They all suck's picture

But why pay attention to it?

There are better ways to alleviate boredom.

Col. Kilgore's picture

... that blows no minds. LOL. Over at the Hannity Forum, the frightened little minds are totally freaking out.

The remaining offal of the Republican Faithful just can't handle what is happening to their worldview.

In short, they're imploding. The vacuum inside their heads has finally failed. Gaskets gone. Ka-BOOOM! BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHA.

CFAmick's picture

It's not the world that has changed, it's the worldview. We're not interested in their worldview, and we're not going to apologize.

Savagewinston's picture

..at this turnaround?

If McCain had been elected, it would have been just the same as the last eight years were....

for making said transition so seamless for Jon. No shortage of comedy material with all of the ding-dongs employed there.

Thanks, idiots ... we appreciate it!

MsJoanne's picture

And no kidding! They were crazy before, now they are totally over the edge.

I love it, myself. It's always fun to watch right-wing crazy. :D

calgarylady's picture

I didn't think they could get any crazier! Truly entertaining, ain't it.

:)

If McCain and Palin had won, my head would have already exploded.

I guess the right thought Jesus had given them the whole country forever and now they find out that isn't exactly the case.

We just stepped into the scene to shake things up a little, no need for them to come totally unglued.

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

I want to be part of a nation with a future. Now the US has a future again.

Abbybwood's picture

IMHO, are "terrorists" with their rhetoric.

They are trying to instill fear into the American public with their rabid, hate-filled paranoid right-wing wacko thinking.

It's almost as if they are all collectively yelling "Fire!!" in a crowded theater.

Shame on the whole lot of them.

I'm so happy I rarely turn the damn TV on.

(Except for Rachel maybe or Olbermann).

They don't have the guts to go blow themselves up to kill innocent people (yes that was meant as an insult). They are demagogues bent on destroying America from within not from without. They oppose anything that helps the common American or the common human. They are true elitists who think only they know what is right for us and fuck anybody who disagrees with them.

So I say, yes, Abbybwood, you are correct, they are terrorists because they are fearmongers.
One question I have for Limbaugh, though: if the president fails, doesn't that mean ... our country fails along with him? I mean, Bush failed time and time again, and look where our country has been headed the past eight years: in the toilet financially; our horrible international reputation only now starting to rebound because the world sees we elected Obama; our Gulf Coast citizens still in dire straits years after Katrina.
Just wondering about that failure thing.

xoites defends Constitution's picture

If Rush only supports a President who does serious damage to the country and wants to destroy a President or hope he fails if all indications are he will begin the real process of fixing the country then the only rational conclusion is that Limbaugh considers our country the enemy and wants it destroyed.

Fear mongers =/= terrorists, by the way. Otherwise we would not need two different words.

CFAmick's picture

Tax cuts for the rich. That's *really* what it's all about.

CFAmick's picture

in every movie theater in the country at every single showing, eventually, you're going to be right.

xoites defends Constitution's picture

And they won't have anybody watching them.

libsechumanist's picture

but to keep this up since they have NOTHING else - and the 20% will fall off eventually, since not even they can really swallow all this crap for too long - or they'll die off soon. It is interesting watching the Faux crowd melt down even further in these little snippets...and in the context of Jon Stewart, all the better.

Super_Bear's picture

I always wondered how many of those small minds at Fox Noise it would take to equal up to one sane and rational mind?

I hope Obama has someone putting a team together to look into the no-fly list and see how many people on that list are really a threat to anyone. Of course if he did that, then the right wingers would be too afraid to fly and the planes would be a lot less crowded.

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

miss_kitty's picture

Ted Kennedy was still on it. Wait and see, lines at airports will be shorter. You won't have to get there 2.5 hours before your sea-pdx shuttle leaves.

ConcernedCanuck's picture

More Americans (according to the ratings) watched a damn football game on television, than watched their Prez get sworn in. Nuff said.

pissed off patricia's picture

Where did you read that? Which game was it and when?

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

Andy K's picture

Not about a game being played simultaneous with the inauguration.

