Fox's Megyn Kelly Pretends Her Fellow Fox Hosts Have Never Invoked Nazi Imagery
While attacking Rep. Steve Cohen for his truthful statement that the GOP has indeed used the same tactics employed by Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, Fox's Megyn Kelly argued with former Clinton adviser Richard Socarides that Fox News hasn't ever had any of their hosts invoking Nazi and Holocaust imagery.
Socarides noted adroitly that "on the very network that we're on right now, the leading commenters on this network use this kind of language." Kelly shot back: "It's just not true! ... I don't know if you sit and watch our programming every night, but I watch it every day and you're wrong."
As our friends at Media Matters point out, that's just not true.
They've got a long list of examples and I'll just say, go read their post for some rebuttal to Kelly's nonsense.

In fact, as you can see from the video, Beck went on the air later that same day and declared:

Wonder if Kelly was watching. She claimed that she watches Fox's programming and offered that as some sort of proof that her colleagues were telling the truth on the air. All she did is prove that she either doesn't watch her fellow Fox hosts' shows, or she doesn't care that they're as dishonest with their commentary on their programs as she is. I would say the latter is probably the case. Being willing to lie and carry water for Republicans pays pretty well over at Fox and Kelly knows where her bread is buttered.

It is a stretch to divide the technique, and man, from the results of his work.
We have the proof, the historical reference of what unchecked hate-filled propaganda leads to, yes there are other references to be used, but you have to admit that the Nazis were the prototype, and burnt that image into our collective psyche.

Everytime I hear the words "FOX or FOX News" I immediately associate the name with the image of Glenn Beck standing at a chalkboard, waving his arms. when you need them? I've always thought the seemingly inevitable Nazi comparisons are an indictment of our educational systems. We need better education in history. There are largely untapped rich veins of human depravity crying out for use as invidious comparisons when describing your opponents. Any Fox News anchor could be held hostage by a guest who brought a laptop with decent speakers. What would Megyn Kelly do if the guest started playing the 50 examples of Nazi imagery on Fox after she so shamelessly lied? I just think it would a hilarious experiment to watch her panic as the footage is played back for her.
She would probably have their mics cut off and then cut out the footage so it never sees daylight. That's why anchors get away with lies because guests aren't able to come up with specific dates and times on the spot to counter their false arguments. That's what the anchors bet on, the guest getting caught off guard. Very rarely do guests throw out facts and numbers that bust the anchor on the spot.

just please, please, please make them historically accurate. The brownshirts were part of the white, Christian majority.
