Michele Bachmann is again the subject of Ed Schultz's Psycho Talk for her appearance in Denver CO. From The Colorado Independent-- Bachmann: ‘Slit our wrists, be blood brothers’ to beat health care reform:
In a fiery speech that had her conservative Colorado audience cheering, U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann railed against the dangers of health care reform and other Democratic initiatives, warning the proposals “have the strength to destroy this country forever.”
“This cannot pass,” the Minnesota Republican told a crowd at a Denver gathering sponsored by the Independence Institute. “What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists, be blood brothers on this thing. This will not pass. We will do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn’t pass.”
“Something is way crazy out there,” Bachmann said in her remarks, billed as a “personal legislative briefing” by the Golden-based Independence Institute, which bills itself as a “free market think tank.”
“This is slavery,” Bachmann said after claiming many Americans pay half their income to taxes. “It’s nothing more than slavery.”
In a speech filled with urgent and violent rhetoric, Bachmann — who proudly acknowledges she is the country’s “second-most hated Republican woman,” behind only former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin – drew a clear line on health care reform.

That, is the GOP health care proposal. I think anyone that approves of her, needs to become a vocal and open follower. That way, the folks that come around in the cookie truck will find them much easier. Some will be drained with the cat enjoying a morsel, or the dog walking around the house with a joint in it's mouth. This is the kind of option the GOP are saying their opponents want, but it is only the GOP that you find saying it. Must be their kind of party.

I attended a "Health Care Reform" meeting with a group of doctors and others at Rep. John Olver's office here in Pittsfield about a three weeks ago. He supports H.R. 676 and he let us (and the rest of his district) know that he would NOT be having any town hall forums in The Berkshires. This has ticked a lot of people off.
Now we have two tea bagger groups holding town halls in practically every town and village in The Berkshires on Health Care Reform without any official representatives present and the main thrust of their agenda is to "KILL THE BILL."
Michele Bachmann is their head cheerleader.
But here comes the scary part. Members of Physicians for a National Health Program and practically every person I have spoken to here in Massachusetts ALSO want to KILL H.R. 3200 because they have every reason to believe that it is THE MASS PLAN ON STEROIDS.
People here are NOT happy with the Mass Plan. It is highly discriminatory, it has the same rotten fines/penalties that H.R. 3200 incorporates, the same "exchanges" where one's income will be based on their federal tax returns and perhaps the best policy they will be able to afford will include a $5000 deductible!! etc. (Which is basically NO INSURANCE).
I'm talking to people here who cannot afford ANY plan and are opting to go without insurance and just pay the fine! ALL THEY CAN AFFORD IS THE FINE!!!
The doctors who support Conyers/Weiner H.R. 676 Amendment to H.R. 3200 ALSO WANT TO KILL H.R. 3200 AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO COMPROMISE!!!
The group, "Mad As Hell Doctors" who are caravanning to D.C. for a rally do NOT approve of a compromise. They are strictly Single Payer advocates.
So, here we have a strange bedfellows conundrum. The far right wing wackos who are Libertarian and basically want to kill H.R. 3200 out of their intense hatred of illegal immigrants and their general greed and the far left wing Progressives who realize that there can be NO "reform" of health care as long as profits/big corporate health insurance and big pharma are still allowed to control health care, are in agreement that H.R. 3200 is totally unacceptable legislation.
Tonight there will be a "Town Hall Forum on Health Care Reform" here in Pittsfield brought to us by the Tea Baggers. I will be there with other nurses and doctors to voice our opinions.

I would appreciate comments from everyone on this. And remember. I am talking about highly educated physicians and nurses who are vehemently opposed to H.R. 3200 for MANY solid reasons.
