Too bad we don't have a lot more politicians like Anthony Weiner in both houses of Congress. Rep. Weiner agrees with Jon Stewart -- Joe Lieberman is a dick. And Weiner says had he run against Mike Bloomberg for Mayor of New York, he'd have beaten him like a "rented mule" but he felt the health care debate was too important to leave the House.

i like that guy
I watched this yesterday morning as comedy central reruns the previous night's shows at 9am eastern time. You could just tell those two guys have so much fun together. Talk about two guys you would like to have a cocktail with, these are those guys.
I'm surprised a rep. would say that about a senator, but I sure did enjoy it when he did. I hope he doesn't get a reprimand or something for doing it.

I think his idea of finishing his political career as mayor of NYC is a good one. He knows Gracie Mansion is a dead-end job (there is no higher office after that, just ask Rudy, Ed, Mike, etc.). But the New Yorker had an interesting story about the high number of skipped votes in the House. He's a roller hockey fanatic, it seems, and he has missed a lot of unimportant votes to play his favorite game. That's the main reason he didn't run for mayor in 09.

I didn't like it when Anthony threw Alan under the bus a while back. Kinda ticked me off.
I know his voice is needed in the House...but my God, he is NEEDED in the Senate!! We need to hear these guys LOUD and OFTEN.
Our nation is sooo saturated with lies and repuke bull shit...we need progressives to call them out LOUD and OFTEN!! At least twice as often as the lies and bull shit!

Who rents mules? And above all, who BEATS mules? This language paints a very disturbing picture that I don't think the Senator wants associated with his image. You don't have to be an animal lover to object to this language, just humane.