ConcernedCanuck's picture

I didn't add a snark to my last 2 posts. Sorry. Forgot the new world order since Jan 20th doesn't have much of a sense of humour.

xoites defends Constitution's picture

We do have a sense of decorum.

libsechumanist's picture

you know better than that. Really - low, cheap shot - even if you are conservative and I have no idea where your political leanings lie - after the tons of crap that we've gone through over the last 8 years and how ambiguous your post was, you have no right to claim ANYONE here doesn't have a sense of humor about something, whatever it is. Really.

...what has Canada / Canadians done in say, the last decade, to correct the inequalities in the world? To fix the economic problems? To provide any LEADERSHIP whatsoever?? Just askin..

The TV viewership was handicapped by losing the three million who went to see it in person.

I just got a phone call from a friend who was there. It took him 40 minutes to get out of the subway station. The National Guard closed the L'enfant Station because it was too crowded and people were advised to go to Arlington Virginia to watch it from a hill.

Ratings? Is three billion people on earth good enough for you?

instead of primetime on a Sunday evening.

I guess Canada shuts it all down on a weekday when they swear in new PM's.

ConcernedCanuck's picture

wouldn't shut it all down on a Saturday to swear in a new PM. We don't do that. We leave that to nations with royalty like England. Having said that, it is true. More watched the Pittsburgh football game than watched the coronation...ON TV. They didn't give the stats for the internet, or allow for the 2 million that were there. Did I mention those numbers were from the media?

pissed off patricia's picture

Hey, what happened with your attempt to be less snarky and cynical? Did you fall off the wagon?

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

Andy K's picture

Go to the grocery store on a Sunday evening at 8pm, then go again around noon on Tuesday. Guess which of these time-frames sees more customers.

BTW, I live in a conservative metro area, and work at a nursing home/physical rehab center. The residents stayed in their rooms to watch the ceremony during lunch, and the staff who could rescheduled their own lunches, all so they could watch the inauguration. One of the residents told me he was the ONLY person watching the AFC championship on the facility's bigscreen tv.

Jesus, CC, quit looking for stupid little shit with which to concern troll.

mudshark's picture

You know I like you bud. Sure we've disagreed on a number of issues.
But your rhetoric is getting outdated. Old even. Sorry bud just a heads up.
Sure, you're entitled to your opinion. No one is stopping you. But we don't have to listen or respond.
This is a new time here in America. And I realize that there are some issues that aren't quite where we want them to be yet. But I really believe, given time, President Obama will make vast improvements. Given time.

What is your conceptual, continuity?

libsechumanist's picture

with internet streaming (that isn't counted in any ratings) and people having to work on a Tuesday at noon (I have so many friends that couldn't watch it because of work, too bad), how could it beat a Sunday night broadcast? And don't forget the GOPers who may watch football, but not our new President being sworn in. Are there more Republican Nielson families? I have no idea.

And good point about the worldwide audience - I'm really glad non-Americans and ex-pats tuned in with us.

ConcernedCanuck's picture

Did I mention those numbers were from the media?Did I mention those numbers were from the media?

I reposted this same sentence, so those who don't understand where I was going, would see it. I was being snarky. And then when I said you don't seem to have a sense of humour anymore, you all proved me right, by attacking my post. Nice guys. From now on, I'll put LOL or /snark on them.

Amitola's picture

...but until Canada steps up to do something to change the ways of this world...instead of just hiding behind the US and UK, you really have no base. Your own leadership have cow-towed to Bush for the past 8 years and for decades before that. The elites who rule the world rule you, too - so, time to not be too snarky -eh?

"Egotism is the anesthetic that dulls the pain of Stupidity" - Frank Leahy

ConcernedCanuck's picture

Unfortunately, there are many reasons why Canada hasn't stepped up. The main one being, there are no political leaders to be chosen. You guys were fortunate to have some quality candidates. Canada has none. Besides, Canada has followed the US on anything their government does for decades. That won't change. If Obama changes things, then our gov't will follow. Your nation has more influence on the world than you would like to admit sometimes. Both good and bad.

