As Digby noted, it looks like this is Case Closed -- the Koch Brothers can no longer claim that they're not behind the Tea Party movement or the astroturf group Americans for Prosperity. Here's more from Grist.

Koch brothers’ Tea Party connections confirmed [VIDEO]:

The billionaire Koch brothers have long claimed that they have no direct connection to the Tea Party, denying that their vast oil wealth is directly funding corporate front groups like Americans For Prosperity (AFP), the key organizers of the fake grassroots Tea Party movement.

David Koch told New York Magazine earlier this year, "I’ve never been to a tea-party event. No one representing the tea party has ever even approached me."

But the Guardian reports that footage has emerged showing David Koch at the podium during an AFP gala receiving direct and detailed reports from his astroturf AFP army on their efforts to organize tea parties around the nation.

Watch the clip from the new documentary (Astro)Turf Wars: How Corporate America Faked a Grassroots Revolution.

As Brendan DeMelle noted there, "[w]ith this new footage clearly showing David Koch interacting with his Tea Party foot soldiers, the Kochtopus definitely has some 'splainin' to do."

Because the US media know what side their bread is buttered on... children who don't want to diss their parents.

the link actually has to do with tea party inspired violence, so cut me a break.

oligarchy, plutocracy, bourgeoisie, class war ---- we are all peasants to these people, and they are our lords and masters. i guess that the only response is to suffer through it, my fear is that we are looking at a generational struggle, where the flame of freedom and decency is preserved by the few. what is going on here is just horrible, maybe my link is not that far off as during the dark ages the church and the nobility fed the serfs all kinds of mumbo jumbo to justify their oppression of them.

Seems the non-politician GOP/T lie with the same care as the politicians.

I'm sorry, but your rhetoric sound hateful and mob-like.

How about just working on and offline to ensure that these bastards can't buy our republic?

The John Birch Society was founded in 1958 by retired candy manufacturer Robert W. Welch Jr. (1899–1985). The Welch candy company was founded in 1927. They produced "Sugar Daddy" candy, among others. The company was sold to Nabisco in 1963.

One founding member of the Birch Society was Fred Koch, founder of Koch Industries, one of the largest private corporations in America. His sons carry on the business. (Wikipedia)

Sadly, we need video evidence to make liars out of people in this country.

Can't wait till people find a way to debunk visual evidence that's used in these cases

It matters not how much the truth or facts emerge - the braindead TEA party nitwits won't believe their own ears, even.

This clip is a great example of how far and how fast we have fallen and they have gall to blame everyone except the big money backing their little ole' causes... Do tell, do tell.

Great footage and sound track. This video is as chilling to watch as the Brooks Brothers Protesters back in Florida back when those chads were being counted.

Here's a 2003 thread talking about Koch brothers and Koch Industries ties to Bush:

Here's another video with Russ Baker talking about campaign finance reports and the Bush Family:
