Ed Schultz and the NAACP's Ben Jealous took Glenn Beck to task for his revisionist history, dismissing the fact that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. died while fighting for the rights of public sector union members. As they rightfully pointed out, if he were alive today, he'd be out there with these protesters marching against these Republican governors who are doing their best to destroy what's left of collective bargaining rights for unions in America.

Probably just penis envy. MLK is Nobel Peace winner and is respected in the world.

Was that comment intended to be nonsense? In his day MLK was involved in many marches, but it wasn't the marches themselves that brought about the changes. The marches merely brought the problems to the attention of a public that would have just as soon look the other way. Rather than eliminating racist idiots, no doubt if MLK were alive today he'd be loudly vilified by the entire Reichwing Kast of Krazzee Klowns.
There is a reason why Beck, Limpballs, and the rest say what they do about King, et al. The corporate overlords pay them to. Yes, they really do feel the way they speak, but few have the gumption to actually say it--until they are paid 7-8 figures to say it. The people who watch/listen to this garbage enjoy the vicarious thrill of having someone express what they feel. This is why these guys do so well. Racist comments feed the racist anger, and they can get their racist jones satisfied. When the racist lathering keeps escalating, it is more difficult to deal with these people in rational ways; ergo, the split between 2 groups of America (cons and libs) widens--and the corporate overlords benefit from the ignorance of the cons.
How the reichwing mob can be anti union and pro CEO's, wallstreeters, et al making millions and billions with begrudging the working man a decent wage is beyond me. May not be saying this right but someone once said something like the common people in America are all millionaires in waiting. The corporations have the reichwing masses deluded that there is a place for them at the table.....much like the lotteries.

America (more so the reichwing) always needs someone to hate. People of color, commies now Muslims and tomorrow it will be something else, probably the American left and then the center. America is becoming more and more polarized and if the shit hits the fan if am afraid it will not be like what is happening in many of the popular uprisings in the Arab world but more like Bosnia with neighbor against neighbor. The hate on the right along with their corporate backing is poised to bring on the most violent America yet seen. It don't look pretty folks and I don't like our chances. Let us hope there are really many more sane thinking people than the right/media/corporate world are leading us to beleive.

liar of all time. If you notice, he never says that MLK didn't die fighting for Union labor. He says he didn't know. But he does know and therefore he's not only lying with the intent to misinform, he's also lying to malign the reputation of MLK, which unfortunately isn't a crime, as well as lying about historical facts with the aim of convincing his listeners they've been lied to for years.

Basically, this just shows Beck and FOX News for what they are, outright racists and lying bastards.
Beck is trying to bait labor union viewers dumb enough to watch FOX into believing that Dr. King didn't really care that the sanitation workers that were organizing, only that they were blacks. He and FOX know that a lot of sixpack viewers, union and non-union watch FOX and is trying to drive a wedge into the union movement.
I think the ultimate insult to Dr. King was when he pulled his Rally of Assholes on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial last year. He wants to be the revered statesman Martin Luther King was, but all he is is a Mormon jackass cracker.
Really hoping his head explodes on TV someday, I'd pay to see that event.