To add to the snarky department......Ronnie Raygun's inaugural kicked Obama's in the ass in sheer volume of people watching, regardless of how crappy a candidate he was. Is that everyone else's fault?

mudshark's picture

Why do you hate America? But that would be redundant.

What is your conceptual, continuity?

thetruest's picture

i hate america too.

jwazzz's picture

I'm going to need to see some numbers to back up that last statement and remember, just comparing ABC, CBS and NBC's ratings for Reagan/Obama won't work. We have a few more outlets to choose from now - personally, my set never left MSNBC.

mudshark's picture

You might want to add the snark/.
You know, just so we know.
Been thru too much, ya know.

What is your conceptual, continuity?

ConcernedCanuck's picture

I don't hate you, or the US as a whole. I've said it before and meant it, you people are the smartest people I've ever seen posting anywhere on the internet. I actually agree with almost all the commenters on here 98% of the time on almost all subjects. If everybody had the exact same opinions, there wouldn't be a need for a blog or message board at all.

mudshark's picture

We all know that this country has been in the shitter for a long time. That's a given. No one here will dispute that.
It's just, I can see you taking your shots at our country. Now, granted, we deserved it. passed tense.
This is a new beginning here in America. Do I expect Pres Obama to kill all the birds with one stone? not likely. We've been taking a beating for so long now, that we're tired of it. All we want is a chance.
I know we need to get out of Iraq, who here doesn't? Same with Afghanistan. Who here wants to continue with that fucking disaster?
The economy, that cross's all borders. Greed knows no nationality.
Ok I'm done. You have a good night Concerned.
I don't mean to single you out. There are others as well. I just hope they read this. And give our new President a chance. That's all. We've been suffering for a long time CC. And we're tired.

What is your conceptual, continuity?

ConcernedCanuck's picture

where you are coming from Mudshark. You are not alone. Like I said above, good or bad, the US influence on even Canuckistan is huge. So when you suffer, do you not think we suffer? I haven't had a paycheque since the first week of December. Do I not have a right to be just a little cynical and annoyed at those that have done this? I think I do. I realize Canada is far from perfect and needs changed as well, but right or wrong, everyone follows the US lead on everything. Maybe that is one of the reasons the world is in such economic chaos, I don't know. Everyone has attacked Bush rightfully for 8 years, and everyone has the right to question Obama in the same way. There has to be an opposition. If there wasn't, there never would have been a grassroots campaign. I actually agree with everything you just said. Anyway, you have a good night too Mudshark.

mudshark's picture

You can have it.

What is your conceptual, continuity?

thetruest's picture

that would still be the US leading though since canada is the 51st state of america?

libsechumanist's picture

were FROM the media - do you think they are wrong? If so, why did you bring this whole hullabaloo up? If you recognized that streaming wasn't counted, again, what was your point? Just wanted to criticize folks from the US that watched football over the inauguration - two things that can't be compared because of vastly different contexts? People get snark if something is actually snarky.

And there is no "attacking" here - my post simply called your accusation that folks here have no sense of humor as being a low blow - and it was. Maybe if you wrote something funny and snarky, we would respond with a "LOL!" or "ROTFLMAO!" Why so defensive? Don't you have a sense of humor?

JohnnyBravo's picture

Um, the attendance there speaks for itself. As for Fox Noise, you knew they were gonna bring out the funny artillery 2 minutes after the oath. I bet Chris Wallace got a raise for his tomfoolery.

A whole lot of people had to go to work last Tuesday and continue doing their jobs, so they couldn't watch the inauguration live. My husband was one of those people, but he watched the re-run of it when he could.

That's why I know this has been a big damned week, I've heard nothing on the sites I visit regarding the Super Bowl. That says something just one week before the big dance.

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

I always knew Limpballs and Falafel Boy hated America. And Limpballs even goes so far as to say he wants the president (and, consequently, America) to fail.

jnratliff's picture

limpballs is to stupid to know if America fails so does he!
Stupid is as stupid does!

