Morning Joe consists of about six hardline neocons and then there is Mika, who is supposed to be the progressive mascot, who simply plants kisses on Joe Scarborough's ass and apologizes for Democrats and progressive guests.

The only thing I have ever found myself agreeing with Ed Schultz is his stance on single payer medical reform. On every other issue, he seems to be nothing but a parrot for the Dem establishment. On his radio show he was basically saying how Obama was correct on not releasing the torture pictures, which made me very sad. As I realized that blind partisanship of any persuasion is just not healthy.
I do not like it when Limbaugh et al do it for the repugs, and I don't like it when the supposedly dem hosts do it for the dem administration when said administration is in the wrong.

This is what our country has been devolved? A Democratic party that all it can do is roll over when they are in the opposition (and now even when they are in power it seems), and a republican party who does not understand the term compromise on any subject. If that is the case, we only have a single party in this country: the republican party.

Why not just divide the detainees up so there will not be large numbers concentrated in one place? Are terrorists going to go through all the trouble trying to bust out one or two people here and there? The fact that we have many terrorists incarcerated throughout the US already in which no such attempts to bust them out have been made is your answer.
It just isn't, in my opinion. I love Ed, but when Joe says "take a look at the tape when you're back in the office" etc. and says he's not saying that Democrats are calling for her to resign, Joe's right. I can't believe I've defending Joe, but how is Ed's point not a strawman?

I want Pelosi removed (and I have e-mailed her several request to step down) simply because she refuses to do her duty. She is supposed to uphold the constitution so that means she is required by that same constitution to hold investigations and hearings to uncover any crimes by whatever administration might be in power at the time and if evidence is produced then we remove the criminal administration. Hell, impeachment is in the constitution 6 times!!! I think they founding fathers wanted us to use it!

Ed is either being naieve or just plain stupid. The shift in Obama's policy regarding torture is a huge damn issue to me. There is no nuance to the fact that we need transparency. You either have transparency or you don't its just that simple. We need the inmates given trials, not a continuation of the indefinite imprisonment doctrine. We need Obama to stop adopting the positions of Bush. We voted for change, we didn't vote to continue Bush era policies. We need the reaffirmation of the constitution and constitutional principles as the supreme law of the land. We need the supreme court to reaffirm that the consitution can not be ignored in times of crisis. We need Obama to stop standing in the way of the change we voted for. Its time to start prosecuting these war criminals. All progressives need to get onboard or start admitting that they are more loyal to the D label rather than the ideals that Obama campaigned for. This President's about turn is just simply discpicable. Who the hell cares if you tear down the Guantanamo concentration camp if you simply move the same practices that made this camp so deplorable to other locations. Continuation is not change. I agree that the left is angry that Obama is taking it easy, or quietly if you will, about closing those tribunals, about backing away from torture and wiretapping and bush tactics, and allowing his rhetoric to constantly over-indulge and white-wash the shady dealings that are going on in reality. I'm angry about those things, and I'm getting doubtful from it, but I feel like Obama still needs more time before we can authoritatively say that the 'change' was just a campaign wash. He may pull through on those things. He's acting like a coward right now though. He should step up on Don't Ask Don't Tell. He tries too hard to be non-partisan.

Why doesn't Cheney go under oath with congress? Sen Pat Lehey would welcome Cheney under oath in his committee.

I remember just prior to the Obama inauguration the news was reporting that Cheney was working his boss Bush really hard to grant pre-emptive pardons to himself and the entire administration to protect them from being brought to justice for the torture they had committed.
This is what the issue is, justice, truth, and the American value system being absolutely rejected, ignored, and abused by the Bush administration.
Now, this issue about Pelosi is being used to again divert attention away from cold, hard fact. The fact is that Ms. Pelosi is NOT my favorite democrat ... she lost all my respect when she took impeachment off the table! But, despite my anger, mistrust, and dislike for this woman, nothing she has said, done, or implied regarding what the CIA did or did not tell her has any effect on my attitude about her.
I know from personal experience that the CIA is dishonest to the American people ... why should the BUSH CIA be expected to be more honest than President Bush? He was the epitome of a lying sack of shit, and his whole administration went along lock step with his bullish demands or they were shown the door. I believe therefore that the CIA was instructed to give congress a cover story and that the briefer who spoke with Pelosi and others in congress followed their instructions and did EXACTLY AS THEY WERE TOLD TO DO.
Even if Pelosi is not being honest, which is the greater sin: being lied into a pre-emptive war in which hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi children and women have been killed and close to 5000 American soldiers have died, or Pelosi incorrectly stating that the CIA was less than forthright when they briefed her?
I submit that the bigger lie perpetrated upon the country for eight years of the Bush dictatorship is the bigger sin. Too bad the water carriers and facilitators extraordinaire of the Bush administration who call themselves Morning Joe newsmen don't give a damn about the truth or good of the country ... all they seem to care about is the politics of covering the ass (bullying tactics) of the Bush administration.
Sad this is true, but Morning Joe and the entire lot of so called journalists on that show are a total waste of time and I for one made the decision long ago to just turn them the hell OFF!
