

---Oddly and lastly,

When these folks make statements of what the American people want and do not want.
What part of the last couple of elections don't they get?

Andwhy do they imply that as an American myself that I agree with them?

"This process is not legislation. This process is corruption."

True. I can't imagine I'd ever agree with a waste of space and time like him. Unfortunately, he and every other self-centered, self-absorbed asshole in congress refuse to acknowledge or correct their own complicity in the corruption. This starts with the Thugs and ends with the Dems--nearly all of them, in both the house and the senate.

We need socialised medicine, National Health a single payer, universal heath care plan. Not the million page load of bollocks these POSes are fighting over. What wastes of skin they are.

They're wasting our health and money and lives.

will just move to a state that has not. They'll get their abortion and leave the bill behind when they move home. Same will happen when states opt out of a public option. The right will effectively relocate the sick and uninsured to the blue states and let us pay for everything. We always do anyway.

Where is their morality? Nothing but a "political sheild" to cater to far right religious interests. THAT's ALL THE've GOT... and Palin is going to steal that away from them in the next election cycle.

GOP leadership opposes meals on wheels - "socialism," clean water - more "socialism," common sense, and plain human decency.

They plan on introducing an amendment to remove "personhood" status from the citizens, and apply it only to corporations.

Big DICK Armey will lead teabaggers in a Fox televised protest showing their support for the amendment. Teabaggers will be happy to get their country back if it passes.
