Actually it's more akin to a pig in a poke.

The emperor has not clothes was more like boosh parading around so proud, when everyone knew he was a damned fool.

mega profits off the sick and needy

god that is brillant

you have got to love a country that can design an economic system or systems that can make mega profits off the sick and needy and even the criminals with private prisons.

give cheney credit he invested in wars for profits and private prisons.

is there any more of a self righteous nation than america claiming to be a christain nation while making mega profits off the sick and needy and having these continual wars for profits.

best yet the pres gets a peace award while sending more troops to a foreign country to protect us from their army, navy, and air force that is nonexistent.

bush jr gave the freedom award to those that helped to start the iraq illegal war.

the worst part most americans believe him. they want to because it is muslims and in america's mind all muslims are terroists.

we invaded iraq to get even for 9/11 we did not care that they had nothing to do with 9/11 just kill muslims.

as a young man I never dreamt that my country could sink so low and be so corrupt in the world and cause such suffering in the world all in the name of capitalism.

even the journalists are in on it including the supreme court. imperialism is everywhere in america. everywhere.

capitalism will warp the minds and create greed beyond belief for those that love capitalism and americans love their capitalism.

few understand what michael moore understands about capitalism. very few.

the devil himself could not have designed a more corrupt evil system than capitalism and christian america loves it.

maybe they really dont believe what jesus taught about love and service to others

naw the christians hold a bake sale and raise 400 dollars for a family that has a medical bill of 40,000 and go bankrupt over medical bills and the self righteous think they are doing the christian thing while they support corrupt politicans that dont support health care for all.

that is how warped religion can become.

Love that comment simply because it is so damned true. The rank and file xtians just don't get what is going on, nor do they seem to care when the sheer hypocrisy of it is pointed out to them.

This was the final straw.

I'm going third party in 2010 and 2012. The system sucks.

Meet the new boss...same as the old boss.

all three of you. Get started on sending someone like Bernie Sanders to Washington for your state today! We need them there now!

Green, I was running the risk of helping someone worse than whoever the Dem was get whatever seat was up for grabs. Now I can see that not voting my conscience only to get kicked in the teeth is not worth it.

giving it to whoever seemed the best person for the job regardless of party affiliation since 1978. Until 2006 when I voted straight Democratic party thinking that it would make a difference and believing the campaign rhetoric of Peter Welch. After he stuck a shiv into the backs of the people who elected him I swore I'd never vote for another Dem(obviously I made that pledge concerning Rethugs after Jim Jeffords wisely abandoned the party of no). But I relented just enough in 2008 to vote for Obama, although if McKinney had been on our ballot I probably would have voted for her just didn't want to take a chance on a write in not being counted. And that one Dem vote in 2008 hasn't been working out too well for me. I'd rather vote for someone that actually will work for the people and sleep good at night. And to all those who are always saying that doing so allows the regressives to take control I beg to differ. It's the voting for the less regressive regressives that allows the regressives to take control as is obvious now.

not so fast - it could be a hoax, you know, to break us down.

some late today are still holding out for single payer all around.

It was a nice few minutes of HOPE wasn't it? Prepare yourself for the Rethug landside victories and eventually the White House with a possible (ugh) President Palin and the total end of the US as a respectable country. And of course the endless whining of the Dems as to "what happened?" It'll be worse than the Rethug whining ever was, believe it or not.

That launches wars of aggression? That blocks real international climate change reform by secretly colluding with other wealthy nations and the IMF to screw over a majority of the worlds population? That authorizes torture? That covers up torture? That blocks torture prosecutions? That escalates it's phony "war on terror" that is nothing more then a thinly veiled imperial expansion?

Sorry Liberalicious but the "US as a respectable nation" ship sailed quite some time ago.
