It has to be very hard to make the insanity that is the republican party appear funny! I have know for a long time that they had problems but the modern day republican seems to be a mixture of greed rand style with a very heavy maybe as much as half Machivelli thrown in to sweeten the pot.
They want what they want and don't mind if something happens to you as long as they get what they want. Then you have the followers, the poor uninformed republican religious right.
These people believe. They believe what they have been told from the time they were very small children. If you say the right words, at the right time, from then on you are a believer.
The republican polls discoverd this many years ago and have been using it to thir best advantage.
Even though every thing they do is totally against the teachings of the god that the right profess to follow.
But because they have used the words and timing effectivly they continue to believe. Even if evey thing they see around them tells them different, they will continue to believe because believing is where they find their strength.
I don't want to take away something that brings comfort to someone else, but I don't like their beliefs messing up things for everyone else! There has to be some way to separate beliefe from reality.

People act on their beliefs, affecting reality. That's why religion really is such an unnecessary harm.

we should be backing away slowly, going "Oh my god, they're INSANE!"

Under Bush we suffered outrage fatigue now with the current crop of crazy - we are suffering from insanity fatigue.

Is anyone else out there F**ING TIRED of our so-called politicians wasting enormous amounts of time and energy 'trying' to pass health insurance reform?!?

If these bozos worked for a corporation, they'd be out on their collective asses for taking far too long, and using far too many resources, in what is likely a failed effort to pass reform.

And, the guy with the baby should be pilloried for his insane choice of 'props' to recite his personal opinions about health insurance reform. Maddie looked uncomfortable and confused--granted, a common response to Republicanism. He should be ashamed of himself--oh, wait, Republicans don't take personal responsibility for their acts or beliefs--silly me!

The Dem's are just shameless two faced liars anymore apparently. All behind a veil of "Nice".

to show your real stripes, eh?

LOL

I see her true colors shining through.

with the two incompetent behemoths running the show the US is in for very tough lessons, I don't see any way around it at this point.

When Bush was in power asking how we we're going to pay for the war a non-issue for the Rep's and the Dem's reminded them we we're deficit spending our way through 2 wars.

When the Dem's won, that question went away and, oh, yes we need health-care reform but how are we going to pay for it? Easy we could end the wars we are paying for via deficit spending. So there you have it we just keep going into debt, we have no money for either the wars, health-care reform, stimulus, or bailout.

But remember these are short term problems, one day over the rainbow Bernanke will quit debasing our currency and rein in all that liquidity. The US will pay down it's debt of biblical proportions, Geithner will grow a brain, Goldman Sachs is doing God's work, and Neo will save us all from the Matrix.

Say

Don't you work for an healthcare insurance company?

VegasRage's picture
No

I work for a medical claims processing company, we look for billing discrepancies for medicaid, medicare, and commercial providers. Our company saves the tax payer and insurance companies money by finding bad claims. None at our company has a dog in the fight with respect to health-care being public or private.