ShotoJamf's picture

I didn't realize that I was terrified because of the new president. I thought it was because the global economy is disintegrating before our eyes, and the US is bogged down in at least two quagmires (for starters). I'm just glad Fox is there to keep things straight for us.

If only Fox's ratings would tank. Murdoch is about profit and nothing else. He wouldn't feed this piece of shit for very long if it weren't making money for him. Let's just hope the viewership begins to deteriorate. In that light...

Hey Jon Stewart, etal. Continue bashing these fuckers. And thank you in advance.

Andy K's picture

Much like its viewers. You ever seen their demographics?

seevee's picture

I wonder how many repugs are dying every day. They old.

jwazzz's picture

I was just going to say the same things about Stewart and Murdoch. Thank you, Jon and fuck you Rupert.

jnratliff's picture

Stupid fucking republicans?
Are they all cowards.
Are they all just liars?
I know the fox news people are paid liars.
But how can the republican voters be so stupid?
Is it just a lack of desire that keeps them so stupid?
Or maybe it is just inbreeding?
I don't know for sure maybe it's a combination of all of the above.
But I say give the terrorists thay are so scared of maps to their homes and lets be done with the cowardly bastards once and for all!

miss_kitty's picture

Yeah, Norway, hyper-Sweden and France, total shite.

If he's talking about any socialistic programs here, that's because the Thugs go after any pro bono publico program hammer and tongs, until they've effectively rendered it unusable.

Same thing happens in Great Britain, the Tories dismantling and defunding medical care, then declaring it a failed program; the trains suck since the Tories privatised them, and Tony Blair, well he just let it go on. It had just started right before he was elected by that former stunning majority.
ANd the right in Canada defunded a lot of medical care.

Fuck off right wing. Why do you hate teh humanity?

ConcernedCanuck's picture

that they are rich because they stole it, or swindled it. Either way, without all that wealth, they would need the programs they slash and burn. Sad reality. And hey, could I interest you in Harper, if I throw in Layton, and the rest as a bonus? His schtick is getting more tiring than the Bush Regime.

amcinmi's picture

Not a chance, just send him to Nunavut and forget about him. Christ, we just got rid of Bush, why would you foist that tool on us.

CFAmick's picture

that tax dollars build the roads and bridges that enable commerce, and the financial structure that allowed them to build wealth in the first place. Remove the taxes, remove the infrastructure that creates wealth.

Hulk's picture

Obviously it all depends on whether or not you have a "neocon repug/fascist party member" in the White House, but this is quite absurd.

There should be protests in the streets in front of the propaganda network for these twisted traitors and the lies and filth they throw at their brain dead brown shirts. The same is true for limp balls. Enough is enough. These pigs either need to start giving the straight info or STF up!

Timmy the Music Snob's picture

wouldn't he look like the abominable snowman?! Look at that big ass retarded fucking forehead of his!

I knew it would happen just as soon as a Republican president was out and a Democratic president was in. The Clinton presidency all over again.

AGold's picture

Funny, I was trying to illustrate this for the rubes over at Redstate:

'If you sacrifice your values when they are under attack... then there not values.'

Exact thing I was trying to say over there, and I hadn't even seen this episode. Guess what? They banned me haha. Not even from just being able to post comments, but completely. I cannot even access the site from this computer anymore.

Hilarious, absolutely hilarious. I sent them a faux "I'm pissed" email just to perpetuate the joke. I wasn't trolling, I was being completely polite, but dissent is not allowed over there apparently. I hope C&L doesn't do that over here.

I know Fox News reads this blog. Two days ago when I posted a comment about Joe Biden being well versed in how to give an oath because he administered the oath of citizenship to my grandmother, within one hour, Fox News had somebody commenting live that Joe Biden does NOT know how to give an oath.

We need to keep posting here so we can make the Fox Fools really mad, LOL.

P.S. Fox News. All my emails to my friends in Austin are now being sent without interception -- and President Obama has only been in office three days!

Perhaps Obama's first air strike should have been the treasonous FOX NEWS headquarters.

Would anyone really miss them?
